  • NOTE: In the first take, Marc said "LET'S GO!" instead of just "GO!".

  • Two instances of a no show flag. Then the clock doesn't start and the cameraman trips and falls. Nightmare indeed.

  • lolz I love how at 8:55 you can see one of the TV moniters on the right. Did Double Dare really start in 1986 (it says this segment was taped in September 1986 on the slate) or 1987?

  • @italianman1992 It started in 1986. The monitor was there so that the audience could see what was happening on stage.

  • i was born in this year

  • Boy that must've been a nightmare to clean up.

  • Boy, after that first day, I'm glad nothing on DD went wrong . . . went wrong . . . went wrong!

  • I want Robin's book. Is it on Amazon? LOL

  • I don't ever remember Dave getting messy, but I guess the clip @3:30 is proof!

  • aaahhhhh! Doing four takes of that one obstacle must have really been a nightmare. How long does it take for the stage crew to clean it up?

  • @Bandgeek2003 I know they had to RE-STUFF that bag over and over again

  • dOES ANYONE HAVE THAT EPISODE Of Double Dare HEY!

  • Has there ever been a time when NO OBSTACLES were completed during DD's 7 years?

  • The worst I've seen is one obstacle completed and that only happened once AFAIK.

  • A round of applause for our former announcer Harvey.

  • I never knew Harvey's Wild Oats was conquerable.

  • i remember that Reeboks no Socks episode! i saw it way back in i think 87 when it first aired. any time i see someone with no socks wearing sneakers i think...lol reeboks no socks! they were making fun of miami vice

  • The opening toss-up was to take your socks off and put your shoes back on.

  • The clown shoe golf was probably a non challenge on double dare.

  • It was almost always a toss-up.

  • 8:33

  • ive been wanting to see the nightmare outtakes for a while. thanks to a long line of random searches that had nothing to do with double dare, i found it!

  • Ugh two chocolate syrup obstacles in the same course?

Wow...great stuff; four takes of that first obstacle and the first two with no flag?

  • Michael did you put the flag in? No I thought you put it in Marc. It was a shame but extremely hilarious.

  • clwn shoe golf:harder than it looks.

  • This was the best show on Nick!! I miss the old NICK DAYS

  • Holy crap! I never saw that happen in an obstacle course run before! That was kind of funny watching them struggle but it must've sucked for the kids to start over so much. they've must've gotten pissed about that. Well, at least they kind of got far in the course...

  • You've never seen it because, if there's no flag, making it impossible by Standards and Practices point-of-view to complete the course, they must stop tape, and set up the entire course again with all eight flags. Then they edit it later.

  • Facinating insight!! =)

  • On Take 3 of the Nightmare Outtakes, they didn't notice, that the clock didn't start.

  • "This is my flashback...remember?" "No."

  • Is Marc immittating Bob Hope at 0:54-0:56?

  • Poor kids, doing that event four times.

  • OMG thank you!!I miss this show!! Nicks golden years!

  • Marc and Harvey Kinda reminds me of Penn and Teller.

  • Uh, they both talk?

  • har @ Dave sitting on the whoppee cushion

  • LOL in their first obstacle at the obstacle course the never put a flag in
