However, I dont believe slaughter falls in that category or is wrong. An informed and observant viewer would doubt the facts presented here. I respectfully chose to disagree, horses are not just like people. Beside the basics, I enjoy the government viewing horses as livestock as it makes it easier and cheaper for people to keep them. If horses can't be harvested it could lead to either legislation on banning beef/pork/lamb slaughter or seeing horses as companion animals. Either of those things I wouldn't be very happy about. I support horse slaughter.

We need to have a law set in place to keep the horses from being trucked crossing the borders and into these sluaghter houses.
Or have a very large tax or duty on each horse that is sent across. This would drive the prices up and the kill buyers could not afford to buy them.

I chose to make these comments because I felt the video was soley an emotional piece that laked a full level of information. I'm sorry if they offended you. But you should be aware that to the best of my knowledge and schooling what I wrote was true. I'm not a piece of 'crap' nore will eating meat send me to Hell. And if you believe horse slaughter is wrong then I think you should fight against it, but don't hate those whose opinions differ. Attempt to educate them you'll get much further.

If you are going against slaughter, do it for cows and chickens! It's like the only animal cared about in these movies is horses, but they aren't slaughtered near as much as cows, pigs, and chickens. Poultry isn't even considered an animal (weird right?) so people get to do whatever the want to them! Imagine what they can do! And pigs are sometimes stepped on to death! If you think this is wrong, be a vegetarian. Because horses aren't alone here people.

Horse slaughter is banned in the US but there are loopholes such as shipping horses across the border into Canada and Mexico to slaughter. HR/503, S/311 are needed to pass to close all loopholes including shipping over the borders!! Contact your Senators and Congressmen and tell them to sponsor these bills and help them get passed!!!!

i no some of you may not care but i find these videos upsetting as my yearling colt had been to and auction 2ce and his last auction was a toss up between my friend and the slaughter house my friend won and then i baught him and he is the most loving foal you will meet wil do anyhting for you makes me cry to watch videos lyk these infact am crying now its sik i would rescue as many horses i could but not many horses are givven the chance to be rescued

i cant imagine what these horses are going through being shipped in double decker trailers not meant for horses then showing up there to get slaughtered.people are so stupid and cruel ...... i have horses myself and i could never in my heart treat them that way!!!!

Horses are killed for food. In other countries horse meat is served and enjoyed. Also, many animals eat horse meat as the main staple of thier diet. All cultures differ, who are we to say they are wrong? In some cultures they don't eat beef. Does that mean no one in the world should eat a burger or steak?? personally I don't think so.
