once put my rs125 against a fireblade down the track on a 5 lap circuit... i won by a country mile... on a serious note he finished about half hour before me.
@FullBloodedHmoob yo man harley riders are losers! all they want is tension and shit! they ride a bike that sounds like elephant's furt and they think it's so cool!
I have the same bike it's yellow it's a little tall but Ive had many bikes and this one feels much like a 600 it's probably overall the best 1000 Ive ridden. And the midrange is really nice no need to gear down. If you are going to spend money on a 1000 I would recommend this one. I don't like how the fairing is on the side much.
@mujahed1969 - bro, i just got 1000rr (09') and i saw the CBR modification in youtube - something about pulling out a cable valve in the under tray that eventually will make the stock exhaust sounds louder (a bit nicer that is)..will there be any effect on the bike? if anyone knows anything about this, appreciate your advise..all of ya'
@greenmarine6 Hey genious, those speakers have a volume control. Besides, if the wind at 185 is too harsh for you or your little speakers, maybe you should be watching videos of something a little less exhilarating. And this coming from a Marine?!?! God help us.
When I replaced the wind sound with music on my other video , the Adrenalin junkies pooped on me, they preferred the bike and the wind sound only... according to them "whats the point"
There 2 intake and exhaust valves in which the 1st stage opens up at around 5000 rpm and the 2nd stage of valves will open up at around 7500rpm, my point is, that this bike does sounds horrible at idle and low rpm (below 5k rpm) and then it gets better at midrange ( between 5k - 7500 rpm) , but after that.... Believe me, no stock production bike can scream like the blade. Thats why US version of the blade got power cut at high rpm because the sound had to be limited because it exceeds the legal
@mujahed1969 Fuck dude, I gotta get a video of my 08 blade doing a flyby. I got it tuned and those intake/exhaust valves gutted. It no longer dies off at high RPM and it's a straight pipe.
@mujahed1969 It's not 2 stage valves, it's 2 stage injectors, which is the same as any other high performance sport bike right now. 2 banks of injectors for each cylinder, your rpm's are about right for when the 2nd bank kicks in. Also, if he has the stock pipe on it, it's on a servo system with a "valve" that opens and closes at different stages in the rpm's as well, causing a different sound at idle/low rpm than wide open. just my 2 cents
Ive got the same bike and am close to the same age. Here in Louisiana the roads suck. Fastest Ive done is 165mph due to upcoming T's in the road or just crappy road conditions. People like to comment about the exhaust on this bike. Saying it sounds horrible or like a lawn mower. The proof is in the pudding folks This bike rocks!
Hey Mujahed1969! I recently bought a brand new cbr1000rr 2008 for $ 8500.00 It had .05 miles on it and just couldn't pass up such a deal. I love my bike so far. The weather in Colorado has been really bad so I haven't ridden it as much as I've wanted to. From what I've seen the only other bikes out there that are close or better are the Bimmer and the Aprilia RSV F. If Honda wants to get back on top they need to implement more electronics ie: T/C, Race,Rain etc and maybe better brakes..go HONDA!
knowing you're from US... get the Z-BOMB, and get Bazzaz AFR top unit that includes QS & TC , but before that, you should have full exhaust system with racing air filter.
After getting and then installing all the above, look for a beemer and then bitch slap it over 1/2 mile.... and in the track, you can bitch slap it stock if you wish
give the bullshit sometime and you'll read some article saying "the beemer is over hyped and I know why already
@mujahed1969 Thats it man. The BMW is better stock, but the CBR is kicking its ass with a little tuning. Savage bike man, it'll be my next racer hopefully. Will stick with my 2004 blade for now.
did u see how fast it gone done from 298 km(186mph) to 150 km to (93mph) in 3 second ?? i ve done 175mph on mine and i swear i didnt want to ,,i just pass friend of mine who was doing 153mph,,, brilliant bike ,, i love my fierblade
Do these really handle relatively like a 600? I've heard that alot and didn't believe it, I've ridden an '04 R1, 05 Gixxer 1K, and 07 1000RR and none of those felt anything like a 600, well the R1 felt the smallest and lightest. But after hearing these weigh under 440lbs, it's believable since the 2004 model 600's weighed about the same. I'd love to ride one of these, but no one around here has one.
It does weighs like a 600, but I never owned one, I own 2 fireblades, this one and 2005 Repsol which cranks up over 200 hp with HRC goodies and when comparing these 2 superbikes, they clearly belong to 2 different worlds. So yes, 08+ fireblades are a new standards of super-bikes, its high, short and its mass is centralized and extremely maneuverable, its ready to put your knees on the ground even at high speeds.
