After Sonny treated her like crap (again) she packed her bag and was pretty much out the door when she talks to her baby (not knowing Sonny overheard). I think if she wasn't so terrified of dying because of Michael's shooting, she would have left his a** a while ago.
Jax stood up to Sonny many times. It's so weird now, the truth came out that Johnny is Claudia's son!
