  • Wolves:The wolf had such weird fur O_o

German Shepherd:What kind of dogs are they that are following me?O_o

  • That is so cool! Hard to believe how peaceful they all are. Fascinating video. Thanks.

  • @vmicro only because there's a fence between them. Otherwise they would be ripping him apart.

  • @Black7Cloud And you would have an expert opinion because if what credentials?? Just wondering.

  • @vmicro I have been training dogs and studying wolf behaviour for over 10 years.

Wolves simply can not tell the difference between a dog or a wolf. In the wild, they kill all other wolves entering their territory, why would it be different with these wolves?

look at 00:10, that's no friendly approach. They were going to defend their territory.

  • @Black7Cloud OK... interesting... looked peaceful and simply "checking it out" to my eyes. Won't argue... you may have a point, just not sure. I "read" little to zero aggression. Just me.

  • I always thought wolves were the original dogs.

  • @NASIMNASIM every dog has evolved from the wolf

  • @NASIMNASIM Yes that's one way to put it.

  • the wolves have a "crush" on the dog, lol

  • Those wolves are like:

    "Damn he looks tasty."

  • They're not kiddin when they say "pack of wolves'-------all had the same thought in mind about that shepherd.

  • Wolves: pssstt hey you.. come here i want to show you something. Dog: I DONT THINK SO.

  • Wolves: We want him in our pack! He's beautiful!

  • @buitrami Probably more like "Get in mah belleh."

  • the gang was wanting to jack him of his blinged out dog coat.

  • German Shepherd highest on scale buddy !

  • german shepherd know he is lucky

    \

  • dogs were the wolves that threw their lot in with the early humans. Wise choice

  • a real wolf would wreck a pitbull man..

  • @adrianspunk. Hhaha

  • The wolves are wondering where that dude got the posh coat from

  • German shepherd always the best.... they doesn't know the meaning of fear

  • Волки красивые, ЖИРНЫЕ такие.... А овчарка и хвостом не поведёт:)

  • @rubymickey

Lol, I think a german shepherd should be higher than a pitbull..

  • ...Now imagine being followed by a cage full of ape-men.

  • omg where is this? o.o

  • looks like jail

  • Shepherd: Hater's gonna hate *pimp walk*

  • beautiful wolves? they're all fat with spindly legs. they sure look ungainly.

  • Toughness Scale

    poodle/shiatsu = baby

    Labrador Retriever = civilian

    Coyote = Street punk

    German Shepherd = Cop

    Wolf = Marine

    Pit Bull = UFC fighter

Specifically bread wolf killing breeds (ie: Great Pyrenees, Sarplaninac) = Special Ops assassins

  • @rubymickey Whats a Foxes toughness Scale?

  • @rubymickey You're making a pitbull out to be cool, I'd say more like a thug, or in the bleeding heart case, a reformed thug turned community champion. What else regularly uses fighting in the ring techniques on baby life forms?

  • @Missus2112 id say more like an athelte. ufc fighters arnt thugs.

  • @rubymickey Standard Poodles are often used as police dogs due to their exceedingly high levels of intelligence. Just letting ya know.

  • @rubymickey I think you forgot to mention that a mongrel heinz variety is a Conspiracy Theorist?

  • @rubymickey Very good comparison's,cept hand to hand a good ufc fighter takes out the special ops guy and a good pit bull smash's the hunting dog.

  • @skama2010 I agree-- a good UFC fighter takes out a Special Ops guy...in the octagon. In the same way a good street fighters beats a professional boxer in the street on his turf. Place him in the ring and the boxer kills him-- same with the Special Ops.

p.s. Probably the toughest dog in the world is the 240lb 'bred to kill wolves'--Turkish Kangal.

  • @rubymickey Do you think there is a special ops guy out there that can take out Jon bones Jones, without weapons, outside the octagon?.....Tell em he's dreaming :)

ps,its long been established which is the toughest dog on earth...

I will look up this Kangal u speak of...but most big dogs, like wolves will not fight to the death, they will flee when things aren't going there way, only pit-bulls and chickens are so intent on domination, that they will die to achieve it.

