Blame Lewis Caroll for Hatter/Alice, because if it WEREN'T for his own lolita fetish with the real-life Alice Liddel--for whom the stories were written & who Lewis drew NAKED pictures of when she was a MINOR (i.e. a little girl)--Jervis (Batman villian) wouldn't have his wicked fantasy, the cast members who play the characters at the Disney theme parks (ex: Reggie as Hatter) would NOT be dating, & the film by Tim Burton would NOT have made allusions to the pairing.
@TherealRNO Jervis Tetch is a man that falls into a state of attachment to the Lewis Caroll book of the Adventures of Alice in which why he acts that way. There are many versions to Wonderland and how people make them. I honestly think all that ever came out were very good. Tim Burton Hatter more protects her like a brother than a relation kind of way watch the making.

When Bob Kane made Jervis Tetch whom isn't really Hatter but a man believing he is Hatter he became well crazy and killed every Alice he found? Um I don't know if that is a good fetish? Nothing against the pairing though the companies think otherwise.

Jervis is very sweet guy... But... Krööhp... He is competisining with 3 more Batman villains... Penguin, Joker and Two-Face. 1. Two-Face is sexy 2. Joker is handsome 3. Penguin AND Jervis are both cute and sweet guys... But the thing is... Who wins???? 1. I like sweet and cute villains 2. I hate humoristic villains and I am scared about clowns 3. Im pretty mad myself :P 4. I loveeeeeee animals 5. I hate idiotic villains 6. Love smart guys... I simply don't know who wins!

I keep hearing that people want the Riddler in the next movie...but I want to see some other get the light. Mad Hatter or the Ventriloquist would be awesome villians to use. Actually, I think I would rather have a movie that was only about the bad guy. Were maybe the last 30 minutes is when Batman comes in.
I second this. Seems that only Freeze's "love gone wrong" story gets any press... and that's only because he can freeze the city solid. But in my opinion, mind control is much more compelling, as is love which cannot hope to go requited (as opposed to being unable to move on from an actual relationship.)
Its seems all everyone cares about is how Mr. Freeze freezed his wife, yeah yeah we've heard the story but what about Jervis?? So what Mr. Freeze you freezed your wife but mind control is way cooler. *Sigh* Mad Hatter just doesnt get appreciated by some people. He deserves to be on the big screen.

Mad Hatter is an underrated villain.

Riddler in Batman Forever had a hint of Mad Hatter to him, what with the mind reading thing, but it'd be cool if they did Jervis properly.
But your idea of a film centred on the villain would be awesome. After all, they're the reason most of us watch the films.
