on measure 39, on the bass clef, the last two eighth note chords are like impossible! My left hand cant play low Eb, Bb and F in that ascending order at the same time to play that chord. Is there a trick to this, or is this wrong. how are you playing it.
Hey there. As the proud norwegian i am, i liked this video very much^^ But if theres one thing id comment on, its to stiff. I play myself, and i dident really get the feeling of your play.
Anyways, i think its awesome seeing ppl playing music composed by Grieg.
That's a question of interpretation, actually. I admit that a little faster would have been appropriate (I guess this kind of music IS meant to be played very vivid), but had I played that faster it would have been much more sloppy and for my part I prefer a slower but clearer interpretation to one with no dynamics and expressions (like many of those you can find on Youtube).
Oh thanks! I'm having problems working out the chord changes and haven't been able to play it by ear. We did "Peer Gynt", the play that it's from at my school and I've been trying ever since. I've just about learnt "Anitra's Dance" but I have the sheet music for that and Wedding Day was the only piece that was in the book, lol. Anyway you play it really well. Take care, Paul
All upward arpeggiations - your fingers are too straight, so it popped out to me. Playing like that will reduce your ability to play those huge upward arpeggiations that Grieg put in - and it will reduce your speed as well. You have to crawl up it, maintain straight fingers when it is needed, such as for length of playing, but be reasonable, and don't let it detriment your performance.
very good job. underwear is underwear. we (most) all have it...it doesn't matter. i mean...not compared to music. but (butt), some people think of it as (ass) music. i mean, really. really. however, music, your playing, video, thank you. i hope you compose as well as Grieg. i try. and keep on trying.
Thank you very much for commenting, andrespereyda. I'm glad you liked the video.(your comment is very amusing) But probably I am not as good as Grieg concerning the ccomposing-thing...:)
i was just referring to 5stringofFernandoSor's comment. at the moment i thought it was silly compared to the music. then i thought that fashion, or even hunting females, although base, could be thought of as music...it's a long mental or logical stretch. sorry. but, thank you again for posting your video. i will watch it again now.
I'm just kidding, you played this very well- I just love this song, it's so adorable, almost as if it was written for children or a cartoon. You gave it a much needed woman's touch.
it's like the keys are the length of the human body, the higher keys being the top of the body, the brain, the mid frequencies being the heart, and the low notes being the legs and feet;and the composer is massaging his own body by making his song, and the player is trying to reach a peak of satisfaction through the song.
you'll be ok, because you have proved yourself a good friend by your playing music. you will have exciting adventures in the future because of your love for music.
VERY VERY GOOD--- this is my next recital piece- THANK YOU for playing it with correct accents and dynamics, as well as tempo and emotion...all the other videos of people playing this song on youtube makes me want to vomit. Who was your piano teacher? You should thank them..
It really was hard work and had taken very long to get it at an adequate level for an audition. I visit the piano lessons of a teacher of the music academy in Darmstadt, she's very kind and she really has notion of how to play the piano.
so... so... good

No, it's not wrong. You either have very large hands or you arpeggiate, like I do.

I think you play this piece so well. I have loved it since I was 13.

Oh...and I'm not saying that EVERY version of this piece on Youtube sucks. I just think playing fast is not everything.
Theodora1989 3 years ago
I can't play this, no matter how hard I try.....

What exactly is the problem? Maybe I can help.

Is this a general statement or are you specifically talking about the Grieg video?
Theodora1989 2 years ago
both; the grieg inspired the thought among other things. i know you're popular and busy. thanks a million
