  • Oh my godness! I finally feel a bit better about doing Tai Chi. This video helped a ton!

  • i'm getting relaxed just by watching it

    so good to watch!

  • Very nice. Though his form differs in some respects from the one I practice, Mr. Tsao shows an extraordinary level of skill, and he makes the interplay of yin and yang in his form very clear.

  • can they use it as a fighting move?????

  • @toulengher123 Look at the movements: It's all "fighting moves".

  • This is a beautiful piece of art, i would love to learn it. It might take a lifetime, I can't imagine how it would be to master it.

  • @madman2u. Why not just make it up, that's what he is pretty much doing anyway. Just relax and move and breathe and let the movement develop itself. Put in the time and the slow effort and watch how your movement will develop. He isn't very good there is no reason you cannot do much better, not that it matters I suppose.

  • I can say with a very happy face that I started doing Tai Chi because of this video. Thanks Jesse. I appreciate the fact that you took the time to share your skills with us.

I now practice Tai Chi every day for at least a half an hour or more. Thank you so much.

  • Ya. I _Knowwww..... That's y I watch him

    ( monkey c

  • He's very graceful and easy to follow

  • Kosombi@ that's your opinion !' right?

  • All these guys who talk/ project through video in the Internet are real assholes, to advertise only.

Except for the guy who posted this video.

Don't waste your time about all these useless asshole-debates over the Internet.

They will really waste your time and your energy. I have given up the Internal Arts.

So, what it remains that all these assholes give up the Internet, or they will stop showing off Iron Shirt (ironing your clothes) on the Internet. Fuck them.

  • @kosombi Whatever your trying to say... google translator hasn't done a very good job of it =P

  • 980graziella

    Yu on it

  • Vital Energy...

  • Surfin

  • Waves of enrgy

  • name song??

  • Coffee? Tea?

  • Ya there is defenite n r g l000 rpm s or more hidden in a wave of chi or sometin

  • when he drags his hands i can see a trail of energy. it may just be the camera is faulty but i see this same effect in alot of tai chi videos. not sure if chi or auras can be seen on a camera but i defenitly see something. same with his legs. a very transparent energy force....also not sure if you need the ability to see energy inorder to see it in a video or if the energy automaticaly is visable on a camera. i cant see whole auras but the first layer.

  • @michaelscola indeed, we see something tracing to movement of his hand like a trail of energy, or like the pointer trail you can activate on windows. The only thing that is pretty sure, is that's pretty good tai chi. Valuable video ! Thanks taichitsao ;)

  • People this is NOT for killing people

    This is for defense

if you use this to offence I will kick your ass al the way the your going to cry

  • see it fill it forget it

  • Yes '

  • soo then is it safe to say that the martial art aspect and the medical aspect are two separate forms? Or can the form above be used to defend ones self from attackers?

  • @Rktkid18 The movements of those forms have a martial background and can be used for self-defense techniques. However, the way HOW you exercise them can differ between martial art, medicine, art and philosophy.

  • Masterful timing and balance. Tai che Enlightenment is not an offensive form Waxahatche, it is neither defensive. Once the mind and breathing along with the timing of m oves, you will experience the true principles of energy asimilation.

  • its for helth but it CAN be fatal especially the Taichi kick and weapon. a robber robbed my sling bag during I'm coming down an escalator and I kicked him with only 2 Taichi kicks and he off roling down the escalator~

  • Wonderful. I am glad to live in San Diego where Master Tsao is located. When I collect enough funds I will hope I can have the honor of private lessons.

  • That's pure genius$

  • Hello'

    Is there anybody out there?

Just nod if you can hear me'

  • Bleedhate07@ - greetings!

    And to Each his Own!

Muay Thai is a awesome Martial Art

    NoDoubt ! NoDoubt !

  • NoDoubt! Any exercise done properly will serve to credit your health. I am a fan of Muay Thai it is simular to a Chinese military style Kung Fu , where elbows are emphasized. The only thing is it does not have have Qi as a root. Tai Chi does, it is far more dangerous and powerful , if you can understand the princiles of it's power!