@mujahed1969 damn. I can't wait to get the chance to ride one. Does it want to lean over far? or hard to get to lean at first? The 1000's I rode felt like they didn't want to lean at first, but were real neutral once leaned over. I guess I mean the steering was a little heavy in tansitions. The 600's I ride want to lean all the way over and it seems like I have to stop from leaning or it'll lay all the way down, I mean like I have to hold it up during mid-corner or it'll fall.
@AJballer practice throttle control and weight distribution.. If you are making a good corner at speed, you should have one butt cheek on the seat and your other off to help give good weight on the forks and try working on taking the corner with power as that will help mash your forks thus pushing that front tire harder in the street a.k.a more traction... just dont burn out and dont lean off if you are goin too slow... ull low side
@mujahed1969 Is that bike registering kilometers per hour or miles per hour? Also do you still have it? And if so how much do you want for it? I just sold my cbr1000 like an idiot and now i want another one.
you guys are fucking stupid thats how yall dont know nothing about motorcycle this is a fucking euro version kilometers assholes no honda bikes go 275
I think its good to have ABS if you drive on the wet or slippery, but that makes the bike 11kg heavier (more than 24-lbs). The new CBR gained most of its power from its light weight, the ABS makes the bike as heavy as the other competitors.
I'll stay with my non-ABS one, besides, I live where the rain is rare thing.
But you're right my friend, the new Honda is freaking awesome.
mujahed there is misunderstanding i aked how much it cost me if i want to buy like this bike in gulf countries ... and cobraman281SVT asked me in which countries ..i said UAE..
I'm over 40, and I have a 185hp lightened GSX-R 1000 with about another 30 horsepower than a new CBR. And I pin the throttle every chance I get, age isn't an issue. :)
I am sure your personal experience is reliability versus all the professionals out there who choose CBR1000RR the best liter bike of the year, both years 08 & 09 I should say.
299? wow i have an 08 rr 1000. love Honda bikes. question, do the Honda rr 1000 come with a rev limiter? im researching and cant find any info at this point. and i haven't open up my bike at high speeds yet. i know bikes in europe dont come with it.
Both American and European fire-blades are limited at 13,000 rpm. Usually bikes are limited at the redline, some of them can be opened up to beyond the rev-limiter, but Honda is not easy to crack open, only HRC products can crack it. I have another fire-blade (2005 Repsol) with full HRC super-bike set up, the stock limiter was 11650 and now its 13750.
But its pointless to open the rev-limiter with just stock set up because the power drops slightly before the redline and drops more beyond that.
You are right... PC ignition module does open few hundreds but not for FIREBLADE. Only HRC can do that.
There is a euro-company that claims they can open the rev limiter an extra 1000rpm even for HONDA, its called RAPIDBIKE, but I cannot confirm it because I haven't tried it yet.
Bottom line , No Bike with stock engine can dream of getting 200mph (324km/h) , Including the latest Busa nor the zx14, Even if it has full exhaust system with air filter and PC or even the mighty Bazzaz, no one can reach that speed, no one
k9 gsxr1000 pulled redline in sixth gear at a gps verified 198mph with just a TRE that only de-restricts it. Everything else stock including the exhaust. The new busa does 186 in fourth gear. Only reason it cant hit 200 is because of the limiter. lets not forget the 99 busas that did 200 stock before the 186mph cap.
every stock liter-bike today revs at 6th gear which means when you de-restrict it, it will give you little more in term of engine power. One more point, to push your bike from zero to 20mph might requires 2hp, from 20 to 40 say 5hp from 160 to 180 will be 50hp, those are not real numbers of course but my point is speed is an exponential function and you are limited with torque range that you can reach because torque is a function of engine displacement, you can see this from your example
99 Busa had 156hp and Gixxer 180+, but the Busa is reaching higher speed because the engine is larger in terms of displacements and we all know the higher the gear position the lower the torque (1st higher than 6th) That means you need a lot of added power to get the 6th gear moving... You know 04-05 R1 hit the max speed at 12750rpm but it keeps going to 14000rpm without adding one extra mile to the speedometer.
My friend... All we are talking about and perhaps hoping to achieve is breaking through the powerful wind, so if you want to reach 198 mph (without turbo or equivalent) improve the following.... Aerodynamics + Spung weight reduction and play with gearings and the sprockets.
