  • i would never go there. you should research hot particles. im sure most of the radioactive particles have been washed to the ground due to 25 years of rain. so every step you take you may be kicking up hot particles that get on your clothes or worse, inside your body

  • Shame on me for only seeing this after playing CoD 4, but I already knew but not like this, your video is so detailed.

Say, were you somewhat afraid of being in a ghost town?

  • can anyone tell me the story of this town i mean what happend ?

  • @MrKillerfan18 in 1985 the chernobyl nuclear power plant exploded killing hundreds of people and making the city radio active and uninhabitable and is still radio active today and will be for the next 500 years or so

  • The STALKER and CoD comments are amusing me at all of these videos :D.

    Thanks for the footage!

  • It hard to imagion that these were people home.

they were just sitting or doing somthing what we would be doing.

    then the desaster struck.

i would hate to move house. just leave in an instant. not knowing when or even your going to walk up the path to your home. or see people in your day to day live.

one amazing life then just get destroyed in a instant.

also it would hard to imagion what would happen if the desater wouldnt of happend.

    there lives wouldnt of changed.

    R.I.P Chernobyl

  • Hey you know you could have taken me with you!I like Cernobyl and Pripyat and i am ready for action!Only prob is i don't have a personal gun. :(

  • love your vids

  • Ongelooflijk dat hier mensen hebben gewoond... en dat zij binnen 24 uur (te laat) alles hebben moeten achterlaten.... was het niet eng om hier te zijn? Zo verlaten, zonder geluid van vogels?

  • 50,000 People used to live here..... Now its a "Ghost" Town

  • Wow scary, how do you even get here? I mean do you need special clearance or something? BTW good video, its chilling to see how accurate stalker is on the locations, but i suppose there are no mutants running around haha. Gosh i gotta see this place sometime in my life...

  • FIFTY THOUSAND PEOPLE USE TO LIVE THERE.

  • u did not any find remainings of people

  • I badly want to go there, someday i will.

  • aww shit this was in HD the whole time.

  • eerie

  • What's the half life or uranium? Or whatever they use for reactors.

  • @finalfanta25 Chernobyl #4 used MOX, a uranium/plutonium mixture. Half life is 24,000 years. The accepted rule for radiation is 10 half- lives. In other words, the area around Pripyat will be uninhabitable for 240,000 years. The emergency concrete & steel protective covering is already crumbling in Chernobyl. The Russian people have asked for monetary help to fix it, but no plans are made. Do you think we can keep it up for 1/4 million years? MOX is also what is used in reactor #3 in Fukushima.

  • I am slightly ashamed that my knowledge of this does come from playing the STALKER series, but at the same time due to this had a very emotional response to this video. The factory at 5:54 is modeled in the game as the "Jupiter Plant", and seeing it on screen was truly strange because I feel like I have really been there. Similarly the ferris wheel pictures and the blocks of flats have the same effect, because watching this is like seeing a place I know totally devastated. Odd, yes. Great video.

  • @unimoggie I completely know what you mean. The STALKER series capture the atmosphere pretty good, though it's a far stretch from reality! I'm so stoked for STALKER 2, I hope it'll be a bit less.. cryptic than it's predecessors!

  • @aapinator Honestly, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. really seems like an accurate remake of the area within the zone, I mean, they really seemed to work hard to get each building right! They put twists on it, but hey, that's how games work! Gotta make it interesting and fun, and GSC got it right on the spot. The Zone also seems to look quite beautiful as well, sure, run down and rusted out quite a bit, but nonetheless a nice looking place.

  • @aapinator Sorry to say Brother.S.T.AL.K.E.R 2 has been cancelled. The company was under investigation for corruption, but it was the government officials who are corrupt.

  • @unimoggie I also agree with you, I do feel that I was there due to the STALKER series. Cheers from Brazil.

  • dude u said u need the right documents to go in there wat do u mean by that

  • @ManorGaming Basically you need permission to enter, because of how dangerous it is. They don't want stupid tourists randomly wandering in and getting themself killed.

  • Is the radiation high? I mean like 0.4 mSv or still higher?

  • what language do you need to speak to visit

  • what are " the right documents " ???

  • Go to 7:58 for some delicious Tourist's Delight!

  • i think i am getting cancer just watching this...

  • GET OUT OF HERE STALKER

  • This video really captures how surreal the experience must have been. Well done.

  • how is the radiation thing when you were there , anything unusual feeling ors ?

  • at 3:50 is that the hotel off COD4 where you shoot Zakheav ?

  • @j8j8j8j8j8j8j8j813 nope, but it's close to it. Look at 0:25 in part 2 for that hotel you shoot from.

  • im going hear for my honey moon!!! next year!

  • @bikegirl2 Right, that's actually awesome.

  • hey really good video, I can ask something, what is the name of the song in the background?

