@Summersolsticegirl you might want to read his autopsy report because he did have vitiligo, its right in there big and bold, plus if you look at the hottible pictures they took of him after his death you would realize that he had it, his eldest son also has it, he was never ashamed of his race. Just because he didn't become a spokesperson doesn't mean he didn't have it. Holly marie combs has it, John Hamm has it they're not a spokesperson, so ur gonna tell them they don't have it. RESEARCH STFU
@925lexi My aunt had it. As she aged she went from small patches of white until she only had small patches of brown. You become discolored so swiftly. At the onset of the disease, you'll have small white patches. You'll apply brown makeup to the patches. As the disease progresses larger areas will be white, and the brown areas will be smaller, then you will apply makeup to the brown areas. There was a dermatologist on Oprah who made special makeup for her vitiligo patients.
This whole family is hella talented. I just think Latoya should have went a different route, maybe as a dance, and Rebbie should have had better representation, she has an amazing voice
I heard Michael did not want to do the show thing but, his natural talent for dance, rhythm, and what he learned during these years had to attribute to the sensation he became. If only we had more inspirations like him around today...things would be better for our youth with misguided souls today.
@Lthrnkgrl ahem, while I do agree that Michael was a GREAT, FANTASTIC, EXTREMELY TALENTED performer, I would not say he can be an inspiration to kids today. Come on, he had a problem with his own skin colour. What kind of inspiration is that? sadly, Michael was a very troubled man. An inspiring person is one that is proud of his/her heritage. What kind of message is that for young kids?
@SummerSolsticeGirl ...He had NO problem with his skin color....his skin had a problem called vitiligo which left his BLACK skin with LARGE and very UGLY patches of WHITE skin. Michael ALWAYS said he knew what color he was...all he had to do was look in the mirror...he knew he was black. If you are going to make a comment that you feel is the truth, why not make your information the TRUTH. It is time that all of these rumors and lies STOP....Michael was born black...and he died black!!!!!
@marygbonham um, sorry but I'm not buying that. If he indeed had vitiligo, there was no shame on it. He could've become a spokesperson for the illness just like Michael J. Fox has done for Parkinsons and a lot of people could benefit from it. And there's no need to call vitiligo's skin discolorations ugly (or even worse, emphasize it by using all caps). You are just contributing to the stigma of those affected by the disease. Please don't do that.
@SummerSolsticeGirl ..."If he did indeed have vitiligo"......why don't you try viewing the many pics that are available that show the skin disease he had instead of basing your views on the tabloids. Also, there is proof enough in the autopsy report, that verified that he had large patchs of uneven skin tone all over his body. I would be more than happy to provide you with a video and also many pics that show the extent that MJ had this disease. If you want to discover the truth, let me know.
