Oh so that's what it looks like. When we were there last spring it was covered in mist. I just posted my video of that trip on YouTube as well. I really enjoyed your video. Thanks for posting a view that I didn't get to see!
@johnbrunedigital Thanks for visiting and commenting.. I did visit your video to see how it looked all misty. For such a place to visit for the visual aspect, having it all misty like that would of been a slight let down I bet. But, on the other hand you got to see it how most others don't get to see it, like myself :-) I thought it was quite neat to see like that. We have been there a few times now and have been lucky with the weather part..
Oh, one of my absolute favorite places in the world. The video is perfect and your presentation and selected music is awe-inspiring. Thank you for sharing this masterpiece with us!
@sxasher2 It's a special place that is for sure! I didn't want to leave, really. Thanks for your kind words on the video, I'm glad that you liked it :-)
@BeaverCreekHome Thanks! That is one of the hardest things for me to do is find the right music for a video. You would think it is editing but nope, not for me.
This looks beautiful, lots of amazing camera shots and incredible scenery. It's sad that a lot of trees are dying off. :( But it still looks beautiful.
@Cheerio753 Thanks Ryan.. It's a great place to visit! The trees are getting replaced by newer ones it just takes many years... The climb up to the Dome is a HIKE! You can only drive so far, as you can see in the video I pan down to the parking lot. Then you walk up the asphalt trail which is nice, its just steep. I had to rest three or four times and it is funny seeing all the people start and stop all the way up. Thanks for stopping by..
Dear Chris,You have visited to an incredible place..I can't believe how amazing the beauty at this place...I always love to see your videos like these..bcz you shoot the best...and I showed this video to my family...and they all enjoyed it very much....
I have to thank you so much for showimg us this wonderful place...
@lmmsl I'm greatful you enjoyed the video so much and shared it with your family. The Smoky's are such a nice place to go and get away from it all. I would love to live there at some point in my life.. Thanks so much for your kind words Menu :-)
i absolutely love going down to the Smokies!!! i haven't been in like 12 years tho when my sister and i were kids my family use to go almost ever summer for vacation. you just never get tired of it i hope to go again sometime soon so my son can enjoy it. the last time we went he was only one years old, and don't remember anything about it. thank's a bunch for posting this!!!
@nibornna I never get tired of it either :-) I want to go back already! It is an enjoyable place for the whole family that is for sure. So many things to do and see! Hope you get back soon.. Thanks for stopping by :-)
Fantastic to see Clingman's Dome. But, it's sad to see all the damage the Pine Beetles did to a lot of the pines. But, from your video, I can see new trees coming up! Beautiful place. Now, back to watch your Smoky Mountain hike!
@KJ4TUG It is sad to see all the dead trees but it makes it kind of interesting to see the cycle of life. Yes, there were also many new trees growing all over the place to replace the dead ones so that was good to see. Glad you enjoyed :-) Thanks for your comment.
@steveavery77 This is what I heard and read about all the dying trees up at Clingmasn Dome... The cool, wet conditions on Clingmans Dome's summit make it a coniferous rainforest. Unfortunately, pests, disease, and environmental degradation threaten the unique and fragile spruce-fir forest. Dead trunks litter the area, and dying trees struggle to survive another year.
@kookiemoose That would be incredible to see the sunrise from here, your lucky! I did not know about the shelter? Interesting.. With all the miles you have hiked on The Appalachian Trail I'm sure you know a lot of the secrets ;-) That is impressive to hear how much you have hiked it. I took a picture of The Appalachian Trail sign that passes along Clingmans Dome here and should of included it in the video. Thanks for your comment!
I have always wanted to visit the Smokey's,,, thank u so much for sharing with us ur vacation,, so pretty!! I like how you do the write up! Sad about the Trees! :( The music goes along so well with the video!
@NaturesFairy Make sure you get to the Smoky's at some point, you would just love it I'm sure. I'll have about 4 or 5 more videos to come from the Smoky's :-) Love going back here time after time! Thanks for stopping by and for your comment!
@MoviesMusicNature Ur videos are amazing!! I love being outdoors,, its where I feel most comfy...I have many places that I love to visit,,, but there are also places that I would love to visit,,, Smokey's is one place and Alaska another,,I always enjoy ur videos, :) Thanks for sharing ur adventures.. I truly appreciate it!! :)

@GoldfinchGarden It is breathtaking for sure! literally, for the scenic beauty and the hike up there LOL! You can only drive so far and then you hike up an asphalt trail but it takes the wind out of you. Not enough to stop me though! Thanks for stopping by..
Oh yes, I've been there too. You are slowly allowing me to re-live my childhood family vacations. Very nice. And Kevin would like seeing his soundtrack on this.

A very relaxing little film, and such lovely scenery. (the tree damage...acid rain?)

I've seen the sunrise from the deck here. There's a shelter of sorts located under this observation that most don't know about. Great video
