@lconeill1949 They continued to be friends after Eric started dating, and marrying, Pattie Boyd. Read her book. There's alot of interesting stuff about Clapton and Harrison from someone else's point of view.
I've listened to this concert recording since 1973, and it never occurred to me that the little piano trill Leon Russell plays when Ringo is introduced is "Yellow Submarine."
It's amazing the things you hear and don't hear. Still my favorite live concert recording of all time.
the legendery contribution of rock history for the Etaire world! rest in peace who passed away from us!!! Bangladesh n it's nationals always putts her hatts for for these ppl..!!!!
@ 2:19, the woman just off-center to the right, is Jeanie Greene. She is a very dear friend of mine that I ment through my cousin who has been best friends with her since the sixties. She had a pretty stellar career working as a backup singer for some of the biggest names during this era, namely Elvis Presley from 69' to about 74. And she also recorded an album called "Mary Called Jeanie Greene" in 1971 which has recently been rereleased on CD by Collector's Choice Music available on Amazon.
"Ringo" fans.... In honor of Ringo's 70th, I hope U will check out my "RINGO"video. It's very retro with Beatleish touches & was done as a labor of love and with the utmost respect for the Fabs. My attempt at putting a little bit of the Beatle spirit out there for Beatle fans. It's also my tribute to George Harrison's slide playing as well as Ringo's unique style.
Of note: in recent years Jim Keltner has become some sort of insufferable Jesus freak. He still plays but first he bores his friends' ears off with the need to get saved. Crimminy!
Jim Keltner's a bad ass

Didn't he forget to mention Bob Dylan? I mean, he was in the concert too right?
ratonmickey83 5 months ago
@ratonmickey83 Oh, yeah, Dylan had a block of time for himself. He also performed with George and Leon. He didn't play with the whole band, though.

Was there. It was a great concert. George was my favorite of the Beatles. What a loss! And also a loss, the great Jesse Ed Davis.
