  • Randy Rhoads wouldn't have had a career without Eddie - FACT.

  • Green Hornet soundtrack! XD

  • ...almost as bad as western.

  • gonna have to sing this to my sweetheart ;)

  • Don't make Dave beg, not cool.

  • 2:04=immortality

  • This is such a great song

  • 1. Randy Rhoads

    2. Jimmy Page

    3. Eddie Van Halen

    4. Ritchie Blackmore

    5. Steve Howe

  • @HBK1337 Your outta your mind if you think Rhoads is better then Eddie.2 alright albums cant compare to what Eddies put down over the years.

  • @MrStrik9detroit 2 ALRIGHT albums??? those 2 albums mean more to me than eddie's entire career.

  • THESE ARE MOST OF THE BEST GUITARISTS IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER: Eddie Van Halen, Pete Townshend, Jimmy Page (played the guitar with a violin bow), Jimi Hendrix (played the guitar with his teeth), Carlos Santana, Eric Clapton, George Harrison (is kinda up there), Angus Young, Alex Lifeson (Completely underrated) and more that I can't think of at the moment...

  • @21stCenturyJRoyo22 Neal Schon

  • @NICKWAPPERER117 ................No, he's alright but journey made sissy rock, Van Halen made real bad ass shit!

  • @axlslash808z regardless, of his band he's a great guitar player....He's No EVH or Randy Rhoads, But he's great

  • @NICKWAPPERER117 Yeah he did an alright job. Not anything to brag but he had his momments.

  • derek trucks ,iommi, hendrix, malsteem, andre sergovia

  • @willmunny37 i was looking over ur list and kicking myself..how could i leave off Yngwie??!! I have sooo many vids on my channel!! I can watch him for hours...

  • In all these lists everyone is leaving out Yngwie...

  • @clem070605 That says something doesn't it.

  • Undisputed Top 5 Guitarists All Time:

    1) Eddie Van Halen

    2) Jimi Hendrix

    3) Jimmy Page

    4) Eric Clapton

    5) Angus Young

  • @Hunkola RANDY RHOADS

  • @Hunkola im pretty sure this list would be widely disputed. They are definitely among the best and for different reasons....Page for example was sloppy as hell I can name a ton of local guys I know who are/were better guitarists. But! I like his sloppiness and style and his writing along with Led Zeppelin being one of the best bands ever should def be a reason hes considered one of the best. But I wouldnt say these guys are undisputed...

  • @Hunkola Angus Young? Lol don't get me wrong AC/DC is one of my favorite bands but he's wayy too limited...

  • Eita musicão.

  • At their best in first 2 albums. Roth was great then.

  • Eddie Van Halen is so great because he goes well beyond technical virtuosity into melody, emotion, feel. ability to serve the song while still wailing his ass off, etc.

  • EDDIE IS #1 !!!

  • dummies, make a million bucks, gather up the dave and tour..

  • the main riff fits the solo so well, so good ;) i bet Slash was listening to this a lot cos i can hear a lot of Slash in this song

  • +1

But not necessarily the Van Halen we're going to see this tour.

  • rock music needs another Van Halen I

Led Zeppelin I, Van Halen I, GNR Appetitie for Destruction, and Pearl Jam's Ten all gave rock music a needed shot in the arm

  • @gannable to bad we wont see it again especially from GNR lol.

  • @hiawatha444 This album also helped to revive hard rock and heavy metal in 78-79.with bands like kiss, aerosmith, and black sabbath declining and the punk movement, this album gave hard rock and metal a much needed shot in the arm.

  • @Stargazer91666 Black Sabbath was not declining lol they never decline kiss and aerosmith definatly did though.

  • @Theblackmetalist I love sabbath, but 1978-79 was bad uncertain times for them. firing ozzy in 1979 and not knowing what the future was going to hold.thank god they ended up getting dio in 1980 who gave them a huge kick in the pants when they needed it and also they released heaven and hell and mob rules, 2 of my favorite all time records

  • @Stargazer91666 Ozzy & Dio were the best singers Sabbath had Ian Gillan was okay but fuck love that Sabbath are back for a new album.

  • Don't forget Steve Vai.

  • Brian Setzer

  • Eddie and Brian are exceptions beyond human guitarists

  • @hiawatha444 But still, the Funk lives...

