  • How much was that coin worth?

  • metal detecting can get you money.

  • Why would people say this is fake? Bloody jealousy, that's why.

Is the guy going to video every single dig from the moment he puts the spade in? NO.

Nice find, man. I'm pleased for you.

I'm still waiting to find a hammered silver, gold coin or gold ring but I don't cry about it. Just makes me more determined to get out there and make my Etrac work for its money.

If you're ever in North East England, look me up and we'll bash some fields, no worries.

    Thanks for the upload. Subbed.

  • @pondguru Why would I be jealous...2011 record year for me as far as gold is concerned and I have been metal detecting full time for 12 years now.2011 one to 3 pieces of gold every month the whole year, best piece 9ct gold id bracelet 54g!!!!!over 7 ounces of gold found 2011....jealous?I think not!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Ignore first comment. I thought it was the uploader who was going wild with the exclaimation marks.

Did I direct my first comment at you? or reply to one of your comments?

    No.

Please control yourself. I don't really care how much you have found and bragging about it won't change my mind. It will just make you look like a tool.

  • Go America! *plays Team America theme song*

  • typical fucking yank got no history of their own so they come over here and rob ours, thankfully on this occasion its a FAKE yes FAKE vid so obvious.at least try and make it look real.

  • @ademlc1969 Hey! I'm American, and I find that offensive.

  • @ademlc1969 We got history of kicking your ass.

  • Are you going to take Vladimir Putin with you next time? I hear hes good at finding planted artifacts too.

  • Don't get the MY country's history comments going on here. America is a very young country. 200 years old or so. A LOT of their history comes from this country, and from Europe. I have plenty of American friends that have roots to here and Ireland. There is a good chance that this is part of their history as well. These guys seem sensible, and have already said they record finds. For the most part, I think that people are just jealous. Good on you, and happy hunting!

  • @Addictedtobleeps got no reason to be jealous mate i have found more in the last 12 years than any of these lot put together, and i have nothing against americans in general and i would go as far to say that the world would be a much poorer place without them,if he has said that he records them then i missed that and i apologise if not than i stand by what i said.also i do have a piece of gold in the british museum a gold diadem 4500 years old and unique to this country

  • fake esta muy bien conservada esa moneda y es raro encontrarlas a si a si que es falsa es una replica piche choro

  • Nice find. I'm all for you having this opportunity to enjoy your hobby worldwide. Some flakes don't feel the same I suppose. But if they were behind that detector digging the trash we all have found more times than good items...with the dedication to carry on with this hobby (I too enjoy) they would understand that you have PAID in many ways for the treasures you find :) History is brought to light that may NEVER have been seen or was know now to begin with. Happy Hunting...and Good Luck!!

  • jesus christ its funny how arguments on youtube become totally unrealated to what the video is about, he found a coin dated 1844, yet people are going on about what the british and the yanks done in ww2, the damn coin was made more than a hundred years befor the war even started!!!

  • Why people nowadays don't believe that you can find a gold coin of 1800's? The video is real.

  • These videos are so fake.

  • @HitOrStandUK Why must some UK hunters give me so much shit! Lucky or good I still have 10 gold coins! So piss off!

  • @chicagoron61 Enjoy watching England turn in to a small Middle Eastern country! HAHAHA. Enjoy Sharia's Law!

  • @HitOrStandUK Sore loser or what?

  • @battlecircus10 Loser are you for real you stupid yank, that coin was found in england some years ago by another detectorist who then sold it, then it was bought again by someone else and put on that field so you stupid yanks could find it, those fields you pay thousands of dollars to search have been searched for years by people in the UK and they found everything there was to find, you yanks are so stupid.

  • @metaldetectorboy Sore loser, your reply says it all man. Good hunting.Hope you find SOMETHING soon.

  • Thats awesome so exciting! I could see how tempted you were too rub it! HH

  • Well done, I can appreciate your delight at finding the coin. I've got no qualms about it being taken to USA, it would probably never have been found otherwise anyway.

  • Lmfao just listened to what you said "my roman area lol don't you mean ours.

  • @metaldetectorboy Sore loser or what?

  • Beautiful coin

  • 0.35 oh man hy hy hy

  • All the Brits are just mad because that idiot sold all their gold. But don't hate us Yanks. Our government lies to us and tells us its all there.....but they don't want an outside audit performed. quit bitching about taking your gold and get off youtube and pan for it or dig it up. Lazy brits with your good tea and you're tasty cakes.

  • @DannyWilsonsLaundry fuck off yanks its ower gold dig in your own country

  • @roger131067 hahahahaha. Then you better get out there and get it. Looks like you're behind.

  • @roger131067 Don't be upset that we "yanks" are the ones who are coming over to your country to dig up your treasures... Why don't you get a detector and find some of "your" gold yourself...

  • lol at people getting defensive about historical items.

  • wow nice find

  • where we can be sure its a not fake video ?

  • Just got tha game at BLACKHATT[DOT]COM

  • how much that worth?

  • have you tried the goldmaxx power, great video.

  • its fake bastard

  • @maxhoffa.