BTW... TRE is a great add on, but you need to de-restrict the air with full system and air-filter
The test was done in dallas (my hometown). And only the 08 1000rr pulls redline at 180mph, 2009 gsxr, puls 186 near the top of fifth as done the 08 zx10r (personal experience) even my k6 1000 with just a full exhaust, pc3 and air filter pulled a 190 on the vbox. The 2009 bikes from suzuki and kawasaki are fast. They have more than enough power to pull redline in sixth (motorcycleusa superbike smackdown track, 2009)
You see... when you add exhaust, air filter and a good map, you are actually not adding power, you are unleashing hidden power that your bike already has. Also, you can't just acknowledge Aerodynamics without mentioning TORQUE because for us (bikes riders) we can't improve aerodynamics with aftermarket stuff, so we turn our heads to torque improvement to push higher speed.
The busa reached higher speed because of better aerodynamics. the k9 gsxr1000 though has a lower drag coefficient than the 99 busa. 0.49 for the k9 vs 0.561 for the 99 busa. So not only does the 2009 gsxr1000 make more power, it weighs 100lbs less and has better aerodynamics. the test I mentioned was done at an airstrip in the dallas area and the tre-k9 actually beat the 09 busa in all speed categories and went on to record the highest top speed for a stock motorcycle, easily beating the mv312.
How freakin Ironic, one of my riding friends just called me while I was typing this post, and told me "Fuck Busas all the way", he just got white K9 (sexy as hell) and installed full racing Akra and BMC-racing and PC-V... he was saying that because last night he went to race 09 busa(100% stock) and he manage to beat him all the way to top speed. I told him I am not a bet surprised because all of the liter bike of today can beat stock busa, but with TRE chip the busa is faster than all of them
Ohh I am sorry I thought that stands for Lustin yr Sista on the Roof motha fucka... we are talking about stock engines you POS.... LSR on a dry lake for stock bike was done by a white lady and she did 195mph on 08 CBR.
You see the problem was throwing a abbreviation LSR without breaking it down , I guess some Yankees still expect the world should understand their arsed mouth. I guess I am doing a good job bitch slappin ya considering English is my 4th language, BITCH.
I will say it again. Google LSR (L.and S.peed R.ecords) events right now. I'll wait. -OK NOW-
Go back to the forum we are both a member of and do a search for user dsabat. He recently went 245mph at Loring on his 998cc 10R.
You are as dumb as a bag of windshield wipers.
The only people who are going to believe your nonsense are the uninformed. It also appears you are carrying on conversations in your head or something...PVX4? LSR isn't made up my friend. EDUCATE YOURSELF.
No... PVX4 is meaningless abbreviation that I made up just to mess up with the smart ass punk head who insist on 220+ miles speed.
You shit-head punks, you talk like you have anything beyond tricycles mofos. Why don't you sit back and learn something instead of showing off other guy's penis you little sperm. You are jealous because non of you ever had the chance to hit top speed on your moms wagon. This post is for the SEB+ sisters. Post some freaking videos of your moms wagon doing any speed.
Ohh...so you meant something OTHER than what you said right? Ever hear the saying: "MEAN what you SAY and SAY what you MEAN"? It's like talking to a woman with you.
Of course how silly of me to think that you actually meant what you said...dude you are a goofball. I don't know whether to laugh at you or just try to educate you.
You said: "...no 1000cc bike can reach 220mph..."
This is verbatim what you typed. You are WRONG. class dismissed.
Mujahed is right.I have one 09 CBR.When I was first trip i say myself today not try to top speed but this machine is unbeliaveble :)).i cant take my hand first day i saw 299 km/h on screen and bike is keep on going.Finaly best machine. But i dont like burn oil.If is true my service said to me clutch system was changed in Honda but bike is still burn oil.Mujahid are you sure only clutch changed ? please can you give me a information.May be can changed oil ring ?? Thanks for your help ...
im trying for 200 at the Texas mile and It is going to be allot of work to get my bike to the correct weight and power to do it. unless you have around 400 hp you are not going 220mph.
I just bought this bike, and I was wondering, is it electronically limited to 299 km/h? It seems that every '08 CBR 1000 top speed vid goes to 299 exactly. Not that top speed matters that much to me, but I was just curious.
