Take away the God aspect and I think that this theory still has merit. When the Earth passes through through the "Galactic Equator" , it is said the poles of Earth will shift. Is this possible? well you could be right about the time , cause there is no way to translate the concept of time and space for it differs a great deal here on earth with our gross material brain (wich happens to be extremely limited) and the " beyond" . ...I think it interesting that only last week we had a massive earthquake that killed over 100.000 people. now, think about this in terms of the video and its premise of a great flood killing or wiping out the human race...Well, all them years ago 13000, perhaps it did because I am sure the amount of people in teh world then was perhaps a very small number...And put that on top of floods, tsunamis and disease then the Mayan prediction is indeed plausible...

Take away the God aspect and I think that this theory still has merit. When the Earth passes through through the "Galactic Equator" , it is said the poles of Earth will shift. Is this possible? Who knows, but, if the Moon can effect the oceans by gravitational pull, Why is this so unbelievable? I don't believe that it will be an extinction event, but I think it will have some effect on the Earth.

the earth along with the sun bob through the galactic plane on a regular basis as the sun orbits the galaxy. it has happened numerous times before. there is no evidence of any crust shift as a result in the geologicial record.
the poles swapping polarity however does occur and there is evidence in the orientation of magnetic particles in lava deployed before and after the shift within the geological record.
but this is a natural event not related to this galactic alignment.

a pole shift is happening now and will take place over the next 300 years or so. theories as to why this happens include a tightening of the magnetic lines as they twist causing them to snap and reverse.
the worst this event will bring is gaps in the earths electromagnetic field allowing aurora all over the earth and maybe a little more solar radiation in which will have more effect on electronic systems than people.
Shielding of the vulnerable systems will cure this.

Even though it's been proven by people incredibly more knowledgeable then them, they still think that they know what's right. I don't believe any of the religious things that have been stated about this, but I do think that there is something very big about to happen in the year 2012. Maybe it will be an extinction event. Well, now you've thrown me in the middle. I don't know what to believe any more. At first, I thought nothing was going to happen at all. Then, I watch a few shows on 2012 and my opinion is switched. Then, you show me that video and I'm lost. Oh well. If it happens, it happens. We can't do anything about it. If it doesn't happen, we continue living until something else goes wrong.