  • Ya just thought I throw dat in the bucket , wether yu knows it or not, good times/ good times.

  • ......::::The chi energy takes over, and your left side of your brain is making everything happen without you being totally aware! This mental aspect is a secret meditation that some people still miss, due to the fact they r trying to perfect it, or just r not focus. There is also breathing involved wer if you r not breathing correctly you can not tune in!

  • Greetings plovakia@

    May u b well'

The power of Tai Chi is hard to describe

Sometimes I find myself fustrated because I can feel it , but I can't describe it the same as I feel it. The one thing I can speak of is the calmness it brings(empty u mind) once you have forgoten all things while you are doing your form.......

  • Thus it intercepts the apponents moves, causes the aggresser to retreat.

  • plovakia@ - tai chi is thee martial art!

There isn't any TKD kicks that can defeat this power- u see , the tai chi power is more a defensive root, it is no ment 4 striking...,,,;..

  • @Waxfiretape well, I once read of a tai chi master defeating a muay thai fighter. Tai Chi is really my style coz I'm always on the defensive.

  • It looks pretty && all, but it just seems a little too slow paced for me after being in TKD. Not saying anything negative about it before people attack me. . . I would like to try it out. Who knows, maybe I would enjoy this art. I think I'll keep checking into this. . . !

  • my dad practiced TKD, as he gets older he finds he get health problems like hands & heels becoming numb coz of the training in the past. TKD focuses on the strength on the outside while Tai Chi is on the inside. you should give it a go, it teaches patience too.

  • @plovakia Well I was thinking of fininshing up TKD then going into another Martial Arts form. Muay Thai sounds AWESOME(:

  • @bleedhate07 muay thai? well that would be the last martial art for me. Muay thai is too ... hard. It can cause lotsa health problems as you grow older. muay thai is always said to be the best martial art but it's not true. the style give a slight advantage/disadvantage but the real strength is from the person that practices it. btw Tai Chi is hard to remember that's y it starts out slow. As you progress you'll move faster

  • Actually I know some people that take Muay Thai. So does just about every martial arts cause health problems?? No. TKD does not. My Grandmaster is in perfect health && he's pretty old may I add. My cousin fights with plenty of people who take Muay Thai, young && old, & they are just fine. I watched a show that involved Muay Thai && it strenghtens the bone.

  • Has Tai Chi ever been scientifically demonstrated to be beneficial? I'm not talking about flexibility and lowering blood pressure (playing with your dog can do that), I'm talking about the whole aspect of "Chi".

  • @van1980 yes actually. although some scientists still dispute what qi is, some say its just the focused concentration. anyways, tai chi is for balancing the body's natural energy, weight and everything else. different scientists say different things. qi can be seen from a heat sensor moving through the body and qi gong can do many amazing things. many different arts and healthcare sciences have been based on qi, its movements and are recognized to have real benefits. acupuncture, qi gong, etc.

  • 3:33 When he says don't keep the hand too high, it sounds like the most philosophical and important piece of wisdom. Sounds like the best advice in the world coming from that guy.

  • 2:43 lesson starts

  • Ohmmmmmmm.

  • and thats how u fail.. because you never left room for growth

  • @1560129 lol. Funny. . .

  • TaoOfTheFist : 24 posture Simplified Form of tai chi chuan, sometimes called the Beijing form for its place of origin, is a short version of Yang style tai chi composed of twenty-four unique movements.

So here is the answer: he Must includes that to put it clear, there are Several Tai Chi Chuan styles and is very confusing to identify each one.

But from the start I'm not say that: I just answer the comment below of FriedChkn4Eva.

  • Comment removed

  • @agfanara: While the Simplified 24 form was certainly influenced by the Yang style of Tai Chi, and is most closely aligned with that style, it contains elements of other styles. Therefore, it is not actually a "short version of Yang style tai chi" and is definitely not a Yang family form.I respectfully disagree that including a "Yang" disclaimer to introduce the "24" form is necessary. The true error would be to represent this form as a "Yang" form, which this video does not.

  • man i would love to go to a master to teach me this stuff.. if only i could find one..

