Cornell doesn't sound like he used to, not because of age, but because he fucked up his voice as early as Soundgarden. He never had vocal training, and as great as his voice was, he was also very abusive, forcing too much air, and eventually he blew out his voice as a result. Mix that with the alcohol and drugs. And well, that's it. He'll never sound as great anymore...even with vocal training.
chris's voice use to be better. i guess he is getting old. but h still sound pretty good like in the song gasoline for instance. his voice is really powerful in that song.

this was good- i liked it, the slower pace of it made it sound a lot more heavier- that said u can never get any SG songs performed better than SG back in the day - so everyone chill out.

i friggin love soundgarden and audioslave two of my favorite bands, and im my opinion cornell is the greatest singer ever, but i gotta admit this is hard to watch
ease off man. I love cornell. Soundgarden and (some) audioslave is great, but at this concert he was awful. He looked like he probably had major jetlag and didn't look in the greatest shape so he had difficulty getting up the energy to perform.
Singing takes as much training as anything else...especially as you get a bit older.
Even back with Soundgarden in early 90s, Cornell was using tonnnns of effort for singing those toons. You have to be in great condition to do it.
All I can say is...YUMMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This band is the fuckin best!!!!!! Chris Cornell sings like the devil/angel and the band is to fuckin good!!!!! The drummer is so hot!!!!!! I saw them 5 times and i cannot get enough!!!

this was good- i liked it, the slower pace of it made it sound a lot more heavier- that said u can never get any SG songs performed better than SG back in the day - so everyone chill out.
and i dnt get why everyones hatin on the RATM members- i mean yeh its slower but i think that in rehearsal Cornell would have told them the way he wanted it to be played.

ease off man. I love cornell. Soundgarden and (some) audioslave is great, but at this concert he was awful. He looked like he probably had major jetlag and didn't look in the greatest shape so he had difficulty getting up the energy to perform.
Singing takes as much training as anything else...especially as you get a bit older.
Even back with Soundgarden in early 90s, Cornell was using tonnnns of effort for singing those toons. You have to be in great condition to do it.

Actually i think the 'slowed' version of Outshined gives it like a heavier sound; i really like it. The Morello's solo was terrible, and out of tune.
Too bad Cornell lately looks tired on stage, and hasn't you know taken singing classes in years just to get the tones correctly.
Anyway, i really liked it. But Soundgarden original is way better