  • @rubymickey Coyote? No way. My golden(a big one, but a golden retriever nonetheless) chased off 4 coyotes not long ago. He also got in a fight with the neighbors medium-sized pit(only for a short time thankfully) and came away unscathed. Although I wouldn't have wanted it to go any further because of a pits bite.

And if you think a Pit Bull is anywhere NEAR as tough as a wolf, you're crazy. A wolf would eat a pitbull as a mid-morning snack.

  • @rubymickey chiwawas = the sluts

  • @rubymickey

You in your country have very civilized and kind cops if you compare them with German Shepherds.

  • what a nice pack ! Beautifull wolves those are ! :))

  • Looks very calm.....not for the fence the shepard would be attacked!! Wolves dont bark or bay at enemies...they follow then attack!!

  • I don't think wolves should be killed...people should kill German Shepherds instead.

  • Comment removed

  • Thats how wolves prey on dogs and other canids. they don't go out an snarl and growl..hell they don't do that for any prey. they group up and use numbers to overwhelm. Wolves instinctually kill any other canids in their territories. its a survival trait they have.

  • ok weird

  • dont shoot them

  • and people think wolves shouldn't be shot...all the want to do is kill that dog

  • @squishy1127 actually, they were curiouse, if they wanted to kill the dog they would have attacked the fence and tried to get at it, but insted they just looked at it and followed it without showing any sign of aggression at all

  • Wolves are territorial, and see the dog as just another wolf near their territory. (Dogs are domesticated wolves, only humans know the difference) They would do the same if it was another wolf

  • pack of wolfies

  • They are like, who is that? Is that cousin fred?

  • Hey Shepard wanna join our gang?

  • It's like looking through a fence into the past! XD

  • Bunch of k9

  • is that a zoo?

  • imagine the german shepard as a hot shirtless dude walking and the wolfs are a bunch of girls following him lol that is funny :P

    nice vid thought

  • wolves are smart animals, they couldnt risk getting injuired by a dog, so they would aviod the scrap. my dogs have run wolves off our perprty quite a few times, GSd's were bred for LGD gaurding and protecting livestock from wolves ! the orgin working type gsd, would be about 120 -140 lbs the most. well wolves get around 140 - 160 lbs.their isn't much Phycial differnce between the two.just a great Rivelry :S

  • What this showing I just think the wolves are like what is this thing

  • german sheperds are ugly doge

  • look at the topline of the wolfs then at the topline of the GSD...

  • wolves are dogs

  • @rshweky9 Dogs are in the canine family, yes. But dogs are not wolves.

  • wolf:wow i am bored wolf:me too ...hey look at that guy

  • The wolves are like shit we are nothing, he is the robocop of our kind!!

  • That is awesome, but I honestly wouldn't trust a strange dog around mine, let alone wild wolves. Wolves are very well known for killing dogs, and at the very least fighting with them (Sometimes the dogs beat them at their own game). I've seen a lone wolf in NY State before, and it truly is an awe inspiring event, but never forget that they're wild!

  • Wolves are territorial and dogs and wolves do not see any differences between each other (they are related) The wolves are curious, or wondering if a lone wolf (the dog) was wandering on their territory.

  • This looks like a scenario with a tough guy walking by a prison cell full of gang related inmates...

Wolves; Who da f*** this b**** thinks he is? (amongst pack)

German; (thinks) damn this ain't nutt'n like my hood.. Why they staring at me? .. Ima keep walk'n

Wolves; Ayee homie, who you look'n at? What you doin over hea? Don't f***'s wit us

German; aww s*** , Naa Dawgg I don't want no problems

    Wolves; then keep it movin!!

  • @Alite71 Love the last line

  • wow!! The Alpha's don't like him!!

  • @jc208132... They were not wolves. One wolf could destroy any dog. If your dog fought 2 wolves he wold have been lunch in a second. Timber wolves (grey wolves) can weigh 120 -175lbs and have a bite twice as strong as a dog.

Your dog probably killed a coyote.

  • @Beefboy616 Don't get me wrong, I love wolves to and think they are great animals but sometimes even wolves are outmatched when they come between a rancher/farmer and their livestock. Several breeds of dog were specifically bred to fight off wolves and protect stock. Just do some research on it!

  • i have nothing to say i love both

  • I think its alpha issue.

