  • Looks like cadaver bone...it's used to bond and generate more bone to replace the bone removed.

  • looks like cottage cheese

  • OMG!!!

  • what's the material which used to fill the hole?

  • lead?

  • It's called neofilized bone... It`s a type of bone that comes from an animal (mainly pigs and cows) that is demineralized and cleaned. Afterwards, when they put the material in the hole, in this case the maxilar sinus, it absorbs the patients blood and remineralizes the bone that got lost in the surgical procedure.... It`s quite cool!

  • @charlemagne83 so what youre saying is that chopped up white stuff theyre putting in that hole in his mouth is crushed/ground up animal (pifs and cow) bones??...

    sick but pretty smart

  • @3153dee pigs**

  • @3153dee Yes, exactly. But it almost doesn't have any genetic info from it's predecessor, so the possibility that a normal, healthy body reacts in a dangerous infectious way is almost null. They can also use dead people bones!

  • @charlemagne83 ..close.. Its likely demineralized human cadaver bone. The initial cutting out of a window of bone is to gain access to the maxillary sinus. The bone is then placed beneath the sinus to build up new bone that has been lost from previous extractions and/or periodontal disease. The added bones serves as new bone for a titanium dental implant. The bone window is closed up with a small membrane and patients generally heal up very well from this procedure.
