Jack of Spades is a much more universal answer, because, for example, my native language isn't English, so I would never think of your answer. On the other hand, mathematics are universal :)

I thought it would be the Jack of spades because it was:

5 of clubs

6 = 5+[1]of hearts

8= 6+[2] 0f diamonds

So 8+[3]=11 (aka Jack) of spades (which was the only symbol that was missing.)

The Jack has a numerical value of 10 in all the card games that I can think of. The only card with a value of 11 is the ace in the game of blackjack, so your reasoning was off in that sense.