  • A German Shepherd is NOT a good idea for a wolf to take on. These dogs are beasts when provoked!

  • @jc208132 you wrong! the wolf is the real beast when provoked, a German Shepherd as not any chance with an adult wolf!

  • @diexe1 Not necessarily... about a year ago a lone wolf came into a yard where a family was sitting outside, and the families German shepherd kicked the pi*s out of the wolf and sent it back into the woods. German shepherds don't look for a fight, BUT, if you bring it to them or there family, they finish it! There original job was to herd and PROTECT sheep from predators.

  • @diexe1 Really??? My German Shepherd fought 2 wolves a few months ago on our farm and beat them up pretty bad. We later found one of them dead near a creek. My dog is a big boy and we have never seen him get that angry before. Those wolves looked pretty healthy to, not old or sick.

  • @jc208132 where do you live? if it isn't Canada, Russia, or Central Asia it wasn't a wolf...unless you live in northern Wisconsin,Yellowstone, the Alps, Pyrenees or in a part of Eastern Europe...look at their range...it was probably 2 coyotes, which are all over north america...even if you live in Canada, etc. it was probably a coyote they are way more common in populated areas

  • @RickZiis Just in Canada but I see where your coming from. We talked to a wildlife officer and he said that it was uncommon for wolves to be around our area but they looked too big for coyotes. I've seen plenty of coyotes since I grew up around them but these things were darker and certainly larger. They could have been hybrid dogs but they certainly looked like wolves and I'll never forget their huge teeth.

  • @jc208132 Trust me they are wolves coyotes never get that big.

  • @jc208132 You are 100% correct! German shepherds were bred to both guard sheep from predators like wolves, and herd them! About a year ago, a German shepherd fought off a lone wolf that came in a families yard... the German shepherd put a beating on the wolf, and sent it back in the woods. Plus, my German shepherd dominated a Pitbull that came onto our farmland! German shepherds are badas* dogs!

  • @jc208132 those were not wolves , those were coyotes . no german sheaperd has chance against two wolves .

  • @garioldwin Anyone who thinks a wolf or wolves will ALWAYS kill or beat a domestic dog is either retarded or seriously deluded. Wolves are certainly dangerous and powerful animals to most dogs and kill them easily at times but SOMETIMES even a wolf or wolves do get beaten when they take on a powerful dog. My German Shephard is bigger than most dogs and very powerful, a kinda oldschool type and was bred specifically to protect stock.

  • @jc208132

An average wolf's bite is over twice as strong as a German Shepherd's. It wouldn't even be a fight.

  • @kramnodd9 That's like saying if I can punch harder, I automatically win! There is a lot more to it than just one factor.

  • @jc208132

There really isn't much to a dog fight, they just try and maul each other. A Wolf is physically stronger than a German shepherd in more than just bite, also. There's not a domestic dog alive that could take on a Wolf. And I love dogs...

  • @kramnodd9 You really need to read about the history of dogs and why they have been domesticated and for what purpose. There are several breeds of dogs which were specifically bred to fight off predators from attacking stock such as sheep, goats, cattle etc. The German Shepherd was one such breed but there are now a few varieties within this breed for different purposes such as police work, guide dog and stock protection etc. You argument is very flawed so read up and open your mind!

  • @jc208132

It doesn't matter what purpose a dog has been bred for. All dogs are just weaker descendants of wolves. Different dogs are good at different things, but even the strongest dogs simply don't compare to a wolf. It's like comparing a domestic cat to a lion.

  • @kramnodd9 Seriously, you don't much about dogs or even wolves. As I said, you really need to read, watch and observe about this stuff from reliable resources. There a several dog breeds (certainly not most) that are more powerful than a single wolf. That is a scientifically proven fact. A domestic cat vs a lion, what a rediculous comparison. We are not talking about a poodle vs wolf here! We are talking about large powerful dogs bred for fighting off predators such as wolves.

  • @jc208132

An average wolf has over 1400 lbs of bite force. The most powerful domestic dog has around 450 Ibs.

