an infected: a human that has some sort of infection that makes him agressive.

its called infected yes but infected are an other type of zombies they can spit blood to infect their enemy or just attack in groups to eat their target but they run and dont have to be shot in the head just shoot them and they die but people get scarred cause they run fcking fast and attack in very big groups so your dead meat if you go out on your own!

I think rage was more of a virus than anything else but it seemed capable of Adapting itself so that it could select a carrier but not infect that person.

No that part on 28 weeks later I think was because of a gentic disease in the mother or something. I think they took that idea off of a case in a country when a girl (I think it was a girl) Had a dangerous disease and although she had it, and could infect others, the disease didn't harm her and she didn't show any symptoms because of a genetic disorder she was born with. I can't remember the disease but they ended up locking her in a room alone for her entire life.
