  • Awesome. That's like 90% of the pastors because they loveeeee hearing themselves talk.

  • I've talked to thousands of Christians, and not one has confused me with big words. Usually, I get asked to dumb down the language. "Trinity, salvation, and eschatology" are not fancy language; they are just words from mythology.

And I'm shocked. Usually when you point out how silly a Christian's beliefs are, they'll threaten you with hell. But this is a cowardly and immature tactic one uses when they've no good arguments left...and yet Christians celebrate that cowardice according this video?

  • @painstrulove Christians believe in Christ Jesus as their Lord and Savior, and it has been historically proven that a man named Jesus did live in Israel 2000 years ago. If you want to see sources I'll be glad to show them, and the best part is most of the sources weren't Christians, just people who lived during that time. But, if you believe Christian beliefs are silly, then that means you must think all of Christian belief in it's entirety is silly correct?

  • Where exactly do you find Christian belief to be silly? The thou Shalt no kill part or turning away from sin ( which could be many things: lying, stealing, adultery, murder, etc.. just to name a few.) part? Even from people who uphold Atheism to the up most can't argue against the belief that Christians hold- just because they may not believe in God. Even if you do not believe in God, that doesn't exempt living according to what is written in the Bible since it is not bad in any form.

  • @KirkGaming

I'll be happy to answer all of your questions. But I dislike cluttering walls, so expect message from me soon!

  • This video seems to say that Christians confuse people with unknown terms. Really? Is that true?

  • Hah, we did something like this at our K-life club.

  • lol thats awsome

  • mike:

    Danthious is correct. Mark 4:26ff

I understand what you are stating. While being relational is important, it is not necessary to share the gospel. The gospel does not hinge or rely on how well you know a person. It is "the power of God" to save - not the "power of your friendship." Rom 1:16. It is about people meeting Christ. We are the carriers -Rom 10:15.

3000 saved hearing one sermon -Acts 2:41-42.

    Ethiopian Eunuch -Acts 8:26-39.

    No history of relationship here.

  • lol dude i love this video XD we watched it in my youth group and we were cracking up! XD

  • when people told you what they believe in, you had the guts to laugh in their face and wish them luck in everlasting retrobution! love it!

  • This reminds me of something someone said once, "Leave the Christianese at the church when you go to witness".

Not everyone understands "The Lord" or "Hellelujah" or, "The Blood of the Lamb".

Look for the right soil, plant the right seed, and let the Holy Spirit do the rest :)

  • eh....no. Don't look for 'the right soil' the farmer scatters the seed on all types of ground. Meaning, share the gospel with everyone.

  • Yep. But I still look for the right soil. I know when it will fall on deaf ears. I've shared the gospel enough and have been rejected enough. It's not just a simple walk up to a person and a blunt, "You know Jesus?" You form a relationship with the person, and when you have the bond of friendship, you have officially tilled good soil.

You usually get hard soil by just "sharing the Gospel" right up front.

Be a friend, then share the Gospel.

  • I agree, but don't be select with who you share the gospel with. Mathew 9:12

On hearing this, Jesus said, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick.

Jesus went so far as to die for those who are; murderers, rapists, drug dealers, gang leaders and the 'scum of the earth'. The soil is not decided by us. It's their own decision. We just have to share Jesus with them, and then let God do the rest.

  • That's right, but in order for a person to be willing to hear you out, in my experience, there should be a relationship of some sort between you. That's why most of the time I share the Gospel with co-workers; I have a closer bond with them.

If it's some random person in Walmart they just think you're trying to get them to join some cult and trying to gain converts; like a business proposition.

Jesus said that the world would be changed by us loving them, not converting them.

  • @mikeyboy86 Not necessarily.. the greatest love you can show to somebody who doesn't know Jesus is to point them to Him. Not just in your actions.. but also through your words. You can create that bond by something as simple as a tea and coffee ministry.. but you still have to speak the truth in love and humility.

  • @Danthious I don't think that's true. It is human-kind that chooses it's soil. The farmer (God) doesn't do that. We have to make the decision in our lives to fully trust Him. He can't make that decision for us. We are lead on by sin and society to think that God damns us to hell and there is nothing we can do unless we repent, repent, repent! No, that's not the case at all. He longs for us! He Loves us with a Love that never dies! He doesn't scatter the seeds. We scatter ourselves.

  • @spairpartsdealer you should read the following scriptures then; Romans 1, Hebrews 10, Revelation 3:15-16. We don't make any decision to trust God...trust me on this, it's the Holy spirit that compells us to trust God.

  • @Danthious That is true. The Holy Spirit touches all of our lives and moves us in the right direction. That's what happened to me not more than a month ago at this amazing retreat called Catholic Leadership Institute. I had really been doubting, but the Holy Spirit was able to guide me into the Love and care that we Christians must have for all. And also, the fact that Jesus is never ever going to end his Love for me. He is unconditionally loving, and never ever unfaithful to us. I <3 Him!

  • @Danthious But it is good to share the gospel! That shows you aren't afraid of what doubters think of you as a Christian. You are willing to show God to the world! And He loves you even more for that!

  • so a Christian can't have fun either?

  • ok people. i agree and disagree with this thing, i mean, for one, it is true that in order to bring people to the kingdom of God, we must be able to relate with them and understand their way of life and why it is their way, because we cant go around saying thier way is wrong, cause that automatically gets them to go away. we have to have a sense of humor on this subject to an extent. we cant go around making fun of it, but talking to people in a humorous way convinces them easier. trust me.

  • This is hilarious! We showed it in church one Sunday. Love it. :-)

  • This video is by christians for christians to remind us to not become like the Pharasees (whom Jesus FYI often had a comment or two about). It is not insulting real christians but instead is showing the fruitless approach some christians have. Plus Jesus wasnt "I'm holier than thou" and I think this video shows that we need a sense of humour. Jesus told us to come to him as little children...that includes the NON-serious side. Learn to laugh or you will drive people away...trust me.

    GBU

  • Yeah I was hoping the intentions of the video were to emphasize to not become like the Pharisees. We never want to get to a point where we can't communicate with people.

  • What a mochery. How sad?

  • Why? Do you think Jesus spoke like that, so ordinary unchurched people couldn't even understand what he was saying? I think you're missing the point.

  • Dan 12:10 Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.

Hsa 14:9 Who [is] wise, and he shall understand these [things]? prudent, and he shall know them? for the ways of the LORD [are] right, and the just shall walk in them: but the transgressors shall fall therein.

  • exacly, "the wise shall understand" If your wise you can see the message it is giving.

  • Yes you are indeed missing the point. To learn french I did not thrust myself into a complex conversation and hope I'd pick it up...I started at the beginning with the basics. In the same way when you speak to a child you do not blind them with long words...why should you with a person who is new to these words and concepts? Jesus didnt confuse people and show off with long complicated words and neither should we.

  • I love it! All who watch this should take its message into deep thought. Peter commanded us to

But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear: I Peter 3:15

This command tells us we should be able to explain our faith both easily to the illiterate we meet on the street and logically to the over-educated, atheistic humanist.

  • I saw this at a youth pastor's conference. Hysterical, but sadly true.

  • excellent stuff!

  • ouch--way to make people think

  • LOL