299 km/h is the digital limit on the LCD, but the bike goes on speeding beyond that. A friend of mine from Lebanon owns a similar bike, he tested the bikes(100% stock) versus GPS speed and he got I think 304 or 305 km/h. Also, a famous female rider in the states hold land speed record for Liter-bike category and I think she made 195 or 196 mph which is equivalent to 314.4 km/h
def not 200. i got an 06 1000rr and the dyno says 170. i went up to teeth in the rear and still even without that maybe 181. sorry, 200 isnt gonna happen unless you have a very highly moded bike and change your sprokets.
i ride a 2007 cbr 1000rr, not stock, it has a power commander and jardine CF exhaust.. the digital HUD can be set to either display KM/H or MP/H.. this is still a very fast run, but this bike like mine, top out around 220 mp/h.. but it takes massive balls like boulders to get there =P
I disagree... no 1000cc bike can reach 220 mph. I have 2 fireblades, 2008 & 2005. I modified the 2005 one with full HRC upgrade including 13.8:1 comp.ratio and SBK cams and HRC-ECU, I also installed multistage lockup clutch and Bazzaz self-tuning unit and translogic intelli-shifter... All together, the bike makes 205hp at the crank and it revs at 13500rpm, all of that and still I wouldn't dream of reaching 200mph, let alone 220mph that you're claiming. I know you just assumed this number.
You can argue with me all day long and swear up and down that your bike reached 220 mph
but anyone who knows a thing or to about bikes knows you are either lying or mistaken. There is no way a liter bike with only a fuel management system and a exhaust system can reach 200+ mph
rock on man. Crashed my 08 CBR600RR. Now I'm raking up some mad cash to by an 08 CBR 1000rr cash. Luckily I kept my leg if not I would have been screwed.

@igotyoubeat
But you're right my friend, the new Honda is freaking awesome.

you should have stated UAE with the previous question, so one can understands clearly... but thats besides the point.
To answer your question on how much this will cost you, brand-new, about 50,000 AED (Emarati Derhams) or 4200 KD (Kuwaiti Dinar).

299? wow i have an 08 rr 1000. love Honda bikes. question, do the Honda rr 1000 come with a rev limiter? im researching and cant find any info at this point. and i haven't open up my bike at high speeds yet. i know bikes in europe dont come with it.
HBLADE08 2 years ago
Both American and European fire-blades are limited at 13,000 rpm. Usually bikes are limited at the redline, some of them can be opened up to beyond the rev-limiter, but Honda is not easy to crack open, only HRC products can crack it. I have another fire-blade (2005 Repsol) with full HRC super-bike set up, the stock limiter was 11650 and now its 13750.
But its pointless to open the rev-limiter with just stock set up because the power drops slightly before the redline and drops more beyond that.
mujahed1969 2 years ago
go to google and find the power commander website. they have a ignition retard something for the cbr1000rr 08 and other years.
CiFA0000 2 years ago
You are right... PC ignition module does open few hundreds but not for FIREBLADE. Only HRC can do that.
There is a euro-company that claims they can open the rev limiter an extra 1000rpm even for HONDA, its called RAPIDBIKE, but I cannot confirm it because I haven't tried it yet.
mujahed1969 2 years ago
Sorry, I missed red your post.... I think you're talking about Power commander IRC, also Zbomb from Bazzaz performance.

LSR on a motorcycle is around 300 mph... :which is shit scary i wuddnt wann be on it... Dunno wt sort of engine tht had though
cowboyfrmh3ll 2 years ago
Bottom line , No Bike with stock engine can dream of getting 200mph (324km/h) , Including the latest Busa nor the zx14, Even if it has full exhaust system with air filter and PC or even the mighty Bazzaz, no one can reach that speed, no one
And sir... you are an Idiot
mujahed1969 2 years ago
turbos make it possible. 30 psi of shit in your pants..
danthemanzizzle 2 years ago
k9 gsxr1000 pulled redline in sixth gear at a gps verified 198mph with just a TRE that only de-restricts it. Everything else stock including the exhaust. The new busa does 186 in fourth gear. Only reason it cant hit 200 is because of the limiter. lets not forget the 99 busas that did 200 stock before the 186mph cap.
bigbad1000do7a 2 years ago
every stock liter-bike today revs at 6th gear which means when you de-restrict it, it will give you little more in term of engine power. One more point, to push your bike from zero to 20mph might requires 2hp, from 20 to 40 say 5hp from 160 to 180 will be 50hp, those are not real numbers of course but my point is speed is an exponential function and you are limited with torque range that you can reach because torque is a function of engine displacement, you can see this from your example
cont'd
mujahed1969 2 years ago
cont'd...
