except you have to be standing around doing nothing to shield block, you can be pulling another bomb or giving them projectiles to deal with, all the time having a rapidly deteriorating explosive inbetween you and them keeping them out of your face. it kind of forces an aerial approach which you can shut down with a rang, chase as you see fit.

yeah standing around for as long as the projectile is coming after it hits, you can sidestep,shield or attack immediately. Putting a bomb like that is so specific that it makes YOU predictable to the point your opponent could get lucky with a guess and attack you out of a short hop while you are dropping the bomb. And rang is not exactly lagless at first so they have time to see it coming, this kind of block is done better by D3 with the waddledees which he can throw several times and they hurt

It probably does. Both characters are very similar. However, for Toon Link, you can drop the Bomb like the person did in this video and use your dair to slide the Bomb towards your opponent. Of course I'm not sure if it blows up on contact.

not necissarily. The bomb could act as a front for arrows or another projectile. Then again what player will just stand there to attack you. But still...

Well this video isn't about how useful the bombs can be.

Its just showing this interesting property that Toon Link's bombs have.

If you want to avoid projectiles, just perfect shield them.

I can do it sometimes..but most of the time I'm to late and I just throw the bomb...does it has all to do with speed? I can do ik normally by first grabbing the bomb and then jumping and I can also do it from the edge...but am I just to slow for thisone or something?

You need to hit Z right before you hit the ground, and not be pressing a direction.

if it hits your bomb it explodes but you have infinite bombs so no worry

I've actually seen someone drop the bomb, and then use Link's Dair to knock it over to the edge for an edgeguard.

You can do it with Link, like Kizzukun saidm platforms, but Link can do on anystage, just simply hang off a ledge, then drop down, and jump dropping the bomb in your hand onto the stage, hopes this helps.

Try again, you have to drop it the split second before you land, kind of like Arrow canceling but with bombs instead.
