  • Lagunitas was twist off about a year ago...they switched to pry off within the past year.

  • @tauruslw33 so mine must have ben an older bottle. this review is 7 months old so it makes sence...

  • Yea defiantly not a twist off, I'm on my 4th beer and all had to be opened with a bottle opener, you must have gotten a bad bottle, I wonder if that had any affect on your review...?

  • thats weird that my 6 pack was twist off.. im gonna have to get more beers from this company to see if any more are twist off or if i had a older 6 pack. or something... weird...

  • Great Review but the beer is not a twist off, you must have gotten a bad bottle.

  • the whole 6 pack was twist off... weird...

  • who hoo 100 views

  • nice review i liked the dogfish 60 minute better but this one was still good lagunitas hop stoopid is alot better brew

  • agreed. ill keep my eyes out for stoopid

  • I notice you said 60 min... have you tried the 90 min?

  • yes.

  • ive seen this beer numerous times but havent had one. i enjoyed the gnarly wine, so im better this is going to be a nice beer.

  • if you like ipa you will like it, but i thought it was a little on the light side.

  • hahaha, OLD SKOOL, man! California love!

How old was the bottle you had? I know with IPAs it's ideal to have it within a month. The Lagunitas IPA is suppose to have more full-bodied citrus flavor to it, quite fruity with a pleasant hoppy finish. I may be biased because it's one of my favorite IPAs :P

  • i bought it on new years eve, so it was within in a month. it was good, but i found it light and fruity, and even slightly watery.

  • I liked it a lot when I reviewed it (gave it an 8 I think). When I drank it at your party it reminded me a lot of Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale (which I had drank recently before that) which was why the beer was impressing me so much.

I like the taller bottles. The stubby ones don't fit in a six pack cardboard carrier thing.

I'll bet the guy you were talking about was the same guy I was talking about in my review.

Heh, it turns out Kevin and I liked it a lot better than you did. LOL

  • you seemed to like it less than the grade you gave it i thought.

  • Have you tryed Shiner Bock ? I find it a very good over all . when a beer has a large head what is good about that ?

  • no on the shiner bock, i don't think i have even come aross it. i like a tall head on my beer. kinda like how the germans like it. i find it to be less flat.

  • I've had Shiner Bock, I think I've reviewed it as well... was a solid beer. Good stuff. I think any beer can have a large head depending how you pour it. Personally, I just think the head is in the way you pour, although some beers would have a much bigger head than others depending on carbonation, etc.

  • Jay, I enjoy this beer every once in awhile, when I find it on sale. I'd Probably

give it between a 7 and an 8. I think because you had such a big head on the beer, that it contributed to the wateriness.

  • i find that usually the large head causes it to be less watery. but i still thought the beer was good, and would drink this regualry, but i didn't love it either.
