Your live tour was a real treat. The humour and love you brought into it left a huge impact on me. I look at our environment differently now after being reconnected to it. For anyone who is on the fence about attending one of Steve's live events, just go! It really is a lot of fun. :)
ah, i loved this.i just downloaded your wild edibles application and its a treat! wish i could take a live tour though unfortunately i live in kansas. thanks!!
@daboognish88 Glad you like the video. Hope you enjoy using the. And if you're so disposed, and you also still happen to be alive after using it, a Customer Review in the iTunes Store or Android Market would be very helpful to increase interest and sales, and help fund further development of the app. Thanks! Also, check out Wild Edibles and Foragers Unite on Facebook (feel free to send me a friend request there), and the Yahoo! e-group ForageAhead, which you might enjoy too.
Hey Wildman, I am a budding foodie and I would love to talk to you about your experiences and expertise. Is there any way that we could exchange notes? I am really taken with the possibility of finding fresh walnuts for cloth dyeing as well as culinary projects, also acorns for baking. My main concern is getting there when they are seasonally at their best, but also not eating pesticides from NYC parks. I live in the Washington Heights area, so Inwood looks tasty...
I remember him when I lived in Brooklyn in the early 80s. He was very popular, and I regret I never took a class. I remember hearing of his tours, his arrest, and then NYC putting him on their payroll as a tour guide. So glad he's still around...!!!
You're about 2 hours from me, (I'm in Westchester, NY) the limit of how far I'm willing to drive for a day trip, but if you know of any organizations that would like to work with me—nature centers, museums, teaching farms, parks departments, etc.—please put them in touch with me and I'll try to set up a tour this year or next year. Thanks!
lol, man this is one of the best stories ive ever heard.......at first i thought it was going to be about getting caught smoking a joint or something while on a tour. Love the vids, very informative.
Thanks!