Wolves are natural predators. Their jaws can crush through bone easily. Let's compare a Pit Bull to a Wolf - a Pit Bull is bred for fighting, and their overdeveloped jaws are built to hold on and not let go. Whereas a Wolf's jaws are made to crush straight through prey, and many times the prey is over twice the size of the wolf. There are NO domestic dogs more powerful than wolves.

  • @kramnodd9 There have been reports of dogs having bite forces higher than that of 450lbs. Some were around 650-700lbs. I agree with some of what you have said, but wolves are sometimes no match for a large and powerful dog. Proof is in what I've seen buddy. I've seen a wolf laying dead with a lacerated throat along a creek bed from fighting my German Shepherd. That's enough to convince me!

  • @jc208132

Did you actually see the fight, though? And what kind of wolf was it? Smaller wolves, such as red wolves, may sometimes lose a fight with a powerful domestic dog, but if we're talking grey wolves, then it just ain't going to happen. Chances are, the wolf was killed by other wolves.

  • @kramnodd9 Yes, I saw 2 wolves attacking a smaller cow in our paddock and my dog raced out to face them. When he got there, he fought with them briefly but they seemed suprised and ran away. He followed after them to the thicket which we were worried could have been a whole pack waiting. We later found him 2 hours or so later and he had blood around his mouth and his fur was around the dead wolf. He would bite at it's throat and shake it. The blood on him was not his.

  • @jc208132

Well your dog obviously has the killer instinct to go for the throat. Was he trained to do so? It's possible he just caught the wolf off guard. The thing is, wolves don't really know their own individual strength. Sometimes, they will run from a large domestic dog (I've heard of cases of that happening). But other times, they merely see it as food. In a one on one fight though, a wolf will win at least 9/10 times. They just have too many evolutionary advantages compared to dogs.

  • @kramnodd9 I got this dog a few years ago from breeders of German Shepherds who bred dogs to protect livestock from wolves, coyotes, wild dogs etc. I never trained him but they may have trained him to do so. He's a very loyal dog and can only be handled by someone who is experienced. He does a very good job protecting stock but I do agree wolves will generally kill or beat a dog 9/10. That wolf may have been a lower ranked wolf and not confident so was too scared to fight. Who knows?

  • @kramnodd9 I also think we as humans would never spend 1000's of years (and 1000's of dollars) breeding and raising dogs to protect livestock if we thought they would be useless against a wolf of wolves from attacking stock. I've read a lot about these dog breeds and they seem to have at least some success against wolves. I also know people who use these dog breeds and have done very well to protect stock in areas habituated with wolves. My herd mortality rate dropped to. :)

  • @jc208132

I'm not saying they're useless against wolves... many dogs are bred for protection and have great courage, ferocity and loyalty. Wolves will run from dogs sometimes, because the dog may appear intimidating. Wolves do fight each other, but they often won't risk fighting something that APPEARS like it would have a chance. Dogs can and do work well as protection, particularly in packs, against many predators (even Lions in some cases, although they'd get killed if they fought one)

  • @kramnodd9 That seems true. We only use one dog because wolves are not really a problem where we live. We do get wolves though, just a few and it's only once in a while. If we were in some real problem areas, then we would definately use several dogs to work as a pack to protect stock.

  • @jc208132

I'd also like to note that I love dogs. I have one myself, a German Shepherd/Collie cross. I always have loved dogs. But a wolf is simply in a different league. They're born predators, perfect at what they do. There are probably still dogs that come close (yours being one of them by the sounds of it), and certainly wouldn't be out of place in a wolf pack... but no amount of human breeding and raising of dogs can come close to the wolf's natural evolutionary advantage.

  • @kramnodd9 Well I guess that's natural selection and survival of the fittest right there. I don't believe any animal is truly perfect at what it does - hence they sometimes don't succeed or fail. It's been an interesting debate though. I've learnt something new and I hope you learnt something new to. Take care and best wishes for you!

  • @jc208132

    Thank you, my friend :-)

  • @jc208132 is ur dog fixed how old i ur dog ?

  • @DogSoldier011 No, he is not fixed. He is just over 3 years old right now.

  • @jc208132 thats good an entire dog stands a better chance.

  • @kramnodd9 Secondly, have you ever heard of dog breeds such as Caucasion Shepherds, Mastiffs, Kangals etc. They are large powerful dogs which have several documented cases of killing wolves to protect stock. The German Shepherd is also capable if it's large and powerful to. I love and respect wolves (even despite killing our stock) but they to are not always the top animal out there.

