  • Only 130,000 views? Wow, that's sad. I pretty much view this ep as the starting point for jungle music itself, although bukem spearheaded the "intelligent/ambient" type stuff, and other artists pioneered ragga jungle and eventually jump-up. Anyways, this tune is way ahead of its time, what a CLAAAASSIC.

  • Shame the movement changed into DnB and peepz like LTJ dont spin the old school jungle classicsss still a tune though

  • Cerrrrlassic! does anyone know other tunes that use that same 'Loon' bird sample in it? [0.25 secs in.]

  • d and b appreciation society est 2009

  • A genius piece of drum and bass that will be many a persons favourite for a long time to come...

  • I fucked your Mom to this. Twice.

  • @SailfishSoundSystem With a 5 minute reload in the middle?

  • @gp93xx No, on consecutive days. I wanted to stretch it out.

  • ohhhhhhhhhh the genre battle rages on on another utube video...how original...

  • dope

  • You sir.

I will do exactly as your username says.

    I will press play again.

  • LOL, you guys have no idea xD

Dubstep came from 2Step and Garage and this was something completely different then Jungle or Breakbeat. Dubstep is even something else now then Dubstep in 2000 :)

and dnb is something else then jungle etc...

    just enjoy the track

  • @DownFlex don't forget the influence it has from dub music...

    it's in the name....literally hahahaha

  • Dubstep is a key sub-genre of D&B. LTJ Bukem is virtually the invesntor of D&B, this track being 20 years old. U would be hard-pressed and in fact just plain bigoted to like one and not the other.

  • Many many many "souvenirs"

  • Bukem danno

  • Peace :))) and LOOVEE

  • So true skribblestyle!

I like LTJ Bukem, I like Burial, I like Skrillex, I like Daft Punk, I like Angerfist, Nirvana, Radiohead, Metallica, F*ck Buttons, and guess what, I don't give a fuck!

  • it sounds in the beggining of The Jackal film at the russian discotheque!

  • @JoshuaWinkelman Yes its the track that played at the russian discotheque i heard this before i watched the film and when i heard it I was like that song is demon's theme.

  • @djentropy I agree with you, this is in fact a hardcore ANTHEM!!! that came out in '92, but Bukem was always ahead of his time and that's why this tune fits seamlessly onto an album that came out in '95. Dubstep, D&B, or Jungle, a tune is a tune!!!

  • please try to be more adult.

  • CHOONE

  • Big up @unwrittenwizard. Someone who was there presumably?!

  • For those of u that have no clue, it was labelled 'intelligent drum & bass'.

  • @mashupski you got that right its "intelligent drum n bass"

  • ya'll wrong ,, its jungletechno

  • Re: all the arguing about Dubstep. Just remember the first three letters of it are: Dub. Music doesn't begin and end at D&B and Dubstep.

Regardless, these old Bukem tracks sound awesome STILL.

  • I Don't Care What You Call It (jungle or drum 'n' bass). It's Just Damn Good Music.

  • Listen to Shapes and Colours

  • This is Jungle/breakbeat, D&B was inspired by it, dubstep came from god knows what.

  • @JeebuzCrist Hey i listen to dubstep but not that shitty dub like skrillex or mt.eden

check out these artist: Kromestar, Mala, and i really recomend CLUEKID he's has a biggggg style of jungle breakbeat intros

  • D&B / Jungle = same shit pretty much. People that try to distinguish them have a hard time. Some say that jungle has more natural sounds or something or more raw drumlines but I see a lot of the same thing in things people call Drum and Bass. Bottom line is this is NOT dubstep lollll - this is on another level - go check out watercolours tho - it's a better tune imho.

  • @jRareForm Yeah to me jungle has all the sounds you would expect to hear if you were kicking it with some tribe. You hear things that remind you of birds and at 3:19-4:38 where it sounds like women in the back ground and again from 3:47-4:38 where the flutes or whatever come in is what really makes this jungle. Then again that is just my personal take on it,also eating some shrooms/lsd and closing your eyes can help you decide.