    I'M OLD GREEEEEEEEEEGG

  • This song made me go crazy the first time i heard it, and it still does!

  • @xUndisputedAttitude oh really is that, why you stupid mainstream hipsters listen to the king of Butt Sex, Justin Bieber himself??

  • The album that changed rock music forever. All there was were copycats after this record. But......It was a copy that led to some fantastic bands/players and music afterwards. Just like Hendirx.....Van Halen did their job, and they did it well.

  • i remember this was my first album

  • @melinaloveyouto Also Eddie's first :P

  • Bands should learn from this band...attitude counts!

  • The third one is Valerie Burtenelli...

  • Thumbs up if you think it's kick ass that this song was in the Green Hornet

  • 444 likes and 4 dislikes.. Must be a sign

  • Best guitar solo Eddie ever did.

  • @cr03971 I agree, this is my favorite VH album by far

  • eddie is one of the best 5 guitarist ever

  • @bethanykt who are the other four? page, hendrix, stevie ray vaughan, and eric clapton would be on my list.

  • @bethanykt DIME BAG DARRELL

  • @bethanykt of the best we can include Eddie of course, Satriani, Santana, Michael Angelo Balto, Randy Rhoades,Steve Morse, Ritchie Blackmore.., f@#kin damn kick ass ...just sayin..

  • @kazsocks iommi

  • @kazsocks lets not forget george lynch n jake e lee

  • @bethanykt Eddie is and will always be the best.

  • @bethanykt

    My personal list

    1. Michael Schenker

    2. Warren DeMartini

    3. Ronnie Montrose

    4. Eddie Van Halen

    5. Tony Iommi

  • @ufofan1980 I think these are the best:

    1. Jimi Hendrix

    2. Eddie Van Halen

    3. Angus Young

    4. Slash

    5. Eddie Clapton

  • @klaikavoika Eric clapton not eddie clapton....

  • @RyanMoskow15 yes, sorry =)

  • @RyanMoskow15 hahahaha i laugh my ass off yeah splash and not slash or barry more and not gary moore

  • @klaikavoika For me it's... 1. Eddie Van Halen 2. Randy Rhoads 3. Jimi Hendrix 4. Tommy Shaw (styx) 5. Slash 6. Tom Morello 7. Angus Young 8. Steve Vai 9. Rich Williams (Kansas [the guy with the eyepatch]) 10.Peter Frampton
  • @fraroc good list =)

  • @fraroc I think you forgot Jimmy Page! You can definitely fit him in ahead of Tommy Shaw.

  • @fraroc Good list. Won't dispute it. I might throw in Satriani and Steve Howe.

  • @fraroc Very good list but I would add Joe Satriani and Robin Trower.

  • The main band had more Marshall amps and cabs than Judas Priest and they were taking the piss out of our gear but we blew them apart opening with "Armed and Ready" by MSG and doing VH and Lizzy stuff, Happy days!!

  • rocking the house

  • I Saw them Last night at our county Fair!

  • VH lost a key element by kickin Mike A out..his vocals were 1/4 of the sound, this song is a perfect example..never the classic VH sound without him

  • @muvitup1 ---- Yeah I agree......but this song has Dave's attitude all over it

  • @muvitup1 I have to agree dude Mike gave the harmonies what they were. I played this in a great 4 piece in a bar in 1984 when I was 18. We had a brilliant drummer who was so John Bonham, sadly committed suicide in 1988 after splittin with his GF aged 22. I looked about as cool as a hot shit but was rocking with a strat and a Les Paul through a Fender Twin with a Tube Screamer an Ibanez Chorus and Echoplex and a Waw waw. The bass player had a Kramer bass and a Peavey Head and a borrowed cab

  • @M13FKU A buddy of mine used a Fender Twin with a Box of Rock pedal (simulates the crunch of a Marshall Plexi) in his VH tribute band and he got the best "brown sound" I've ever heard. He was using an ash Strat with a Duncan "78/EVH" in it... so that kinda helped.

  • david lee roth & sammy hagar are both fucking awesome singers. it's bullshit that wolfgang replaced michael anthony

  • @DoorsFanatic95 i know bro i have been saying that for years micheal had great back up vocals and chould play a mean bass and the only reason wolfgang is in the band is cause of his dad and btw wolfgang is a fat bastard and sucks on bass and needs to drop about 200 pounds 70's vanhalen FTW!

