@drinnify iOS is nothing like Android. iOS hasn't changed their UI since 1st gen iphone in 2007 - Android has had folders, pull down notifications, widgets, live backgrounds, active lockscreens and superb cloud backup way before iOS decided to play keep up ( and as usual declare it as "a whole new experience"). Meego looks to be the best of both worlds - open sourced, yet uniformly gorgeous. Can't wait.

Paying fee for the operator in the name of contract, when U already own a phone is shocking to me. And here comes the climax, with the Nokia N9, you don't have to pay fee of that kind to operators. It can be used with any operator unlike other mobiles. now, try to think before u write. And once again, don't say that Meego is a burning platform. Its the first time its in the market.

Some cool multitasking features on the Meego OS. Of course WP 7 has the added advantage of MS office integration, Xbox live etc but as a well designed smartphone which doesn't want to be all things to all people, this looks to be a damn good phone

Obviously, it won't work on Sprint or Verizon.

Alright, I prefer the Nokia phones, and the Swipe thing looks really cool.
But SGS2 proved that the dual-core processor doesn't actually reduce lag.
Search for vids in YouTube and you'll find plenty of cases where the SGS2 lags.
And the 8MP camera on the iPhone 5 has not been cancelled, but rumor has it that it might be the same kind of camera as on the iPhone 4.
I personally think I'mma stick with Nokia, even after the Symbian 3 fiasco.

@frankychad Hey why dont u get go and get admission in a mental hospital. Nokia's market share declined only because of Symbian, then why would they drop Meego for that. This comment itself shows that you are dump. And regarding the US market, what is the proof that u are having to show that Meego would not succeed in USA. Eventhough the WP7 is already used by some companies, then why didn't it get popular in US?Moreover, In Asia there are more people for Nokia's Meego. U shut up ur bloody mouth

@snowkid2009 In India, we can buy any mobile and use any GSM SIM card with it, regardless of the operator. Paying fee for the operator in the name of contract, when U already own a phone is shocking to me. And here comes the climax, with the Nokia N9, you don't have to pay fee of that kind to operators. It can be used with any operator unlike other mobiles. now, try to think before u write. And once again, don't say that Meego is a burning platform. Its the first time its in the market.

As a consumer, why would I even bother spending money with this device when its CEO clearly shows very little interest on it? Lol.

@chonaV dropping meego doesn't mean meego has no future support. In nokia connection elop announced that qt will lives on next billion s40 devices. and qt is an ecosystem. meego is qt. meego apps are made from qt.. so it has a great future.

@kelemori I didn't say that meego support will be dropped as well. Just its production. Elop was very clear that nokia is moving forward with wm, not meego. As for its future. No one can tell what will happen to it. But for now, it doesn't look like a bestseller to me.

Some cool multitasking features on the Meego OS. Of course WP 7 has the added advantage of MS office integration, Xbox live etc but as a well designed smartphone which doesn't want to be all things to all people, this looks to be a damn good phone

Second nice review, cause I didn't know about the availability button until now. Seems that you had some bad times with swiping in the screen with some laggings of the OS and apps but the rest looks amazing! :) I want MeeGo to improve and stay to replace Symbian!

This is what I have been telling some Nokia fanboys all this time, and finally Nokia got it right, the OS, the UI, the screen dimension, the specs, everything is perfect, finally Nokia has made a phone that I would crave for (ps, I'm so glad that they are throwing symbian away)

Exactly!!! Same as with nokia N900 Linux based (funny cos it´s like a Microsoft enemy).. I´m probably going to buy the new Nokia N9 it´s one of a kind, plus it´s filled up with lots of possibilities... I really like this new OS and UI.
