Say your wife is a secret agent for the CIA, and with your wife's help the CIA sends you to Africa to investigate suspected sales of uranium ore to Iraq, and you then write an inaccurate op ed piece about your mission in the NYT critical of the administration. Why, after injecting yourself into the political fray in this way, would you not expect your wife's cover to be blown?

R.I.P., douchebag. You outed an active CIA agent and endangered the contacts she had crafted over many years of service. CIA morale and its effectiveness to maintain the confidentiality of sources was heavily damaged. These people stake their lives on defending the United States. And this partisan douchebag tore that to pieces in a fit of partisan hackery. Shame on him.
Those Americans who exhalt him should do their homework first. Patriotism needs facts.