  • Sure,it's the Beijing variation, not the real Yang Style...excuse me taichisao, but why didn't you include this data in the information of this video to avoid confusing and misunderstoods?thanks, regards.

  • He never said it was Yang in the first place, so why would he include that? By the way, are there any physical differences between the Beijing 24 and traditional Yang? Just curious..

  • @TaoOfTheFist : Some differences include: pivoting from the front of the foot in the 24 vs. pivoting from the heel in the traditional Yang form during the "step back and repulse the monkey" sequence; raising the foot up from the heel in the 24 vs. keeping the foot down in the traditional Yang form during the "push" posture; the arms/hands maintain a more pronounced downward low arc in the roll back posture in the 24, while they are not that low in the Yang traditional roll back posture.

  • It's Always So Beautifull!

  • This is beautiful, but i'm not sure I have the patience to learn Tai Chi.......something I might regret when i'm 90 sitting in a nursing home, wishing I had done this.....

  • type yang? 24 form ? sure?==

  • very nice

  • is this yang style?

  • yeah, kinda...

technically this is a modified yang style form, called the 'beijing 24 set' because it is not officially recognized by members of the yang family. But then again, neither is the Cheng Man Ching 37 (70 something if counted traditionally) but they both come from yang style.

  • it's a yang style variation.

  • Traditional tai chi with kick ass nike sneekers lol

  • @iRufus2k9 why not? there is no doubt about ...

  • is it true that women can do tai chi better? just asking dun flame me? i kno absolutely nothing about tai chi, just asking?

  • There are many women who are masters at the art, however I wouldn't say that they are better JUST because they are women. A man could outclass a woman, or the other way around.

  • Comment removed

  • Many can -- women tend to be more relaxed

  • Hmm, maybe that's because they purposefully make men to be more agitated?

  • Wmen are more flexible and their movements look very gracedul. Women, however, have hard time getting the chu to dantie fron which it flows ut to the moving body parts.

  • men can be just as flexible as a woman just takes a while or start doing flexibility excises from like age 6 and your body will stay flexible

  • Thanks! My home used to be right next to Tsindau Wushu School and I saw lots of people stretch. After I picked u Taichi, I found it was difficult to lower down and lift my legs high. I shall stretch as much as I can find time. Thanks again. Do you know Taichi master Li deyin in Beijing?

  • no :S i live in blackpool u.k i wish i did live in beijing tho :P your best stretching about 1 hour each day min if u got time that is 10 min each leg then some other basic stretches should help you out :) also if its dificult to get lower down maybe do some strengh exicses for your legs :) and if your young do wushu aswell as tai chi if your over 40 mabey to late to start wushu :S but if your only say 16-30 then start it but dont rush it it takes time :)

  • the forms are for the flow of your chi -.- tai chi is all about using the opponents energy plus yours to do damage, its not like muay thai or something.

  • i dont see how this can hurt some one ?

  • You can't see how a bomb hurt people when u just look at it eh

  • Why are the majority of individuals posting on threads relating to Tai Chi so keen on people getting hurt?

--Even exponets and masters of "outer" martial arts have made it clear that one learns such an art so that they do not need to use it. A cliche, but a cliche that stands to this day.

Realised men and women seek not to inflict harm on another.

  • you better watch taichi movie by jet li.

  • It's not about hurting anyone. It's about health, balance, energy, meditation. Read up on it. If you want to hurt someone, buy a gun...

  • @glennokada but guns are not cheap.

  • @glennokada or do like me - train karate and kickboxing :P

  • @glennokada nice

  • @glennokada, Tai Chi originnaly erupts from China, during a 'siege' were the chinese people weren't allowed to train martial arts.

They then slowed the pace on their training drastically, so the siegers could'nt see what they were doing.

Why do you think some of the moves includes a sword?

  • @glennokada Agree, but I own guns. just for defense. Tai chi doesn't stop bullets.

But you are still correct my man.

  • @glennokada

actually the highly accomplished Supreme Masters of the ordinary Masters in Tai Chi can do more then stop bullets, but don't ever expect to see them in action though.........

