Lizzy on a run, summer 76 they bring out the album Jailbreak, nothing can touch this until November, same year, Johnny the Fox appears; stand out tracks for me: Romeo and the Lonely Girl from Jailbreak and Borderline from Johnny the Fox, I'd never thought of music as seasonal until these two outstanding albums
Ahhh Lizzy. The group that kindled my interest in all things heavy rock. This is one of the first songs of theirs I heard. Great song that shows Lizzy at their best in my opinion. Thnks for uploading.
Thanks,bro....yeah Thin Lizzy was always one of my favorites since I first heard them!! Can you guess what song I use to jam on when I came home on leave?Oh yea...The boys are back in town....party on !!
Thanks, thought it was something like that? Been there done that! Played drums for many years!! Thin Lizzy was just getting known when I was in high school, then when I went in the Marine Corps,I tried to follow them as much as I could!!Always will be one of my favorite bands!!!
@taturner60141 gotta love the corp ;) nuke some ass lol. it would be sweet to hear you play some drums man. also cool to hear. 'down low and dirty' best description I ever heard :D. stay safe brother
down low and dirty baby....down low and dirty...love it....always have!!! P.S What is Phil saying to Scott Gorham at about 3:15? Can't make it out on my computer even with the volume turned all the way up!!
Can you just imagine Roberston was good enough to addition as a drummer! And being able to play the guitar the way he did man you talk about just loaded with talent!
This was THEE moment when Thin Lizzy had officially become the greatest band in the world. The brainwashed of the world had the stones and the eagles and every other "money first" group that was forced upon them by corporate radio. Thin Lizzy was on a plane that cut through the board room mandates, and for those with ears, only they could hear the sound of greatness.
Goddamn it, this is great! What a Rock groove this track had - outstanding stuff.
Sometimes I forget how good this stuff was (is!) when today we're constantly saturated with the same old bloody sounds and formats put together by record companies - day in, day out.
Songs like this are what set Thin Lizzy apart from the rest. Unlike most rock bands (at the time) Thin Lizzy weren't afraid to try different genres of music, ballads, funk, hard rock, they did it all with a style all their own. Excellent video, don't think I saw it before. (Right now I am on a Thin Lizzy kick, it may go on for weeks or months, I'm just letting it run it's course until next time).
@originalpotatojunkie You hit the nail on the head dead on. I'm in the same boat with the listening kick. Sometimes I feel myopic, then I say "Fuck it, one more time!"
THIN LIZZY is veeeeeeeery underated!!! they deserves the same respect that Sabbath, Zeppelin, Purple, Creedence, GFR, anyway, in the classic/heavy rock genre!!!
THIN LIZZY ON ROCK N ROLL OF FAME NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!
its amazing how a rock band was allready talking about dj's and the the music they were playing obviously from an experience they had in the u.s, it make's even more sense to me why this is also a hip hop classic apart from some of the fattest drums at the intro that i could cut up for day's that sent me right into heaven much respect to Thin Lizzy thanks ol skool bx peace!

@samir3323 Phil Lynott was a song writing genius. Everybody associated with Thin Lizzy was killer but Phil Lynotts song writing was unique.