  • how you get the right documents to get in there???

  • wow! theres a lot of artifacts!

  • no offense or anything, but why would you risk getting cancer to see a nuclear disaster site? well, anyways, just wondering.

  • @masterbait666 the radiation is only barely higher than normal. As long as you don't eat anything from the site it's really not a problem to spend a good five - six hours there. The chance of getting cancer is pretty slim, unless you plan on living there.

  • @aapinator Hey, i was wondering...where can you buy those geiger things ? I plan going there my self

  • @2976847 Your guide will have one, it's not necessary to have one of your own. If you insist you can probably find one at a tool shop! Good luck, and have fun!

  • @aapinator but how i do to go there ?

  • Very well captured video...if you tube still had a star rating system, this would get 5 of 'em. Can you please tell me what song this is playing throughout, it's absolutely perfect for this vid. Thanks in advance!

  • @Nichol7898 Thanks :). I used Ethereal Awakening and Temporal by Project Divinity.

  • Fifty thousand people used to live here .... now it's a Burger Town.

  • The ghosts that reside inside chernobyl. people say are incredible, they have a solid shampe, and sometime glow orange bright light, I would like to see that !

  • @siberiantiger2354 very well said my friend. It's been estimated by some that at least 200,000 were killed so far. The truth is; no one knows exact numbers. The only thing that is clear is that at least 50,000 people died, ranging from brave firefighters, cleaners and workers to innocent children. Every year an additional 4,000 above national average die from cancer in the region. It's so sad.. This never should have happened.

  • the music made it really sad. great video

  • looks spooky

  • I have a question: How did you feel when you saw the plant?.

  • @mees462 at first I didn't really realize it. I just took pictures from the car. Later, when we were feeding the fish near it, I suddenly realized I was standing 200 meters from my life long dream. Then it was quite overwhelming actually!

  • its creepy at 4:30 onwards ive been in that building whilst playing stalker, i didnt realise it was a real buiding!

  • is there some mutants or bloodsuckers around i dont mean the stalker game

  • In the Summer...do you hear Any birds at all??? I hear it is very quiet, even in the summer!

  • damn....you're not even allowed to go to the grass...

  • u should learn how 2 hold the camera.

  • @haloracon I know, but I had been looking forward to going there for over seven years. Long story short; my (almost life long) dream had finally come about and I was extremely exited - so exited that my hands were kind of shaky. I'm sorry if it bothered you!

Oh and by the way; I was trying to NOT get people in the frame.. Which is quite hard when you're with four others around you. So that's why I made some jumpy camera movements every now and then.

  • @aapinator lol not bothered me at all..ur videos are great!

can u tell me the radiation level in the prypiat now?

  • @haloracon I'm not exactly sure, but it's not really 'extremely dangerous' anymore. As long as you stay on the paths and don't eat anything that grows in the Zone, you'll be just fine. In fact, people still work in the very same factory as where the accident happened. Reactor 4 is where it all went wrong, Reactor 3 is filled with concrete, and 1 + 2 are still operational. People work in two week shifts, and sleep in the zone too. Feel free to send me a private message if you have any questions!

  • @aapinator thank u for answering my question so patiently! im really interested in that area bacause one of my school friend told me that his parents came from pripyat city. now he with his family living in moscow, his parents were workers while the power plant disaster happens then his parents were exposed in the exetremely high radiation for entire day.he needs to take some kind of pill 4 his entire lifespan.

  • very good photo and video!!

  • Damn you're lucky. I'm hoping to go there as soon as I can.

By the way, that building at 5:00 is actually a level in STALKER: Call of Pripyat, at Jupiter Factory.

  • i played call of duty 4, its scary how true to life the lay-out of the city was in the game, kinda creepy really to see an entire city devoid of any life, the amusement park, the apartment buildings everything, like someone stopped time and everyone disappered,

  • 4:44 lol those things scared the shit out of me :P

  • Thank god sweden found out about this if we didn't we wouldn't live today. Gooo sweden! :)

  • I really want to go to the "zone", see a whole town abandon to rot. But i can't figure out how. I figure it's not like a charter trip. I live in Norway and I'm going on a "around the world" trip, and really want to stop and take a look at this place. But how do i get to go in ? Figure I probably need a guide to.

  • Im from norway to and i want to do the same thing lol

  • @Smennyboy A recent documentary by the BBC, says you CAN visit, and there ARE guides. you're advised not to eat anything harvested from within the exclusion zone. There is an old couple who have been living there since returning 1 year after the disaster. they're living off the land quite fine :) haha

  • so no mutants running around tring to eat you or anything?

  • @xivankalashnikovx our guide killed the occasional bloodsuckers and wild dogs.. Nothing special :-).

  • @aapinator did you forget to bring your detector because just think! How many artifacts there are in pripyat!

