What was Zappa like when you met him anyway?

He was very formal with a commanding presence. A big, black bodyguard stood next to him who gave us 15 min and when the time was up he promptly showed us out. Frank was sitting through the interview and when I met him several years later he was standing. I was struck by how short he was. He was a towering genius, nevertheless.