  • @glennokada Actually Tai chi is about hurting people all martial arts were made with the intention to kill. Its just that in times of peace, they simplified it and made it into a sport. Can't you see beyond the slow movement that there is blocking, throwing and head blows in there?

  • @glennokada not sure if you know what "Martial Art" means. read up on it.

  • Comment removed

  • @glennokada You have obviously never met anyone that REALLY knows Tai Chi.

  • a tiger cant hurt u wen u just look at it

  • maravilloso , amo el taichi!!!! y me encanta .

  • 1 question wasn't tai chi a combat art a very long time ago???

  • its a Chinese system of slow meditative physical exercise designed for relaxation and balance and health martial arts form of meditation with a constant flow of energy and movement. It combines mental concentration, slow breathing , thats all i know theres all kinds of taichi

  • There are legendary stories about the founding masters of Chen en Yang style :) All of them skilled fighters and of high ethics .

so yes ,Tai chi masters in those were good skilled fighters :)

  • Taiji masters do soft break--break boards/bricks/stones with the same soft technique. If you can break boards, you can break bones. Yes, it works.

  • Great Master Tsao is simply amazing, I would be happy to achieve 10% of Great Masters ability.

  • Qué maravilla de movimientos... Esa suavidad y elegancia es muy difícil de ver entre los occidentales que practicamos el tai chi . Fantástico! Una delicia.

  • Nice vid...

    well done

  • Thank you!

    Namaste!

  • Beautiful video!

  • Very nice video explanation! So subtile movements but very exausting ones!

    Good video!

  • lo chevere del tai chi es que solo hay que a prenderse los mismos movimientos y perfeccionarlos

  • oh the other thing is i will take on ANY Martial artest in the WORLd and all i require is my CAR and i will beat you all so how can any martial art just teach fighting that would surely be a waste of time, taiji is so much more.

  • You'll run is over in your car? That's not exactly fair.

  • matisamd: we dont learn tai chi to fight. first you need to be humble to learn martial arts well

  • Comment removed

  • Tai chi is not primarily for fighting, but because of its apparently gentle nature, it also has combat applications and before you ask, it has many of the same techniques you would see in aspects of kung fu. Just do some research.

  • Just google or utube erle montaigue and paul brecher utube has some great vids to help see how real tai ji can be used.

Bruce lee's one inch punch and 3 meter kick were based in true tai ji.

  • Very well demonstrated and explained!

    Hen Hao!

  • Tai Chi is an incredibly beautiful yet very deceiving martial arts- The purpose of the concentraion movement is for muscle memory ,focus,descipline,flexibility-in combat the movements are slick & incredibly fast & deadly. Look up tai chi combat*

  • perhaps one should consider the possibility that some people train for reasons other than combat effectiveness.

  • I've trained in an mma gym before, and we practiced countless transitions, locks, reversals etc... very slowly over and over again until we got them right.

Tai Chi is the same thing, except there is a much much more in depth concept of how far into 'getting it right' you can go.

Just like in mma, you don't actually do your drills and exercises in a real fight, but bits and pieces of it come out naturally when you do fight.

  • tai chi is not really fighting. is it?

  • T'ai Chi chuan, is an incredibly effective fighting system, all the techniques you need are there, question is do people have the patience and will to research and stratch the surface?

  • you just dont get it kid

  • hes showing what u need to do idiot if he was doing it fast u cant learn it bitch and fuck off

  • Cry more and stop pretending you know anything else than how to play your pathetic video games, nerd. First find yourself a girlfriend and stop being such a virgin and then you can talk to me again you nolife MMO geek.

  • you are awesome at this you rock

  • Thank You for sharing this wonderful demonstration. Much energy.

  • This helped me alot thank u Master Jesse Tsao

  • This is Yang style tai chi short form

  • in my imagination, i see him waterbending (from Avatar the Last Airbender) xD

  • that's because waterbending was based off tai chi styles

  • the mine controls the body and the body controls the mine amen

  • the body only controls the mind if you are weak and undisciplined...

  • After watching your introduction partial explaning the flow, I was able to connect what I knew. Thank you so very much I am hoping to become a master of taiji and of the use of Yin and Yang energies, I consider you one of my heros now ^_^
