I will put more on youtube soon about the development of channeling & focus of breath control for Kung Fu practice.
It is important to do your external conditioning with correct breathing method.
This Routine is the dominant skill which if successful will change the body to toughen up from the inside -outwards.The different breathing rythms and techniques of body alignment with breath massage to the vital organs is traditional kung fu
By taoist's 49 times repetition each exercise is necessary number to accelerate blood and qi moving together in specific part of body which is 'attacked' by each qigong exercise .
wow very interesting, its very rare to see a QiGong set like this. i saw a very similar set by an old man in BeiJing and it was this man who made me realise that there isn't just Wushu(modern) in the mainland i went back to ask if he would teach me but out refused such a shame. it kind of reminds me of Qigong mixed with fa jing fom Chen Shi Tai Ji Quan incerdible thank you sharing this very rare set what a treasure you have
This is our exercise for strength development, although we share the same name as Yi Jin Jing it is completly opposite to the softer commonly practiced form that is shown etc. Ours is completly martial for the development of shock power, grip strength, stamina and breath movement harmony. It is designed to strengthen from the inside to the out.
I was shown the 1st mvmnt & the differnt breath for each mvmnt, told to go practice it 49 times, then I could learn the 2nd mvmnt, told to go practice continually etc untill I could endure the completion of the form. Along the way of practice I felt my stamina with the harmony of different breath & mvmnt training increase, shock power in my punches, my grip in my clench, & my strength in my stance all increase with daily exercise. The number 49 is believed to be transending to an auspicious form.
this is great and original traditional practicing. great job hockchong108.
I think 49 times is by Taoist necessary number by each movement/exercise to move qi and blood together in some part of body related with each exercise.
the mvmnts are external, however it is the breath control which defines the exercise. Propper breathing is very important to achieve the longevity of power. Abdominal breathing is used to conserve energy. There are different breaths for each mvmnt- a lifting deep breath, a pursed slow breath, an accumulating short breath, a solid sinking breath etc..balanced with rythm & clearness of correct posture through concentration of technique.
