I watched an episode today, Senior was bitching that they didn't have enough qualified people for the job and that he desperately needed more people. Yet in the same episode Vinny left, he was "easily replaceable."
I'm not saying everybody that had a hand with the bike should be at the unveiling, but from the Black Widow, up until the Corn bike, he was involved in every major bike build.

The idea everyone's "easily replaceable" applies to unskilled jobs, like a factory job where work is just a matter of repetition but building a bike in the way they do is a skilled job. Its takes years of training. It takes talent, if it didn't people like Arlen Ness, Indian Larry, among many others wouldn't be so renowned. Just from a business aspect alone, much less the morality of it, its pretty asinine not to appreciate Vinnies contributions.
Yeah, the whole thing was pretty sad. Would it have really hurt to add the man on the intro and advertising? He had a huge following on the show, and I just lost interest after he left.
Also, the fact that Rick left was crazy. Senior often said the man was one of the best fabricators he'd ever seen. The man drove three hours round-trip every day to be there. Yet he left pretty much the same way.

Uhm. Thats why you should be wearing eye protection in a metal shop. 'bout as dumb as when rick was wearing gloves while drilling at the drill press. The chips grabbed the gloves and twisted his hand and arm into the cutter. Can't also believe that OCC puts sharp objects on their bikes. They obviously never had an accident or layed a bike down on themselves. Those sharp objects would cut you up.

mikey himself says in the larry king interview that he is only paid by the tv network to appear on camera. He doesn't get paid by OCC.
and you tell me why it would make sense to close the shop down and pay to bring everyone to an unveiling. Would be nice to include everyone but this is a business they're running and that's extremely unnecessary.

I was though, continually disgusted by Junior being given free reign to do whatever he wished. He came and went as he pleased, and the only consequence was a loud argument with his father.
Regardless, if you are a bike builder or a janitor, I have no respect for a man with a shitty work ethic.

The reason Vinny left OCC because there was nowhere for him to move up in the company. I watched an episode today, Senior was bitching that they didn't have enough qualified people for the job and that he desperately needed more people. Yet in the same episode Vinny left, he was "easily replaceable."
I'm not saying everybody that had a hand with the bike should be at the unveiling, but from the Black Widow, up until the Corn bike, he was involved in every major bike build.

The idea everyone's "easily replaceable" applies to unskilled jobs, like a factory job where work is just a matter of repetition but building a bike in the way they do is a skilled job. Its takes years of training. It takes talent, if it didn't people like Arlen Ness, Indian Larry, among many others wouldn't be so renowned. Just from a business aspect alone, much less the morality of it, its pretty asinine not to appreciate Vinnies contributions.

Yeah, the whole thing was pretty sad. Would it have really hurt to add the man on the intro and advertising? He had a huge following on the show, and I just lost interest after he left.
Also, the fact that Rick left was crazy. Senior often said the man was one of the best fabricators he'd ever seen. The man drove three hours round-trip every day to be there. Yet he left pretty much the same way.
This is probably why the Teutul's have split and are now suing each other.