  • @nomellocreampig this song has quite literally jungle sounds to it, but as a genre jungle isnt just dnb with jungle sound effects

  • @blessedisthesound actually, this is Hardcore tune, considering it came out in 92

  • @djentropy hardcore junglism..!!!!!!!!

  • Great old song... but it is neither Drum&Bass nor dubstep....

    IT'S JUNGLE ^^

  • @69porste NO .. IT IS DRUM AND BASS .. THE START OF GREAT THINGS TO COME !!

  • nice use of the amen break in this one! really mixed it up to good effect :)

  • This tune is 20 years old. First released: 1991. Omg.

  • @faction455 no it wasn't actually released till '92, I first heard this track @ Quest July '92. Now THATS ahead of its time.

  • @faction455 holy shit... I was 5 years old. I was only introduced to LTJ in 2003... loved it ever since though!

  • Am I the only one that sees the resemblance here? /watch?v=TNFwmgOO7Iw

    Great tune btw!

  • @dronevalleykk I heard that it's the amen combined with the break from "The Breakthrough" by Isaac Hayes.

  • Some of the best mtn bike music, thanks Danny Bukem

  • This was the first song I ever herd from this genre back in the 90's got me into DnB, Thanks Bukem.......been like a fiend for it ever since.

  • What is dubstep? Seriously, isn't that somewhat like inbreeding your children? Drum and bass is drum and bass.

  • Dubstep doesn't even deserve to be talked about on this video.

  • @Serial520 if your talking about that wobba wobba brostep shite then i agree, but older dubstep before that is brilliant.

  • Dubstep is the future..."in my opinion!" but i love all music..

  • Jungle is much more superior than Dubstep. Nothing more to say.

  • @dronevalleykk it's definitely the amen, although filtered and perhaps combined with another break.

  • @dronevalleykk

'Amen' break perhaps?? From The Winstons 'Amen, Brother' . Most DnB producers used it at some stage in their progression.

  • At 4:52 my brain creams.

  • Absolutely 'T' for Tremendous

  • Because nobody can be allowed to like this AND dubstep.

Seriously, does it REALLY matter what came first, or who inspired who?

Different people enjoy many different kinds of music. Just listen to what you like listening to and don't fret about what other people think or like; your life will be a lot more enjoyable!

Love music. Respect each others opinions. Life is a ride. HAVE FUN!

  • @skribblestyle Damn straight

  • @skribblestyle Life IS A Ride = Bill Hicks.

  • @skribblestyle shut the fuck up please

  • @skribblestyle The only reason i get annoyed, is when, you see old school drum and bass in the title, and you click it expecting a good tune like this, then you get dubstep or something alike, thats why i get annoyed xD

  • @skribblestyle thanks dad, now i feel better about listening to a soul-less genre, i couldn't have done it without you

  • @skribblestyle the first statement is true

  • @colenbrak realy? i love and life Jungle and drum n bass, also i do to "old school" dubstep, i never liked that new brostep shit after 2000!

  • @skribblestyle if you know your history then you obviously know more about the genre, i'm not resentful against people with a different opinion, but those who claim to be experts yet they don't know any/allot of the artist i listen to, therefore i think my opinion would matter more vs the opinion of a 15 year old who listens to skrillex(or any other popular artist) and hasn't invested any time in getting to know more about the genre or scene

  • one on the best jungle tunes. and maybe one of the first jungle tunes. that's how it started! :)

  • Anyway, never lend vinyl to anyone ! I have the sleeve but no records ! Oh the shame, Oh the Pain !

  • The jungle/Drum n Bass pioneers provided the 'LOGICAL PROGRESSION' for DubStep

  • electronic music progresses fast, it's not stupid to say that dubstep won't last too long

  • Come on enuff already! The dubstep v. d´n´b debate, this is the music of my youth, dubstep is the music of others, but i can dig that too. Everyone are free to rep their music, of course, but spread the love!

