The sea temperature has cooled slightly as we are in a La Nina period, which has the effect of cooling the oceans, but, again, the overall trend is one of warming. Get your head out of the sand!

Temps peaked in 1998 and have been averaging lower ever since. Global warming isn't scientifically motivated its politically motivated and there for should be taken with a grain of salt.
This is common in politics nearly every decade somebody says the sky is falling and everybody jumps on the band wagon.