  • Admit it guys Sammy Haggar isn't that bad. hes a good singer.. but he cannot match up to the awesomeness of VAN HALEN

  • propably van halen was to drunk and click wrong

  • @ProudAtheist90 i can agree with u on tht one!

  • ENOUGH RIPPIN ON HAGAR HE IS JUST AS AWESOME AS DLR!!!

    HAVE A NICE DAY!

  • @MrSheed92 Nah DLR is still better.

  • @MrSheed92 nah bro

  • @MrSheed92 Eh, not really, lol. But it's cool man, we all got our own opinions.

  • These guys always had great harmony (and completely rocked totally stupid too).

  • I might tick off alot of 80's fans with this but this band would be even greater if they did a song with Avenged Sevenfold

  • @hiawatha444 we need an album to kill all the retard pop singers like justin biber and we need to defeat RAP too.

  • Perfectly encapsulates what the real VH was all about.

  • The 3 dislikes were people who love pointing it out for thumbs ups.

  • the 3 dislikes must be micheal anthony, valerie van halen, and sammy hagar

  • The BEST !

  • Goodbye Michael Anthony this is the kind of stuff we'll never hear again from Van Halen. It just wont be the same. :(

  • seriously thought when i borrowed this album from my dad that it was a greatest hits album

Eruption, Ice Cream Man, You Really Got Me, why wouldnt you think it was

  • Sorry, as this song proves even with Dave without Mikes vocals..IT AIN'T VANH..!

  • Comment removed

  • I don't care if it's Roth or Hagar singing...if Eddie is on guitar...im happy.

  • Comment removed

  • Sammy Hagar created 3 accounts to dislike this.

  • I fucking love this song, It makes me jump outta my seat, lip sync while doing this best air guitar solo ever!@#!@#!@#!@ FUCKING LOVE YOU VAN HALEN

  • This was in "The Green Hornet!"

  • ah, the classic "your mom" joke, my compliments sir

  • eddie van halen and david lee roth made this band like i know the others were good but i love the connection they have in there music videos lol

  • @xDONx22951 ---- Eddie and Dave are the REAL heart and soul of Van Halen.......dont let the Sammy Hagar assholes tell you any different

  • Haha Theburn you got that right. Dont take it personal but I faded away from this band when they went to sammy. Im not a fan of him or his body of work. I thought it was a terrible decision to go with the red hot rocker.

  • @lvchopper ---- That's because Sammy is a Red Rockin' Douchebag......the real heart and soul in Van Halen is Eddie and Dave.......those two guys push each other to be the best.......just like Jagger & Richards, Page & Plant, or Tyler & Perry

  • You know, this just might be my favorite VH song of the Roth era. And probably of all time. The riff is just so thick and heavy, and yet so careless in its execution, which is what makes Van Halen so great.

  • I wonder if this guy likes Van Halen... =)

  • BEST SONG EVER!!!!!!

  • One of Eddie's better solos.

  • 3 dislikes=3 dumb asses who don't get no love at night

  • This song is all about summer sex.....

  • This is all today's youth should be allowed to listen to. Today's youth are too soft. This is real music. Back from when men were men and sheep were scared.

  • @juhuhuhuhuh no sir, u suck

  • @juhuhuhuhuh Go suck your mom's dick bitch

  • @juhuhuhuhuh I'm guessing you grew up around some friends or family who were big VH fans all the whille you didn't care for them and had to listen to them unwillingly quite often hence making their music repulsive to you, I don't care if you hate Van Halen, I mean I love em big time. Just curious, have a nice day!

  • @juhuhuhuhuh Then why the fuck are you searching it, you pompous wanker.

  • @juhuhuhuhuh <- For all your Trolling. (Good Music $10,- Bad Music $2,50) This was an expensive job.

  • @juhuhuhuhuh You better not get caught saying that by me in person...

  • @juhuhuhuhuh LOL And you can do better right? HAHA Fucking die kid. You do realize if there wasnt van halen you wouldnt have your retarded music today? Yea your fucking welcome. little brat

  • @juhuhuhuhuh Shut up Gabe...

  • This makes me want to streak doing "weird faces" and singing and playing the song, this makes me happy.