  • Sometimes it just has to be...

  • dubstep is the worst music ever,

  • @matthewking1978 yeah!!!

  • dubstep is rubbish compared to this. end of chat.

  • aye, fuck dubstep

  • If this is the Demon's theme, I'd gladly be a Demon.

  • Dubstep is hit&miss

    mostly miss

  • fuck dubstep! well, i eat my own words, but where im from... kids are all over it and i have all the tunes before they ever come across them. but i stay underground! Long live Oldskool!!! long live dnb n jungle! long live LTJ Bukem! oh and dubstep didnt start 10 years ago, it started 3 years ago, it was just another genre back then.

  • can anyone suggest some dnb as good as bukem? I've only owned and listened to bukem, and like his kinda mushroom-jazz tracks that kinda remind me of dj krush.

    always brings back memories....

  • @powderrida Source Direct, Hidden Agenda, Arcon 2, Photek, Peshay...I dunno, give them a try, Liquid earth by Arcon 2 is amazing

  • The first track I heard from Bukem...MASTERPIECE...´91 still sounds fresh!!! Ol´skool rulez...;o)

  • theres not a single LTJ track that i dislike , not 1 !!!!!!!!! props to ltj,

  • Where can I get this song?I've been trying,any help? Please,thank you!

  • One of the first clean jungle tracks, and easily one of the best...

  • I like dubstep ! But i will remain a junglist soldier at heart ! Props to Bukem !

  • does anyone know the name of that flute sample used that appears at 3:46?

  • @rarebeats77 Dont' use it please, its probably one of the most over used clichéd samples ever.

  • @ytcf71 i know its been used alot but its really buggin me, do u know what its called?

  • Go to your address bar, after the word YOU and before the word TUBE, type in "win" then press enter

  • fantazia , showcase, we jumped, spread out and ride the boogie- will never , ever forget. best night of my life.

  • dnb has little to convey musically or culturally to the grand mass these days... , things are too much focused on drawing the bigger tune production-wise...

Glad i can turn to these beauties once in a while. ^^

  • Logical progression is a paradoxical phenomenon. It is because the very most progressive things to develop are defiant of the linear thinking which precedes them. It's like saying, the goal is to logically be illogical. Like, the point is to venture into the void of chaos, and make something out of it. Very Discordian. This music represents the philosophy well.

  • its great that people still have an opinion on this song!

its at least 17 years old!!!

    more timeless than "Timeless" ???

  • @ponkor.man that made me feel old.. Oh well, F - it!..LONG LIVE LTJ AND HIS MUSIC!!!!

  • "Dub Step" is just slowed down d+b with "Wah-w-w-w-Wah" in the background.

  • Lawnmonkey? You haven't got a fucking clue!!! totally there with knf22 there is no bad Bukem tune!!! Was you one of the 2 that ticked dislike on Horizons??

  • Laynlowkey you are ignorant - there is no such thing as a bad Bukem tune, if you had an enema there would be nothing left of you. This is the first Drum and Bass tune ever made that LTJ dropped into his set 20 + yrs ago and the stuff you mention may not be around if not for this superb, yes superb masterpiece.

  • this sounds shit just like every other ltj bokem song and ed rush and adam f and all that other shitty ass dark dnb, its fukin boring, go back to the pianos and the soft sounds of calibre and some of hospital records, in other words "liquid dnb".

  • dnb was always first!

  • It makes me feel old to say, I used to listen to this album when I was 15, which Is half my life ago, still sounds fresh and new,

Why doesn't iTunes have this? Can't find this in any music shop, where can I get logical progression ??

  • this tune is legendary!! powerful. this tune is real, atmospheric and heavy at the same time.

  • fuck dubstep. this shit was real.

  • we ravers of the 90's need something softer with less thundering drumms - dubstep blends well with most retired ravers' herbal intake too.... yes a lot of shite but theres a potential for remixing classics like this to lengthy dubstep background music for us oldies !

