  • Has to be Epiphone's best Guitar!

    For 350$!

  • Also. The 2010 Epiphone G400. Standard 62 Sg is still conciderd the best standard Sg out there today by professional guitarist. And the Epiphone limited edition 50th anniversary 1961 Sg reissues are preferd over the Gibson models by vintage guitar collectors. Any Epiphone guitar from 2008 to present I wouldn't swapped out anything.

  • That's the problem with inexperienced guitarist they always have to change the pickups. Well here's what you changed. Alnico V Magnets double Vacumed Waxed wound with enamel wireing adjustable stews and hand solderd. The pots are full 1 inch 500k pots. This is in the 2010 model. G400. Standard 62 Sg. So why would you even concider swapping out the pickups and pots.

  • I have this in Cherry red. I found that the rhythm pickup was really muddy, so I changed all the pickups and pot's right now I have 500K output large pot's and an Angus Young signature pickup in the treble, and a 57' classic in the rhythm sounds excellent I payed $350 for the guitar and another $300 on the upgrades as well as getting it installed. Sounds better then my friends Gibson SG although I will say his looks better, Mine sounds better.

  • Where u buy this guitar and price

  • @pzmiguel the price is 270 quid

  • I have the exact same guitar, it is amazing

  • Iron man and smoke on the water rock on

  • great guitar! SABBATH FOREVER

  • Wow, this guitar is very nice. I wish Gibson USA will make a SG special in that color!

  • wow... es very cheap in usa..in mexico is very expensive :O $8000... more of 800 dollar

  • @MrVoLkOvA damn people like me forget how fortunate I am sometimes

  • @MrVoLkOvA Your sure your not talking about a gibson lol?

  • @MrVoLkOvA im getting one for £270

  • @MrVoLkOvA Lie, i found it on mercadolibre on 4500 pesos

  • price? $

  • @MrVoLkOvA could find one for 300

  • Did you use effects, distortion, or just the pickups?

  • @Furufifo I used a boss ds1 distortion pedal I believe for the classic rock, clean was straight thru the amp

  • have the same exact guitar and i love it but if i am going to change the pickups should i go with emg actives or gibson burstbuckers?

  • @manbearpig937 depends on what type of music you play, also try them out yourself. Every musician has a little different opinion than others

  • @SquierGuy2 well im into 90s, alternative, classic, and hard rock and i dont have the money to test both of them out so what would you suggest?

  • @manbearpig937 go to a guitar center? and okay emg's might be too metalish

  • @SquierGuy2 alright thanks, i am into some metal like slayer but ive played scheters and stuff with emgs and i think your right that is just too heavy

  • If anyone wants one HIT ME UP

  • @rippinonap1 Underground guitar shop.........I like it

  • @SquierGuy2 I gotta get my cash what can I say. lol I am only asking $425ish

  • is the neck polished really nicely like on most fender americans they have like a gloss to them? i love when the neck is like that

  • how do you think seymour duncans would be in this? and does it play well?

  • @huggy2481 I've seen people put those on strats, but never an SG. Try it out for yourself, and see what pickups you like more. And yes, the fretboard was a litle dry when I got it. But that was the only problem I had playing wise!

  • @SquierGuy2 thanks! i have seymours on my epi les paul custom and they sound amazing! thats why i wanted to try that on an sg

  • Hey man, i have the same guitar, but in natural burst. a great guitar ...

but i wanted to ask if you know which kind of strings are onthe guitar, when you bought it - basically how "thick" the strings from epiphone are

  • @JdG1376 Sorry for the late response. I didnt play with the strings given, I automatically switch the strings out for ernie ball power slinkys. Sorry

  • Yo, cool playing dude. Whats the difference between the Epiphone Limited Edition 1966 G-400 Electric Guitar and the Epiphone G-400? Thanks and rock on.

  • @frogon233

basically the difference is the custom paintjob and the wider pickguard, which looks like an gibson sg standard,

another difference are the humbuckers i think, but i'm not 100%-ly sure ...

  • @JdG1376 yeah that about sums it up

  • hi im getting a used one of these and was wondering if the pickups are good for Nu metal or punk metal stuff like Coal Chamber or korn or the misfits or even some black sabbath

  • @TheRealSonicYouth yeah for sabbath they work, but u might want to consider EMG's if you really want metal

  • @SquierGuy2 k b/c i saw the guys from coal chamber and mudvayne use humbuckers

  • i want this guitar soooo bad and i was wondering what pickups would sound good in it for a metal sound

  • @crakinskulls4321 swich them out with EMG pickups they're beastly

  • hey man, was wondering if the pickups in this would be good for hardcore/mathcore stuff (The Chariot, Heavyheavylowlow, Early Norma Jean, Converge) or should I shell out an extra 100 bucks for an emg 81?

  • @lolcatify I can get a killer metallica sound out of them, but if you want metal you CAN NOT go wrong with EMG's. Those things snarl!

  • you have probably answered these questions a bunch of times but...how is it when you put the strap on it, top heavy? also what amp and pedal are you using

  • @komobabo amp was a squier sp-100 10 watt crappy shit amp :)

    pedal was the digitech rp255

and yes a litttle top heavy but not too annoying!

  • @SquierGuy2

thank you ( I suspected it was an RP :) I use the RP90) but thaks for the info if I have any questions I'll ask you! jk thanks thou!

