  • Why not just use youtube for that instead of more & more social networks?

And does this app have a service fee each month?

  • It is very nice... I´m talking about QIK to all my friends.

    Thanks Bhaskar,

    Follow me on twitter: israel_sales

    Thanks

  • I have Qik on my N900, but I don't get it. I recorded a video but it has not been shared anywhere. It's not even saved in my phone. So what's the point?

  • so i can upload you tube videos off the n900????? please answer

  • @kole726 the way I do it is by going to the youtube page and upload it just like the desktop...fast and easy...I have not seen an app for directly uploading to youtube from the N900 but then again you can do things like on your desktop on the N900

  • Man i love that guy!!! hahaha!!

  • wonder if they will make voice controll if it does not already have it

  • You don't need a dedicated app. This isn't a s****y webkit iphone browser.

Download Firefox Mobile (Fennec) SPECIFICALLY developed for the N900. Look at the video demo on youtube. Crawl away tail between legs.

    N900 FTW

  • why isnt there a native facebook app yet? Google maps? Etc.

Come on nokia, dont do a n97 launch with that weak ovi store bs.

  • There is a native facebook app. It's up to Google to make google maps for Maemo - not Nokia.

  • I saw a widget, no app. Same thing with twitter, just directs you to a web page.

  • Oh ye of little faith. Facebook integration is brilliant on this phone. The widget pushes auto updates to your desktop, and clicking on it opens the facebook app, not the webpage. Apart from that, remember how great the browser is on this thing is - using Facebook is easy on the webpage if you wanted to use it.

  • when did they com up with an app? I have yet to see an app in the repository or on the phone. Besides, how would you like to click on the widget only to open the web browser in an area with edge data. Facebook is heavily javascripted and so forth, and would not be the best way to experience facebook all around. I get it that the browser is kick ass, but all phones will be like this in 2 months anyway. Imagine going to the myspace website? PUKE.

  • Like I said elsewhere-you don't want to like this phone. Fine by me-others would call it ignorance. You click on the widget and the Facebook app opens. Not the webpage. From launch. On the phone. From the get go. No download needed. Get it now?

  • Only Edge data? Haha, shouldn't have bought an iPhone and suck on AT&T :D hahaha

  • svntsvn: the new firmware allows you to use the browser in portrait mode and the rest is coming, and the updates are just keep coming. So YOU FAIL lol :D

  • i want wht u hav smoked plzz

  • Why do you need an "APP" when the functionality is built-in the phone from the start?

Its a Mozzila based browser as capable as the desktop version so you can access websites just like you're used to. + the WVGA resolution really helps so that should not be an excuse.

Seriously, its so effing sad when ppl buy into the "there's an app for that" bs crapple spews out. 4 years later and my n80 can do more things out of the box than my friends pimped out 3gs.

  • Well, you need an app because web sites are heavy in javascript and other code, slowing down experience if your signal is edge. It's not brain surgery. There are optimized app needs for handsets and there times where the real thing is superior. All I am saying is nokia needs to have some significance in that department. I'm not talking about IFART or anything like that lol. I hate the iphone. hit app, back out of app, hit app, back out of app, ahhhhhh!!!!

  • You dont need a trillion app's, just a handful GOOD ones.

  • @saqibq Would you please name those applications are usefull for N900?

    Thanks.

  • I've used Qik on the N97, but the N900 version looks much better.

  • How cool is this....Nokia, please bring n900 to Aussie land before I run out of patience and buy an iPhone

  • Patience is a virtue my friend ^ , ^.

  • i wounder if this can be used whit Ustream.

  • Can't wait to use it :)

  • Love Qik. You can share Qik videos directly through Fring now, too.

  • cool, happy to hear his positive feedback about maemo platform

  • awesome