  • @jc208132

Also, it's true that dogs, when in a pack, can kill a single wolf. But there are NO dogs capable of killing wolves in a one on one fight. Domestic dogs lack the predatory instincts of a wolf, and also lack the power and intelligence. A wolf would simply go for the neck. One bite and it's over. Years of natural evolution have made the wolf a natural killer. Domestic dogs simply do not have the advanced survival instincts of the wolf, nor do they have the same level of capability.

  • @kramnodd9 Do you thinks spiderman would always beat batman??? lol

  • @jc208132

That depends. I'd say both Batman and Spiderman would lose against Batman Beyond. (Batman from the future)... although they'd all lose against Bananaman...

  • @kramnodd9 lol.

  • @jc208132

Mastiffs, Pit Bulls, Caucasian Mountain Shepherds, Rottweilers, Dobermans, even Irish Wolf Hounds (which were bred to hunt wolves in packs)... not one of these dogs would last 10 seconds in a fight against a wolf. I'm sorry, but it really is like comparing a domestic cat to a tiger. A wolf is simply far too powerful. Jaw strength, bone density, muscle efficiency, not to mention their killer instinct and superior intelligence...

You'd be better comparing a Hyena to a Wolf.

  • @kramnodd9 Hyenas have pound for pound the strongest bite force of any animal I think (could be wrong). I saw it on a documentary once.

  • @jc208132

Hyena's are awful things... they're like gang members, who get a thrill out of harassing every other wild animal... all the while, laughing...

  • @kramnodd9 That is true.

  • @kramnodd9 One on one a pit bull will destroy a wolf, for a number of reasons. They are bred to fight one on one--wolves are tough in packs. They have 0 instinct for survival--wolves will flee to preserve themselves. Pit bulls are specifically bred for fighting-- they have the strongest bite ratio, are pure athletes and the highest muscle to weight ratio . Two of the largest German Shepard's were put up against a Pit bull and lost.

  • @rubymickey I'm glad you pointed out the dominance Pit Bulls have in fighting. My German Shepherd is very powerful to fight off wolves but a Pit Bull is a fighting machine and they are extremely dangerous to any dog. Just trying to make them let go when they bite, is a nightmare! Well said!

  • @rubymickey

Did you seriously just say that a wolf has 0 instinct for survival? Okay... so how do they even survive in the wild then? Any domestic dog wouldn't survive 5 minutes in the wild.

Comparing a wolf to pit bull is like comparing a poodle to a rottweiler. It would take ten seconds for a wolf to kill a pit bull. Their bite strength is simply too powerful. It doesn't matter what a dog is bred for, there isn't a dog alive that's anywhere near as strong as a wolf.

  • @kramnodd9 Actually, there are many cases of domestic dogs doing well in the wild. Feral dogs (as they are known) which may incorporate several dog breeds can hunt successfully as a pack and kill many large animals including cattle etc. if they learn how to do this. This is actually a major problem in many countries. My friend in Australia actually lost an entire herd of sheep in half an hour to just 4 feral dogs. They only killed the sheep for sport and not food.

  • @rubymickey post evidence or stfu.

  • @garioldwin claims "...those were coyotes". LMAO!

Er, city boy - coyotes are not found in Europe. Only in the Americas.

  • @garioldwin Do you even know how a coyote is to be claiming that? you do know that a yote smaller than a wolf and a german shephard right? not to mention the facial structure is diferent from wolves and their bodies are more speedy looking while wolves have a more built up look. YOU GO STUDY ANIMALS YOUNG BOY

  • @Urukins @Urukins In eastern Canada the coyotes are inbred with wolves creating a super breed now officially recognized as Coywolves. Wikipedia:

They frequent the neighborhood I live in and are snatching dogs right off the leash. Still they are smaller than a GSD, about 75-80lbs. They have no fear of people, but larger dogs traditionally bred for killing predators (LIKE WOLVES) can easily kick their ass.

