it's just one of those songs where the lyrics make sense but not everybody get it, he makes allusions about some moments, he isn't describing something perfectly, few words, only that, he gives your imagination the ground to run on it and than fly away ...

Okay, I know it is a cover version but still you can guess he put's his own interpretation and feelings in it. You may sing someone elses song, even make a differently styled cover of it, still you can relate to and put those feeling in.
