was tempted to make my kit layout similar to this..but does anyone know if fast round-the-kit fills are affected because the gap between the toms and floor toms is bigger, compared to a standard bass drum-mounted set up? :)

@philcourty yea it affects it. the drummer answer is to practice and get faster at it. Its a strict visual setup in my opinion. I will move the ride if I play metal or tom conscious Rn'B

@philcourty I play a similar setup, and it's more so than just visual. If you have a kit that wasn't made in the past 7 years or so, you probably have really deep toms compared to newer kits, and this setup really helps playing ability so you don' t have to battle with setting your toms up over your bass drum without having them ridiculously high or ridiculously angled. With the fills, I haven't really noticed much difference. There is a little, but it's barely noticable.

really good cover. only 2 complaints: 1. the hand motions are too much like barker, develop your own style, im all for covers but you need your own swag, not a copy of others. and 2. move your 12" tom (2nd rack) off the kick because its resting on it which will scratch the drums and looks bad and probably sounds bad too. just suggestions. good cover though

to add to the travis barker debate, its not "if you can do what he does" that makes travis barker one of the best.. its the stuff that hes done in the passed with blink, his live performances, and his creativity in his remixes that makes him one of the best. Most of all the originality of his drumming. when you hear his drumming you KNOW its travis barker. By all means im not riding on him at all.. i only give props where its due and travis barker deserves props.
