  • an easier way, yet less efficiant way to do the barcodes, is to just do different colors for all of them

  • i can't put the program on the nxt! it says the program is broken

  • @colin2219 : Usually that error means you have the wrong NXT software version, typically a version that does not support the color sensor.

  • Everyone! here's a trick that is unharmful, press ctrl+alt+arrow down, and your screen turns upsidedown! to undo , do this:ctrl+alt+up arrow and its back to normal

  • Hello!

Can u make a tutorial on how to make the thing Calculate that money....

    Greetz Fardy

  • @hero8808

Yes, you do get it with nxt 2.0

  • it works very good

  • i built a nxt checkout scanner but it`s not working! when i scan the motor it says shooter!

  • i made one with different design with nxt 1.0 and and you need a card to buy

  • do you get the infrared sensor with nxt 2.0? please reply

  • @hero8808 Maybe yes...

  • @hero8808 And it's NOT a infrared,but its the color sensor.

  • Are people aloud to make their own robot and send a picture or something to nxt programs?

  • @kraptv : nxtprograms is a place for just my projects, at least for now. You can post your projects to the NXTLog at LEGO's web site.

  • i wonder if with some finetuning, you can get it to read real bar codes

  • cool

  • Are you ever going to release more cool stuff?

  • @nxtprograms Does it also works with the NXT 1.0 (mayby with some adjustments)?

  • @pvanbroeckhuijsen : It could be done with 1.0, but you would need to re-create the program if using the 1.x software (as well as improvise on the building a bit).

  • @nxtprograms

When are you going to be releasing more D:?

  • for eg. i go to the near by super market and take a chocolate bar from there and scan it from the checkout scanner will it show details??

  • @TheAc1219 : No, it scans only the special (and primitive) LEGO beam bar codes as shown on the bottom of the scanned parts. Or it could also work on a similar printed version (fairly wide lines, spaces widely), but it will only count the white lines, not read digits like a real barcode scanner.

  • That is really cool.

  • Plastic :)

  • A nice project. I tried it,and it worked!

    Awesome!

  • Motor $19

    Sensor $32

    Tires $3

    Shooter $5

    Gears $2 Total $61

    NXT Programs $Priceless

  • Awesome!!! For more LEGO MINDSTORMS NXT 2.0 videos, SUBSCRIBE to me and watch my NXT videos!

  • i try to download the program and i got a error messange

  • this is soo awesome

  • Would it work if you scanned backwards?

  • Do u have any other nxt 2.0 machine projects.

  • I got an error

it makes the error sound everytime and when i scan it very fast it will scan it as something else :(

  • @35000vr : See the instructions on the web site. This is due to intererence from overhead lights. The instructions tell you how to fix it.

  • @nxtprograms ok,i already fixed it though xD

  • Very impressive job!

  • I have the NXT 1.0 and the ht color senser can i make that with this

  • @BestNXT : Not with the instructions as is, because the parts are different sizes, but you could adapt your own. Unfortunately you would also have to re-write your own program since the 1.0 software can't use many of the 2.0 blocks.

  • you are a pro nxt proograming i love youre creation

hope you make more and more soon..

    .

    go ahead

  • you should you made the item the same price from the actual lego store!

  • Cool

  • It's kinda hard to make a small one considering the parts are quite big but I'm sure someone will do it

  • Why don't you do your own version of the Rubik Cube Solver for NXT 2.0 and 1.0? I've tried some versions and I even did one for myself. But it's somewhat big... Can you make a small rubik cube solver?

  • wow!

  • if you scan like 10 things, they will appear on the list or it just adds the price to the count?

  • @legoman909 : After every 6 items it starts displaying on a new page, and the total stays and is updated.

  • awesome!! one of my faves

  • Can you make this for Mindstorms NXT 1.0?????

  • @Ned2600: Not as-is with these instructions, since the parts are different, but the idea would work if adapted for 1.0 and the standard light sensor.

  • @nxtprograms Well would be nice if you could make a program for it :) and maybe if it works with NXT 1.0

  • woow! cool. have you made more "barcodes"?

  • great

  • daaaa paper it saves the world and reuseable...only if target had this

  • cool

  • Paper!!!

  • AWESOME!!!! But, if I buy a LEGO color sensor separetly an I have the NXT 1.X, can I build it?

  • @xionicle: Not as is, the 1.0 vs. 2.0 part selection is quite different. Also you need the newer software to use the program as-is. But the color sensor is actually used in light sensor mode here, so you could study and adapt it for 1.0 with the light sensor.
