i've been following this guide fully and perfectly. But now, my Iphone4 just hang and rebooting (perhaps it just hangs at the starting screen, with the apple icon) for hours, and until, a DAY... please help..
i have a white screen on my ipod after the 3 steps, while the computer displays "waiting for reboot" for the program window. is there anyone who can help me? (:
hey i've a problem..i jailbreak my iphone and thanks to u..but recently i entered in it safe mode..i uninstalled all my apps and tweaks that i'd downloaded from cydia using ssh and winscp,used crash reporter,and even tried to restore but itunes said unknown error lyk 3194,1604..also i used tinyumbrella and ireb r4 for 'em but got same result.still i am in it safe mode....since i successfully jailbroke my iphone using ur instructions i trust u so i was wondering if u cud hlp me through it thanks

i m restoring to factory settings and see if it erases everything otherwise i m screwed big time ... i bought it only 2 days ago and i dint want to spend money to network to unlock my phone ... i would rather spend that money buying sim card frm local shop thats why i decided to try it.
Nothing works after following the instruction i installed cydia and then at the end it came up with an error message operation time out or something similar then i tried a different network and it dint work .. but the thing i forgot to do was to back up before i tried to jailbreak my phone now i dont think i can request my network to unlock my phone can i? or is there anyway to uninstall cydia and restore phone to factory shipped settings?
@willseleven1 if you have the cydia icon on your phone, then the jailbreak worked. Sometimes you get error messages with Cydia and that doesn't mean anything, the icon still works and you still have access to it. Have u ever used the Cydia app store before? Do you know how it works? But if you're not pleased with the jailbreak, just back up your phone content to iTunes and click Restore, iTunes will restore the phone to factory settings.

@luvbite38 I don't think the SIM card matters, but I'm not 100% sure. Go to my profile and watch the jailbreak I did using JailbreakMe 3.0, it's much faster and super easy. I don't see how a SIM card could block it. It will be just like an app installed from the App Store. I don't think the carriers can do anything about it since jailbreaking is not illegal. You bought the phone, you do whatever you want with it. I've jailbroken my devices tons of times and never had any issues. Ty for watching!

@xThePie did you follow all the steps exactly like I did? Did you download the right firmware? Did you let the kernel run before putting it in DFU mode? Does your phone have version 4.3.3 installed? If you follow my steps to a tee, you shouldn't have any problems. But if you want something easier, go to my profile and watch my video about JailbreakMe 3.0, it's the easiest method to jailbreak your device.

@AnimeOTheODead that's what it's supposed to do. Once you choose user and click Done, your device will respring. After that go back to Cydia and you'll be able to access it.
