Well ok the acting may not be 1st class but a brave effort none-the-less! I know how tricky video digital manipulation is like!! And for only a project you got nearly 52,000 views so thats pretty major in my book!! You have also probably helped sell a few records as a by-product of your efforts!!! I've listened ti it for years now and I have always visualized different plots, but all of them involve someone hurrying and an emergency scenario. That's why I'm not surprised by the video you made. Of course that it is very modest, but let me congratulate you because you made me feel that somthing happened, that something was going on and that it mattered.

And yes, the acting of that girl is not her best, but I'm sure that with more takes she could do it much better. And yes, there are big holes in the plot (like why she runs from a world-scale attack and why someone destroys the Earth from it being overpolluted) but the core of the video and the fact that you told the story taking us outside our planet are points enought to make this a very good work. I'm glad to see that this kind of music can make someone else, besides me, see embeded images.

This is of course quite subjective, like any interpretation of a musical piece.....for me, the story I imagined had a high point at this point. There is even an explosion in the music here and then the mood then changes and gets somewhat more mellow as we go out on the new voyage of discovery. So I am satisfied with the story but there are of course plenty of other things I might do differently now, but the project is over and this is how it ended up!

I realize this is out of your control, but you might consider this in the future. When Earth explodes I assume its supposed to be a main event in the video, but the music doesn't highlight this as a major event. There is a small change in texture but the dance beat keeps going uninterrupted.

i like the music, but i wasn't very into the video. the general idea is decent, but (and i know i'm being a bit of a nitpicker here) in my my opinion, if an advanced alien civilization came to earth and realized it was over-polluted, why in gods name would they blow it up, rather than either help fix the issue, or just leave it alone? exploding it wouldn't exactly solve anything. i like the idea of them taking a few humans away to their planet though. nitpicker, i know. whatever. nice music.

You never know, use your imagination - anything is possible! The earth is in such a sorry state anyway, it's not completely ridiculous that an advanced alien civilization may just come to the conclusion that destroying it is the best solution. They probably know dozens of planets and galaxies where much more interesting things are going on ;-)

Also, take shots when you come up to the subject with camera, but make sure you do it on the flat surface being pushed or pulled while you are stationary in a "wagon on wheels" so the shot does not come out shaky or jittery. Good music, I like Chemical Brothers, also digital and computer effects are good. But remember, most often than not, your viewers are concentrating on your actor. Good job, cheers :)

Never replied to you DeRex9. Thanks for your comments. Some good tips. Whatever way I now feel about this video or others feel about it, it was an excellent learning exercise! There's about 3 minutes of 3D and effects in there. Anyone who knows a little about these things will know: that was a lot of work! Anyway was a good experiment and you never stop learning (unless you already "know it all", like some of the other commenters).... ;-)

Graded very well. Especially the 3D, camera work, edit, etc. Although I think they rightfully pointed out that the whole "running away" part of the film dragged on a bit. She could maybe have fallen over, etc. Would have added a bit to the suspense. In hindsight, a 6 minute video clip was wildly ambitious but as I said, it was a great learning experience!

I think it's really cool. I'm a professional advertising copywriter, and i like the concept. It actually has an idea. Yeah, maybe the chase sequence could be tightened up a bit, and maybe one more thought dialed into the overall piece, but I applaud your imaginative piece. Could have used more upclose shots of the girl's face and facial expressions. They do not have to be exaggerated, but subtle. Same with hands and palms. Face and hand movements and gestures contribute a lot of nonverbal communication. Some shots sppek volumes when done from above the subject or from ground level looking up to the subject. Experiment and have fun. Study some of the early black and white films and their camera works. Cheers :)

First of all i would say get a better actress. im guessing that the acting wasnt part of the course that got marked, but it wud hve helped. shes a gimp infront of the camera, expression shots all wrong and that and runs like a chicken. well like this tune and it kinda ruined it 4 me 2 see a social reject running away from a light or something or other, i cldnt e bothered to finish watching. fairplay on camera angles and no offence to the girl if she is like your play thing. wb

ive got a dream of shooting a video of me and all my friends on a snow boardholiday with this track. im currently looking for a some kind of video editing course purely for this reason.ive got som many ideas racked up to use for it. theres so much of their music that u can imagine doing something to it like snowboarding or mountainbiking down the side of a mountain,or jumping out of a plane, especially this one.

Thanks for the comments. Yes it was tough to synch up some of the sounds with the pictures (e.g. a cymbal crash) but I did try where possible. I like to think that the mood and speed of the pictures ties in more with the music - that was an important goal for me at the time. But I take your ideas on board for the next one - thanks for the feedback!

I gotta say, I adore this track - one of my personal favourites of all time. I thought the video was good, had a plot and was well shot. It would have been a little nicer to have it tie in to the music more - like when theres a cymbal crash, or the tempo picks up more, or when theres general dynamic in the music, the video would have reflected that.

In addition, I think that if she knew there was a threat, she should have been running a hell of a lot faster, and then you could have had her teleport when she ran out of breath.

All in all, a fairly interesting movie with nice effects, and I never get sick of this song ;)

Not bad, but I do have some suggestions. In the section prior to the woman being teleported and the earth exploding, I was really hoping to see some apocolyptic things, like lava spewing from the ground, buildings crumbling, the river boiling, etc., especially as the music built up. I don't know how easy or hard that would be to do for you, but I'm just saying, as it didn't really appear there was a clear threat the woman was running from.