99 Busa had 156hp and Gixxer 180+, but the Busa is reaching higher speed because the engine is larger in terms of displacements and we all know the higher the gear position the lower the torque (1st higher than 6th) That means you need a lot of added power to get the 6th gear moving... You know 04-05 R1 hit the max speed at 12750rpm but it keeps going to 14000rpm without adding one extra mile to the speedometer.
mujahed1969 2 years ago
My friend... All we are talking about and perhaps hoping to achieve is breaking through the powerful wind, so if you want to reach 198 mph (without turbo or equivalent) improve the following.... Aerodynamics + Spung weight reduction and play with gearings and the sprockets.
BTW... TRE is a great add on, but you need to de-restrict the air with full system and air-filter
mujahed1969 2 years ago
The test was done in dallas (my hometown). And only the 08 1000rr pulls redline at 180mph, 2009 gsxr, puls 186 near the top of fifth as done the 08 zx10r (personal experience) even my k6 1000 with just a full exhaust, pc3 and air filter pulled a 190 on the vbox. The 2009 bikes from suzuki and kawasaki are fast. They have more than enough power to pull redline in sixth (motorcycleusa superbike smackdown track, 2009)
bigbad1000do7a 2 years ago
You see... when you add exhaust, air filter and a good map, you are actually not adding power, you are unleashing hidden power that your bike already has. Also, you can't just acknowledge Aerodynamics without mentioning TORQUE because for us (bikes riders) we can't improve aerodynamics with aftermarket stuff, so we turn our heads to torque improvement to push higher speed.
mujahed1969 2 years ago
The busa reached higher speed because of better aerodynamics. the k9 gsxr1000 though has a lower drag coefficient than the 99 busa. 0.49 for the k9 vs 0.561 for the 99 busa. So not only does the 2009 gsxr1000 make more power, it weighs 100lbs less and has better aerodynamics. the test I mentioned was done at an airstrip in the dallas area and the tre-k9 actually beat the 09 busa in all speed categories and went on to record the highest top speed for a stock motorcycle, easily beating the mv312.
bigbad1000do7a 2 years ago
How freakin Ironic, one of my riding friends just called me while I was typing this post, and told me "Fuck Busas all the way", he just got white K9 (sexy as hell) and installed full racing Akra and BMC-racing and PC-V... he was saying that because last night he went to race 09 busa(100% stock) and he manage to beat him all the way to top speed. I told him I am not a bet surprised because all of the liter bike of today can beat stock busa, but with TRE chip the busa is faster than all of them
mujahed1969 2 years ago
Ohh I am sorry I thought that stands for Lustin yr Sista on the Roof motha fucka... we are talking about stock engines you POS.... LSR on a dry lake for stock bike was done by a white lady and she did 195mph on 08 CBR.

I just bought this bike, and I was wondering, is it electronically limited to 299 km/h? It seems that every '08 CBR 1000 top speed vid goes to 299 exactly. Not that top speed matters that much to me, but I was just curious.
outkasst88 2 years ago
299 km/h is the digital limit on the LCD, but the bike goes on speeding beyond that. A friend of mine from Lebanon owns a similar bike, he tested the bikes(100% stock) versus GPS speed and he got I think 304 or 305 km/h. Also, a famous female rider in the states hold land speed record for Liter-bike category and I think she made 195 or 196 mph which is equivalent to 314.4 km/h
mujahed1969 2 years ago
def not 200. i got an 06 1000rr and the dyno says 170. i went up to teeth in the rear and still even without that maybe 181. sorry, 200 isnt gonna happen unless you have a very highly moded bike and change your sprokets.
groves750 2 years ago
i ride a 2007 cbr 1000rr, not stock, it has a power commander and jardine CF exhaust.. the digital HUD can be set to either display KM/H or MP/H.. this is still a very fast run, but this bike like mine, top out around 220 mp/h.. but it takes massive balls like boulders to get there =P
dogsnatch 2 years ago
I disagree... no 1000cc bike can reach 220 mph. I have 2 fireblades, 2008 & 2005. I modified the 2005 one with full HRC upgrade including 13.8:1 comp.ratio and SBK cams and HRC-ECU, I also installed multistage lockup clutch and Bazzaz self-tuning unit and translogic intelli-shifter... All together, the bike makes 205hp at the crank and it revs at 13500rpm, all of that and still I wouldn't dream of reaching 200mph, let alone 220mph that you're claiming. I know you just assumed this number.
mujahed1969 2 years ago
No disrespect, but 220 mph isn't realistic
You can argue with me all day long and swear up and down that your bike reached 220 mph
but anyone who knows a thing or to about bikes knows you are either lying or mistaken. There is no way a liter bike with only a fuel management system and a exhaust system can reach 200+ mph
Let's try to keep youtube free of bull shit
