hi there ive been noticeing sometimes when i try to add a muzzle flash or something the whole video screen will go green and sometimes you cant even see the effect how do i fix this i use to just remove and then re add but its not really working anymore
@bowlchamp411 I need to know a little bit more about youre situation. Since you rfootage is not keying itself automatically, im assuming that you are not using the action essentials pack. What I am assuming you are sing is stock footage on a green backdrop. If that is the case, then you need to key the green out of the stock footage. I posted a comment earlier about keying (or chroma keying or greenscreening) stock footage. If you are using the actino essentials pack, then your footage should be
@bowlchamp411 *continued* pre keyed, meaning that when you drop it onto your timeline, the black automatically goes away. This pre keyed feature is only available in the action essentials pack, and not regular stock footage. But if you are using the AE2 pack then it may bee a glitch in the program or the video file.
@danielte18 Im not sure if I understand youre question. Are you asking if Action Essentials 2 work in Adobe Premiere? If so then yes, they do. They should also be pre keyed, meaning the black backround is automatically removed for you once you drop it onto your timeline. If the black is not automatically removed, then change the blending mode or the transfer mode (same thing, different names) to "screen" or "Add"
@BluScarFace You mean the blending mode? Screen and add will produce the same results. The additive blending mode produces a more vivid, bright appearance while the screen mode produces a lighter appearance. For the purpose of the muzzle flash, I like to use add, espicially due to the fact that action essentials 2 is pre-keyed. Since it is pre-keyd, setting the blending mode to screen won't do anything to the appearance of the muzzle flash, but setting it to add will.
@WhatsUpGringo The blue background needs something special called chroma keying. Chroma keying is the process used to key out or delete if you will a certain color. Its pretty much greenscreening. What you want to do is go to effects, keying, keylight 1.something (i think its 2 but im not 100% sure). Its difficult to go into an in depth explanation over tect, so search youtube for chroma key after effects or greenscreen after effects. Hope I was able to help!
do u need something like a photoshop program to over lay the the special FX? I am starting out with special FX and before i buy Action Essentials 2 i want everything so it will work. HELP ME PLZ!!!!
@ACreativeInstinct No, you do not need photoshop; Photoshop is for photo editing, but you will need some sort of composting program. An example of a composting program would be Adobe After Effects, which is probably the best program for visual effects. It will help me out if you can tell me what programs you are currently using.
Could please help me out and click on the large square to the right of the video (I cant say what it is due to policies), I greatly appreciate it and it really helps me bring you guys better tutorials! Thank you!!