  • I went and watched this "GOD" at markey & freinds last night the man is simply amazingg !!!!

  • Dubstep owns room 2

  • Dubstep will last about a year..

  • @jonas38 Thanks, I thought I was the only one that thought that, Dubstep is really good music of course, but people's tastes change over time, Drum & bass, is just so classic/and timeless, it will never ever die. I can see Dubstep music, getting some sick organs that must be replaced in the near future, but DNB will always be healthy.

  • @jonas38

Dubstep is there since more than two years, why do you think it will disappear in a year now?

  • @jonas38 So by your estimation dubstep died in 2007?

    Its been nearly 5 already.

  • @jonas38 hah even if that statement was true. it'd be the best year of my life. go suck a dick hater

  • @jonas38 dubstep has been around for a lot longer than you seem to think, and will continue to be around for quite some time to come.

  • @jonas38 dubstep started about 10 years ago,, so that kinda pisses your theorum :D

  • @jonas38

I dislike dubstep as much as anyone, but......dubsteps been doing for at least 5 years mate. And it's still increasing in popularity. Also, even the Mighty Photek has positive things to say about it.

Not trying to lecture but just like theres shite jumpup dnb, theres shitey clownstep, and like good intelligent jungle, theres probably some lovely dubstep somewhere.

    tldr: Why You Hatin Dawg????

  • @murray1234ful

Not everything that is popular is Good. Some are just Rubbish. Come to Brazil and you will trust even more on this quote, cause our music sounds incredibly crap.

  • Comment removed

  • @jonas38 "dubstep will last about a year", er.. how so, when it's existed already for over 10? is it going to un-last? will the universe also be exploding while dividing itself by zero?

i don't like ALL dubstep anymore than i like ALL anything, but there is dubstep more textural and real than most music available in the conscious world. as such it will last a hella lot longer than the 10+ actual years it's already been around, because art with depth fosters more, by those who can hear it.

  • @jonas38 dubstep has already lasted over 6 years... but yeah it seems pretty dead now

  • @jonas38 dubstep died 4 years ago

  • @jonas38 , dubstep has been around before people called it dubstep fyi, which means it has been around since year 2000 when garage artist were making slower and bassier tracks, and dubstep has actually gotten to be pretty big as of recent years. Some good dubstep artist are Vandera, Lostlojik, Phaeleh, J-One, Synkro, and Kromestar (check out "Kromestar - Galaktic War", very similar to LTJ Bukem)

  • big BIG BIIIIIIGGGGG tune :D

  • Great track! Added to the Amen break Database (amenbreakdbdotcom)!

  • 189bpm.

  • This is Tribal Rave/Jungle.

  • dubstep is tryin 2 hard ..GR8music dont have 2

  • This song is great. I like it!

  • Possibly the Greatest DnB track ever and way before its time.

  • Oh amen break, how you make my day. Each and every day -3

  • that amen break just ENDS THE GAME, hands down...

  • Realesed 1991,altough it could off possibly been around late 90 on white label !

  • Timeless tune, from right at the start of the 90's,the d&b did'nt sound like this back that early so this is way ahead of its time.

  • @pressplayagain The Glitch Mob aren't dubstep, they're Glitch. ...they're name kinda gives it away; they're 4 (now 3) Glitch artists together as one act. seen them twice, two nights in a row - best weekend ever!

and LTJ was way ahead of his time, he completely changed the game, well, along with Hype, Goldie, Kenny Ken, Micky Finn etc.

sometimes I just wish I could go back to the early 90's so I could go to a huge dnb event back when there was no fighting, everyone was too busy skanking!

  • Dubstep is good but DNB > ALL!

  • Heard this in 1991. Still sounds just as fresh today. 8 minutes of class.

  • This album is a true masterpiece and work of art

  • can anyone confirm the original release date of this. ive been told 1990? bit too early surely?

  • @ianruth1 - was originally cut in 92

  • Oh man- this is my fav LTJ track. Reminds me of looking across Delaware river from Philly to Jersey at 6 a.m. after a night of rav'n mad good fun:)

  • nice one man. I have this on 12" and love it. big up!