  • @xivankalashnikovx

    Don't play too much S.T.A.L.K.E.R , you're getting paranoid.

  • @xivankalashnikovx NO dont play too much stalker

  • I want the music on this video!! Where did you got i from?

  • I can't remember where I got it.. Sorry mate, try searching for the songs on Google. The title's are in the description of part 2.

  • Search google for DVDSoft Youtube downloader :) With that tool you simply put in the link to the youtube movie, and it will download a .mp3 version :)

  • just wandering how did u go inside of the radiation infected area without being contaminated?? Did u have a special suit on? or do u have a time limit on being their??

  • It's been quite over 20 years since the accident. All the trees that absorbed most of the radiation had been chopped and buried.

It's not safe there though. We had about three hours in the exclusion zone, and the people who still work there work in shifts of two weeks. It's also recommended to not step on the grass, or eat anything that grows in the zone since the radiation is still being emitted.

  • There are probably creepy hermits living there, who find whatever metal they can find and then sell it in a scrapyard for money

  • Yep. If you watched part two of my video, you'd see what they did to the Jupiter factory :-). There even was Christmas decoration and a few improvised chairs left behind by raiders. All the heaters have been taken out and sold for big bucks too. I believe you can find pictures of that somewhere, it's a pretty amazing sight.. Some trucks, filled with heaters between the abandoned flats. It's a shame though, they ruined the zone.

  • @aapinator I just wish that Russians wouldn't be such fucking savages

  • I have to say, the people that made S.T.A.L.K.E.R really no what this place looked like. All they really did was add in some disgusting mutants.

  • @TheBigCheese199 The S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games (except for the latest edition, Call of Pripyat) didn't exactly do a great job. When you've been there, you can see that the stuff in game isn't exactly what it's supposed to be. Call of Pripyat did the best job of all the games though. It's hard to explain but it .. it just doesn't work for me ;-).

  • makes me wanna play stalker

  • im gonna go their when im older and i want to know do i need a permit and how do i get 1 if so also do i need a gas mask or any radiation equipment as it is still radiated.

  • @JoeyEggSupreme You will need a permit. Radiation equipment, however, will not be necessary.

  • ok so how do i get permits?

  • @JoeyEggSupreme

There are big pockets of Radiation here and there, so I thing you should bring a radiometer and very basic radiation clothing

  • 7:43, russian gas mask are sooooo scary

  • brilliant video

  • So peaceful, I'd like to go there some day. Sometimes when I'm playing STALKER I'll go to Pripyat and just look around and try to take it all in.

  • This is by far the best video of Pripyat and the Chernobyl reactor. Nice video. I would love to visit the area myself. I have been facinated by this area since learning about it back in 2000. Simply amazing sir!

  • Factory named jupiter is my favourite place in Pripyat

  • this is really cool. did you have to be checked for radiation afterward??

  • @McPickleswami: Yep. First we got a kind of rough scan, just to check the hands and feet, so we wouldn't get in trouble with the big scan. Some people were marked as radiated after the first test, and they had to clean their shoes and wash their hands. After that, we went back to the border of the "zone" and we got a big scan; a full body one. Our car got checked as well.

  • You can almost visualize the life still flowing through the town just as it was 23 years ago.

  • cool dream,i mean,it must of been scary but i wanna have a dream like that,i like exploring and stuf like that,i wish my computer could run stalker:shadow of chernobyl :(

  • mine can but i have to play with the graphix settings on low so i dont lag. its a good game and its definetly worth checking out. i need to get clear sky and call of pripyat though. i only have SoC

  • Yep, it's quite an heavy duty game, even though it doesn't really look that great at all.. I can run most games on high or some even maxed, but I remember not being able to on Shadow of Chernobyl. Anyway, let's stay on topic here, this video isn't about games, eh! ;-)

  • dude, u can run the first stalker even with an older rig. if u want to play CoP then u need a better rig. Got a gtx 260 yesterday and it benchmarked CoP at max 189fps!!

  • I have a GTX 260M, but the game didn't exactly look good, and it lagged.

  • what are your other specs? I have AMD5600+2.8Ghz, 2 gigs ram and had until 2 days ago a 9600 gainward GT card. Everything ran smooth as butter. With Call of Pripyat, the game would pause a microsecond every 6 or 7 seconds, then go forward like a champ. Main reason for the new card.

  • this feels like a dream i had were i went to sleep and woke up on a dirty floor and walk around a town just like this one and there were no people to be found and i kept looking for hours finding clues to the people missing and then i woke up

  • Awesome vid dude. someday i will visit Pripyat too. Its amazing that all this stuff is still there. This is a dream, Ghost Town. No Man's Land...

  • I'v thought about the same thing.

  • Checkpoint 1 was the harshist

  • hot
