He was becoming a hindrance to the band. His erratic behavior and drunkenness got in the way. It was a positive for both sides, I think, and if he can get his life together then he could do well. But it had to be done.

Ely has one of the best voices I've ever heard but he destroys it when he drinks. Dude needs to back off of the alcohol... I'd prefer it if he did it altogether, but at least for shows...
The band is awesome, but they totally use backing tracks on the vocals. especially on the high parts. no biggie though. but they do need to leave the wine on the tour bus
