@Sicarius72 WC tends to do this in a more realistic fashion. He's picturing how an attack would actually come at you, at the head, not center of the chest. He's still following all the center line principles, but this was one of the things that seperated him from the group. He didn't just do things because thats the way they had always been, look at his Chum Kui (spelling?) form and you'll see it even more, his movements are more simplified.

See....THIS is what happens when you leave your sifu at age 18 & isolate yourself from your classmates - you start making up weird goofy things like putting wu sau right in front of your face (you're gonna go cock-eyed doing that, Willy!). Since theres no one around to bring you back down to Planet Earth, you start thinking you're a special Chosen One & you're ego gets huge. Next thing you know you're talking trash & getting beat up by Boztepe. Moral: everyone needs a sifu & seniors.
There's nothing wrong in placing Wu Sao high up,it provides better protection to the face. I belive one should tend to use both options. Wu Sao up and Low. Depending on the situation,both ways could be useful. Also,his Wu Sao isnt that close to his face,it's the angle of the camera that makes you think so.
Whether or not William Cheung lied about his knowledge is not important,his Wing Chun works,and many schools admited this.
Myself,i learned his,Ip Mans and Wong Shun Leungs SLT.
There's nothing wrong with training the Wu Sao hand high. It could be trained both ways. I think he made some changes to improve the art. Try holding your hand low in an MMA fight against a good fighter, and see what happens to you. Also, I have no respect for Boztepe for starting a fight with an old man! Why don't he fight someone that does not get a senior citizen discount! Who's he going to fight next a little girl! lol That should show you a lot about his character!