  • This song was in 'The Green Hornet: The Movie', which is where I first heard this song for the first time in a long time.; Nice.: :)

Any other movies this song was in?

  • that one dislike must have been Sammy Hagar

  • @Theburn77 The second one is Wolfgang

  • @cford1992 The third will be Gary Cherone.

  • @cford1992 And third one Cherone

  • @Theburn77 don't be pathetic with your lame comment that doesn't make any sense

  • @Theburn77 Or your mom because Dave came too quickly.

  • @Theburn77 . "That one dislike must have been Sammy Hagar". ------ LOL! That made me laugh out loud. :)

  • @April4th1984 It feels good to be the most liked comment, lol

  • @Theburn77 - And Michael Anthony lol jk!

  • @Theburn77 I fuckin hate Fagar

  • @Theburn77 Sammy pressed the dislike button three times!

  • @tina0lala

    Just 3 times? LOL

  • @jerico641 well, there are 3 dislikes on this video so...

  • @Theburn77 Was there a .......dislike?

  • i feel a disturbance in the like bar... oh no, theres 1 DISLIKE!

  • DONT WORRY IF YOU DID TAKE IT TOO FAR, SHE PROBALBY DIDNT CARE!... WAIT DID HE SAY WE BETTER USE IT BEFORE IT GETS TOO OLD???? ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • That one dislike is by a dumbass.

  • man, i love how this dude sings! just listen to that vibrato when he says "aaaaahhhhh-waaawawawawa"

  • The car is a 67 Impala.... Well, you know what i'm talking about... XD

  • @crapstorm9000 OH FUCK YEAH, THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT!!!!!!!

  • @crapstorm9000 With Michael Anthony? Because it's not the original without him

  • this song is amazing and im gonna do a chick to it in the back of my car

  • @Sedivy33 and take it a little too far!!!

  • the 1 person who disliked this video should get one of dave's karate kicks to the face. Maybe that will knock some common sense into the douchbag

  • is it wrong that this gave me a boner?

  • @aleksandarfriscic Don`t worry. It`s alright.

  • @aleksandarfriscic nope, it gave me one too

  • Singer in my gig - Dave fab

Me - with my Fender Strat and Fender twin Reverb in 1984 still here

Bass - John D - the best bass bass guitarist in NE

Drums - Ian - John Bohnham - Took his life in 1988 Why!!!

  • Diamond Lee Roth = GREATEST FRONTMAN EVER

Eddie Van Halen = MAKES MY EARS CUM A QUART

Sammy Hagar = SLURPS ON SMELLY NIGGER COCK

  • @Hunkola haha i wish i could like this twice

  • why is there even 1 dislike???? the title says exactly what the video is, same with the description...if you didnt want to watch this video then why did you? i wish you could see the names of people who dislike and like videos. some people would get so much shit lol.

  • 1 person didn't feel their boyfriend or girlfriend's love after they played this....

  • Timberlake didn't bring sexy back. It was Van Halen.

  • awesome

  • good riff i want to learn it

  • GROOOOVEYYY!!!! God bless the 70´s & 80´s!!!

  • I told the fellows at the the bar just how fine you are

  • i can't resist singing to this one lol

  • bouncing quarters for choose who drinks or slam it yourdelf, remember you were there, puking out back comming back in and doing it again. those were the days pitch in 2bucks for a 1/4 barrel. crankin Van Halen

  • This is the easiest way to sum up Van Halen:

David Lee Roth = COOLEST ROCK GOD EVER

Sammy Hagar = ASS CLOWN WROTE DUMB LYRICS

Gary Cherone = WHO DA FUCK IS THAT?

Well there it is ---- 35 yrs. of VH in one simple paragraph!

  • @Hunkola Gary Cherone should have never left Extreme, even the great EVH is hard to compare against the genius of Nuno Bettencourt; although when u get to 'that' end of guitarists u just cant compare. DLR is the man though i can agree on that, but GC is also one of my fav singers, just a shame VH had sorta faded by then...

  • How come this insn't more famous ?!?

  • @MoribondAlceste how come, indeed.

  • THIS SONG KICKS ASS

  • i used to combine over 4 amps together just to get his sound... i miss those days

  • yeah this riff rocks!!

  • Muscle Car all The WAY !!
