I Play drums on these games, and rock band sucks for the drumming. Guitar hero is better for that. The only good thing about rock band is the wide selection of songs

i hate how rockband's songs are easier than gh's. i love the songs on rockband but a lot of them i could do them in my sleep. this one is a little bit more difficult but all the rest of the songs (excluding DLC) are easy to play. this is coming from your average expert player btw not someone who can FC every song on gh.

This song, like all others, are easier to 5star/GS/FC with "hyper speed" on. Great score, but do it without it.

The only difference is the appearance of the notes coming at you. It speeds up the chart while spreading the notes out. It takes the same amount of skill and plays the same, only the notes don't look as cluttered. There is no reason to turn it off.

You do realize that's false. You are correct, the notes do come faster, your mind works a little harder, but I've been playing GH1/2/3/4/5/80s/RB1/2 etc for years now. I've always been able to gold/5star the hardest songs, but some I cannot (yet) without hyper speed, such as this song.

I can goldstar this WITH hyper speed, but I'm falling short without.

I know what I'm talking about. Try it for yourself and see if you can get the same score. You will not at first. You will notice it's easier.

I've played every Guitar Hero and Rock Band game since the things have been in production. It's just preference of how you like to see the chart. It does not change the amount of points you get or increasing the amount of stars you get. Some people like to play Stepmania, DJMAX, or DrumMania on all different speeds.

The only reason you do better with it is because your mind likes to see the notes without clutter and with a faster chart. If it really helped you do better in the game Harmonix

Either way, a group of friends of mine and I all have played these since release as well, and I told them the same thing, that using hyper speed can and will increase your score once you get used to it. They said the same thing you're saying now, that there's no difference, but then they stopped using it and reverted back without, and all agree with me.

I don't see why it isn't disabled to be honest, because it helps... I don't know what else to say, but it does.
