@supernewswe Desalination, removing salt and other minerals from water, is an extremely expensive and resource-consuming process. I guess the people of Brink don't have the means to perform it.

The sea is all salt water. The Ark has had no contact with the rest of the world for around 20 years, and is falling apart due to overpopulation and lack of maintenance. Any sort of desalination or water treatment facilities are most likely not in working order.

If the ice caps melted that would never flood the earth, ice retains its water and would stay in the spot it melted to. Take a geology class. Stupid Al Gore has no academic credentials and should not be listened to. Hes not a scientist of the earth he just has celebrity status for having a loud voice about something he never has had facts on. TAKE A GEOLOGY CLASS!!!!

@Zamudiokid The Northern ice sheet (not an ice cap) is mostly floating (at least the permanent part of it is). However, that giant ice cube down South sits on land. If it starts melting and slides off that land then it will raise sea levels.

@barinebold  ice retains its water though. Ice caps melt and freeze back again, which has been going on for 4.6 billion years. What will raise sea levels would be meteors that come to earth since they carry water. Humanity will never make the earth flood with water.

@Zamudiokid As the average temperature rises, the amount of ice that refreezes decreases and ice that hasn't been melted in 35 million years since the ice cap formed in the first place. We can't possibly flood the whole world with it but the ice cap is holding enough water to see some serious refugees fleeing for the hills.

@Zamudiokid I agree that it is improbable that the entire earth could flood, but the melting ice bergs will raise the sea level, flooding lowland areas, an example of this is bangladesh where flooding has become steadily worse.

Contrary to what you said, ice doesn't retain its water when melted, and when the ice caps melt the freshwater will dilute the gulf stream and that will alter the climate of most of the northern hemisphere.

lol, all the "water world" comments, like somehow that is relevant...Global flooding is a very real possibility of actually happening, so using it in a game that bases its research and tech (the Ark) on real world findings, isn't that far fetched.

borderlands looks nothing or like this ive just played the demo at gamescom its like a fasted paced version of battlefield bad company 2 accept with small maps and and a very big customization and if ur getting this because u can climb over shit then u might be disapointed because there isnt that many things to climb over
