I had an adapter that said "SAEETY", The earth pin wasn't connected and fell out one day. The DC chord eventually broke and started shorting (but that could happen to any adapter). When I took it apart, it looked ok inside, but there was alot of metal in there that seemed to have no other purpose than to just weigh the thing down! Yes, some components require a heat sink, but probably not as much metal as was used in that adapter!

I purchased one like that from hongkong smartlaptop86 on ebay. got hot, wiring different. i paid $20, he sent it to me in a small envelope from a currier, 3rd party, and declaired it valued at only a $2 gift. He said, its a geniune toshiba told to send back leaving me bad feedback, i made it clear on the feedback it would cost me almost what i paid to send it legitamently to hong kong with a tracking number and a signed confirmation from them. I made a ebay protection claim got my money back!!!

The one from newmp3technology on eBay has the same misspelling too. The label started to blister after a while on mine.

i don't buy any electronics on ebay...just cheap stuff like earrings and what not... and check people's feedback all the way to the last page.....

Ebay workers are connected to the counterfeit sellers. Ebay will suspend you or boot you offo for filing a complaint on any of the big counterfeit adapter sellers. Almost every adapter on Ebay is fake. They know it, but they are in on it.