  • massive

  • dub step will never beat the old skool vibe originals

  • His best Track - a classic.

  • This is music from another planet, I'l be listening when the aliens come. Thumbs up if you want to be sitting in a field on some intergalactic party planet somewhere, mashed out to this track!

  • @ kierent73,

intelligent drum and bass/jungle is still out there and being made to even higher standards these days.

you just gotta dig a bit deeper,

    check out lenzman,spectrasoul,naibu for example.

  • Great song for a Sunday blunt sesh.

  • One of the best jungle songs ever!

  • LTJ @ EDC @ 2010

  • I repeat dubstep owns. Glitch mob, check em out.

I just had to post this because epic music such as ltj bukem shouldn't be horded but shared and enjoyed by as many people as possible. Greatness in any era is still greatness

  • @pressplayagain ever heard of skrubz?

his music is pretty good too.

  • @pressplayagain yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawn

  • @pressplayagain Amen (break).

  • @RobTheBuilder Did you know there's a site dedicated to Amen's? Check out amenbreakdbdotcom ;-)

  • @pressplayagain

Thank you, glad to see you are a true appreciator of music and not some pretentious douche bag who loves to put everyone else down because 'their' genre of music is 'best'. Childish people....

Check my tunes on my profile if you want to hear some beats I made dude. Peace

  • @pressplayagain DUBSTEP IS SHIT !!!! THIS WHAT YOU CALL PROPER DNB (imo) (:

  • @shamanlei78 yeh safe mate, this proper dnb ting is real. it cant be fuked with.

  • @pressplayagain WOAH. HOLD THE PHONE DUDE.

I agree with both your statements. Dubstep does own. And the Glitch Mob is my all time favorite group (goddamn legendary, extremely underrated).

However, the Glitch Mob is NOT dubstep. They're a completely different genre. Glitch hop and dubstep should not be confused, considering they aren't directly related.

    Just wanted to clarify.

  • @pressplayagain Check out the Engine Earz Experiment.

  • @pressplayagain

    WTF? Advertise this somewhere else.

  • @pressplayagain DnB: LTJ = the best

Dubstep: sit bac down on your chair ;) i.m.o

  • @pressplayagain Dubstep has nothing on the jungle revolution, absolutely nothing.

  • perfect beautfiul head rushing tune i fakin loves it

  • @pressplayagain owns.....? I'd hope not.

  • @pressplayagain please dont mention dubshit on classic jungle pages.

  • @mikejassi92 Yeah this is a smooth flowing but energetic masterpiece from the 90s, the thought of gay nonsense basslines with no object or rythm really ruins the experience of listening to this. Dubstep sucks, end of story.

  • @pressplayagain dubstep is boring.... there are some good dubstep artists but must just use wobble,,, way to much wobble

  • @pressplayagain

Dubstep is good but if dnb/jungle never died it it would have been better...

  • This reminds me of having epic Street Fighter III: Third Strike Battles with my brother.... Truly awesome sounds......

  • @iguessiamhere street fighter 3 yeah omg man i dig you cali boy.......

  • this is it people, nothing in the world sounds better than this, I love the sound of Bukem in the morning. Very early morning whilst me Jaw was aching and me eyes were rolling. but has been 17 years now and me bones hurt a bit more, still at least i can turn it up on here with me cuppa.

  • god, how i love this song! especially driving in the car :-)

  • the birds remind me after 5-8 hours of partying its 5 am...

and im chillin, rollin watin for the sun to come up.

  • Euphoric Recall .... right on one matey lol

  • @#kigin100

I know EXACTLY what ya mean mate :D

  • Totally agree with Kierent73, there's nothing like this kind of shit thesedays unfortunately. Some of my best memories come from listening to this tune.

    Absolute Classic tune

  • does anything even compare to this? :D

  • Nope, he is ze best!

  • Gives me chills.
