  • her voice makes me so happy

  • One of my favorite singers/actresses of all time! She lightens up a room and just makes you smile, and her voice is heavenly, brings back so many wonderful childhood memories of listening to her music, watching her movies and her tv show! Love you Doris!

  • This is as good as it gets. Thanks for sharing. Merry Christmas, everybody!

  • When you get to heaven...this is the angel that sings for you....

  • She has the voice of an angel, absolutely love this christmas song! <3

  • My uncle grew up with her, when she was known as Gladys Edna Winterbotham. He saw her at a reunion, and they took a couple of turns on the dance floor and had some conversation. He told us that she was as bright and bubbly and down-to-earth as when she was a school girl.

  • @JeffersonDinedAlone Never heard of this. Miss day was born Doris Mary Ann Von Kappelhoff April 3, 1924 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Thanks for the note. Charlie

  • @JeffersonDinedAlone `Never heard of that name Kappelhoff ,yes.Winterbotham?

  • so it is just me that watches dorisday not during christmas..okay

  • Merry Christmas to our Men and Women in the Armed Forces across the world, you do us proud!!!!

  • My - never change - all time #1 favorite Christmas song recording. I think it even beats the original for emotional perfection. Great arrangement & thankfully she doesn't mess with the lyric turning what was supposed to be a bittersweet, yearning song into sap like almost everyone else does when they change that one line before the last. It makes the song say what it was written to say. Thanks for posting. Hers & Nat's the 2 best Xmas albums ever in my opinion.

  • @Thunderbird7090 Agree so much. Merry Christmas and a Happy 2011.

  • I totally agree, i also hate hearing the cheered up version of hang a shing star, and the epitome of singing this song awfully goes to the one and only Christina Aguilera, (i can barely say the name) sorry if your a fan. what a crime to this beautiful song was her rendition, and what a shame we have to search through old nostalgic clips to hear this song performed beautifuly--the best version from today i think is Katie Melua version here on youtube, she sings it with such honesty and feeling.