  • wolves are interested , but whituot a fence , the situation would be a maximum 30 second fast escalading . and the result wuold be for the german like in the world war 2 .i have an akita so i know thw power of one wolf ( considering akita breed ) fenomenaly fast and powerful!

  • wolf grunt: oh look who's here. its the human kiss-ass.. :D

  • I think the wolves were just curious.

  • @CarrieFromMars yea, ya think...they wondered which clan he was from..i mean pack..woops, little indian slipped out there..;) Love my GSDs and Wolfes!!

  • @CarrieFromMars probably

  • @CarrieFromMars Yes. They would have eaten the German Sheperd like a good old Sunday steak. :)

  • Wow amazing! :)

  • Put the same amount of Dogo Argentino with the wolves and let me see whats what...

  • the german shepherd is thinking im hotter than all of you!!

  • @koolness1231 HA, nice one. I was thinking the same.

  • wolves are really good at digging holes ... if you think your lab can make a hole you never seen what a few angry greys can do ... that is an interesting way to look at them considering the fact that they can go underneath that fence pretty fast

  • @TheSamaell lab? thats a german shepherd smart guy

  • @TheAwsomeIdiot i wasnt talking about the dog in the clip "smart guy" only giving out a random example of dogs i know are good diggers ( i have a friend with 3 german shepherds and they dont dig but my cousins yard looks like a mine field because of his lab )

  • Dog:"What the fuck are you guys looking?"

  • GSD DGAF:D

  • wolves think HOT DOG :D

  • The dog's hind legs and bones look smaller and weaker than wolf's. There are wolves species that are bigger than these in the wild !

  • Os lobos estão de olho para ver se o cão não vai invadir o território deles... nada a ver com amizade. Beijos.

  • The German shepherd looks a bit lost. Does anyone else agree and no im not doing this for thumbs up i just want other peoples opinion

  • Looks to me like the wolves are mostly curious.

  • lol the wolves are like "hey slik! come here."

the dog is like "walk away. don't look."

  • Wolfs are following the German Shepherd, like Girls would go after Justin Bieber

  • is it me or do the wolves look fat.

  • hahaha! the wolves think the german shepherd is a wolf.

  • there all like "HEY! Hey yoiu! yea you better keep walkin!.......where ya going? can we come?"

  • the wolves are like "check him out man, that's a funny-looking wolf"

  • the wolves probably see the dog as a other wolf and are trying to get it out of there packs territory.

  • Both the GSD and the wolves seem to have the same posture, heads lowered and tail down, which shows nervousness and maybe hostility. I think the three wolves at the front leading the pack would have attacked the GSD if the fence wasnt there. I wonder who would when if it was a one on one fight tho?

  • @xsilentlll Need to read the body language and situation as a whole, the GSD is calm and relaxed. The wolves are mostly calm too but they are interested in the GSD, the wolves have not yet made the decision about how to treat the GSD so they are seeking more information about it. If they were showing hostility they would be moving more stiffly, more intense staring, perhaps hackles slightly raised, ears either pricked very forward or laying back closer to the skull.

  • lol follow the leader, either that or "hey dog, cusin, let us out"

  • Sarah Palin thinks shooting these animals from aircraft is acceptable animal control? way out in the wild, where you can't even approach them without an aircraft? If so, she is a cunt. Also a disgrace.

  • @7mikethebike Even the hunters loby is against that, if I'm not mistaken. Totally agreed, it's despicable (and for the record, I don't agree with any type of killing of wolves outisde of self-defence)

  • wolves kill each other over territory trespassing- why would they pass up a chance to attack a lone dog? They must surely think this dog is ignoring their scent marks and is trespassing. They might even think of it as food. I wonder if one or two wolves(instead of six or ten) would take on a large powerful dog like a rottweiler, or a pitbull? I imagine a pitbull could probably win a fight with a wolf the same way it would win a fight with a large dog.

  • Those wolves are definitely checking him out... given the chance, he would be done...

  • They would tear him a new asshole of they got out.

  • you dont see this on nat geo wild!

  • If it was 1 on 1 the shepherd might win...or not, but it'll be a fair fight.

  • That's pretty interesting.

  • Nice. Except i couldve sworn i heard growling in that vid. That or it was the camera zoom... O.O

  • if the fence breaks .. the shepherd will be no more