  • If you own this guitar, I'll tell you it's worth every penny. But PLEASE switch out the stock machine heads with locking ones. Grover tuners go out of tune with the slightest jar or bump. They suck dick. Pay the extra $70 for locking machine heads. It's worth it, believe me.

  • I like the silverburst better than the cherry red since the cherry is EVERYWHERE. Gets old after seeing it 4 zillion times.

  • i just ordered this exact guitar think it will be better by alot then my squire 20th aniversy strat

  • I'm definitely getting this guitar in Silverburst for pretty much the same reasons as you said. Lol, I own a cherry red SG Special, and the color is pretty much a cliche.

  • @SquierGuy2 this would be helpful if he asked about a gibson but he asked about two epiphones, please stick with the question no try to make him look away

  • @MrTheCircle jeeze sorry didn't know it would upset ya so much, and I fixed it thx

  • @SquierGuy2 nah you misunderstood how i meant that, i was just basicly saying that its best to stick on the question and read a few times before answering because ppl do get pissed off when they ask a question like this and get something off the wall. but i love your guitar man looks really nice, and im definately gonna sub to you because you seem pretty cool man. keep rocking

  • I apologize, you seem like a nice guy. But EWWWWWW!!!!!! WHY THE FUCK WOULD YOU EVER GET SILVERBURST!!!!!

  • @hendrix950 ha, funny you say that because a lot of people like the cherry red for SG's. The reason I got the silverburst is because it's original. I couldn't think of a guitarist that is famous for a silverburst SG.

  • @SquierGuy2 I like the Silverburst ;)

  • @hendrix950 I love silverburst, especially on strats

  • I just noticed how bad guitars sound when their new.

  • @SaysNapoleon I just noticed how much of an asshole you are

  • @SquierGuy2 I didn't mean for you to take that personally, It's just every guitar sounds shitty until their broken in. I didn't notice it when I first got my guitar, but that was my first electric, so I didn't notice it.

  • being a 66 reissue, does it have a big fat neck?

  • Would it be better to buy the regular Epiphone SG G-400 or the Epiphone G-400 1966 re issue to play rock?

  • @R4R45 here's the correct answer sorry about that last one I misunderstood it. The main difference of those two guitars is basically the looks.

  • @SquierGuy2 Ah thats good then! thanks!

  • @SquierGuy2 and the 1966 and a Alicno Plus in the bridge, (slight diference)

  • @SquierGuy2 Not really, the two guitars have similar features, but the g-400 (not the 1966) has jumbo frets and a half bat wing pickguard, the 1966 has has Alicno Plus Bridge and a Alicno Classic Neck, and has the full bat wing pickguard, and comes in 3 colors, Silverburst, Heritage Cherry, and Ebony. The g-400 only comes in Cherry and Ebony. That's the difference. (Plus the 1966 feels better than the g-400 in my opinion (tried both at guitarcenter.)

  • @SquierGuy2 Actually the difference is that G-400 (not the 1966) has Dual Alnico V humbuckers, Jumbo frets, a half bat-wing pickguard, and comes in only 2 colors (ebony and cherry), the 1966 reissue comes with a full bat-wing (making it look like a traditional Gibson SG standard) and has Alnico Classic Plus bridge humbucker and a Alnico Classic neck humbucker, and it comes in 3 colors (silverburst, ebony, and cherry), that's the difference.

  • hey i like your guitar.pretty cool and it sounds great!how much?

  • @fo0lishguy $350 regular, I got it with a chord for $300

  • G-400... Not g-40

  • @PeanutButterGtr yup look at title

  • @Aeroman1996 its a BASS practice amp :/

  • I just got the same guitar and my fretboard is rediculously dried out was yours when you got it?

  • y dont they make these in ebony! i would of got one then!!

  • @HavocProductions1943 Mmm...I think they do.

  • @mewnessbro nah thats just the standard g400

  • @HavocProductions1943 Ahhh, would you recommend this guitar?

  • @mewnessbro i wouldnt know, i only have he epi 310 which is an awsome guitar.

  • Comment removed

  • dude,i jus got this in blue ..its limited edition custom shop..gold hardware and all

    it does sound great..

  • No problem, guitar is my life and I try to share that experience with the rest of the world whenever I get the chance. It isn't something you do, it's something you feel.

  • Nice guitar and all, but you shouldn't hold you skills back. It is pretty obvious that you've hidden your potential. You don't always have to play a specific song, or some amazing lick you heard somewhere. Play what you feel, whatever the sounds your guitar makes you want to feel. Have fun when you play!

  • @I8furikuriXD thanks man I really thought about what you said, and its great advice

  • does it have alot of fret buzz? i don't know if i should get this one, or the epi goldtop 56.

  • I love that guitar, I also have an Epiphone SG. The guitar has balls, power, and it sounds great clean. Good shit bro!!!!! Check out a few of my guitar vids you'll hear mine. That was before I had and effects board or anything I was running a amp to a guitar and it still sounded great.

  • in my opinion it's the best demo of this guitar on youtube. i really like your tones.

  • @ToyMachinebruce wow thanks, I really didn't spend a lot of time on the tones. Very nice compliment, thanks!

  • That is a Very Nice Guitar dude!Expensive as hell

  • ha you listened when i told you you should post a video of your bew guitar, then i said you can't be squierguy anymore

  • now thats a sweet guitar .