To be honest mate my response is usually just a one off, nothing bores me more than back and forth arguments over YouTube but I'll reply this once to clear up a few things as you seem to be trying to skew the statistics.

what your doing is comparing the BofB few months worth of losses to 3 years worth of US bombing raids, so of

  • @JolietJakeBlues1981 . And yes, the BoB is quite comparable to Pearl Harbor . . . a decisive battle at the start of a war that ultimately had little to do with the war’s outcome. You seem like a good guy all the same, and I’d be happy to buy you a pint if our paths cross some day.

  • @JolietJakeBlues1981 . I’ll just ask you to think about how the war goes if there is no western front in France: something made possible almost entirely due to the 8th reducing the Luftwaffe to a fraction of its former strength. No 2nd front, Stalin sues for peace as he threatened to for 2 years. You Brits flat out lacked the production capacity and numbers to toss Nazis back from the channel.

  • @JolietJakeBlues1981 Insisting the BoB ‘saved Britain’ doesn’t make it so. Who is the movie watcher? And please, Dresden? Just like Hamburg those were brit firestorms. The 8th hit after the flames did their jobs. Yes, Dresden, Hamburg, Berlin, etc . . . the 8th hit them. But you’re cherry picking your data if you try to lump the 8th / 15th in with Bomber Harris’ city leveling campaign. The RAF and USAAF had very different targets, with very different impacts on the war.

  • course the BofB pilots will have lost far fewer. However if I add to that British bomber commands 50,000 losses from flying raids the tables turn. Your agument comparng the BofB saving Britain to Pearl Harber winning the war is just off.

The glaring difference is that the Battle of Britain did save Britain, opperation Sealion Hitler's invation

  • plans were completely cancled and as I said before his attentions turned to Russia. Even with the great U-boat threat the Royal Navy still had some

control of the Atlantic and almost complete control of the English Channel as U-boats were built for open ocean not the channel. Many Historians agree that even if Goering had gained air superiority that the invasion still

  • would not have been succesfull due to the power of the Royal Navy which completely outclassed the germans.

One thing that makes me laugh is what I can only describe as the Hollywood effect in which you seem to think the terrible British laying waste to German citys while we the good old Americans pick our millitary targets with pure precision.

  • If I recall correctly (which I do)

I believe you had your hand in the

destruction of Dresden, Berlin, Tokio, Hirushima, Nagisaki and there just off the top of my head so I'd step down from that moral high ground if I was you. You still arn't exactly the most capable Country when it comes to bombing "Military targets" but that's a different discution.

  • Just look at numbers of aircraft & aircrew lost . . . BofB you lost 800 planes and 500 aircrew, roughly. Tragic, sure. But the 8th AF alone, lost over 4,000 aircraft and suffered 26,000 fatal casualties (dead). One USAAF 'group' with more fatalities than the entire USMC had taking back the pacific! Bomber Harris had the RAF hitting cities at night, while the 8, 9, 11, 12, &15th AFs were actually busy destroying the Luftwaffe and hitting industrial targets.

  • You kind of touched on it few posts back, JJB . . . arguing the BofB 'saved' Britain is like the Japanese arguing Pearl Harbor 'won' the war or something. A bit premature. Your sea lanes were still closed off and you flat out lacked the numbers and production capacity to push any Nazi's back. The 8th (and 15th) AF cleared the Western skies during daylight hour missions w/ appalling losses over 2 years. The RAF simply couldn't pull that off. Not a chance. That 'saved' Britain.

  • @maxhoffa.

Some guy putting "two arsholes" in there place (who where being arsholes I agree) but has to disrespect an entire Nation doing so.

I've heard a few Americans say about there dads or freinds pulling the British women during the war like it's some kind of rarity but in reality it happens both ways. A British man in the States gets more than his fair share of American "tail" too.

  • @JolietJakeBlues1981

Yeah, very true JJB! I was mainly just doing a bit of pot stirring . . . I have zero problem with brits and London is the best city on the planet. But you fellas are as touchy about your BofB legacy as you are about yanks collecting a little gold while vacationing. Or so it seems.

  • @maxhoffa.

While the Americans did help a great deal in winning the war, the battle of Britain was well over before you even joined in, and Hitler's attention was firmly set on Russia, which appart from the initial good start wasn't going to plan and the Russians were holding and even beginning to turn the tide of battle.

  • @maxhoffa.

IF America did not join the war and IF Russia fell, invasion plans for Britain could have been back on the cards and well who knows, but that doesn't really matter because IF my auntie had balls she'd be my uncle, IF the British hadn't beaten the French in the 7 year war you'd all be speaking French

  • @maxhoffa.

instead of English and IF some Americans such as yourself pulled your head out of your ass once in a while you would realise that we the British have done things to help you too.

Oh and the 8th Air Force didn't start flying any combat operations untill 1942, again well after the Battle Of Britain was already won.

  • What a beauty.

  • haha he`s Bender @ 0:36

  • I hope you declare these items! Or do you just rip them out and take them back to the US?

There are laws in this country regarding treasure trove and portable antiquities.

Sorry to rain on your parade but this is MY country's history you are removing!

  • @Crecybowman Please read my reply to UkHDrO from 2 days ago.

  • @maxhoffa, very cool showmanship with words here...and the visuals were stunning :-)

  • Comment removed

  • @maxhoffa = Wanker! You don't have any history of your own - never will have either! Whilst your Old man was having gay sex in london, his mates were shitting themselves and firing indisciminantly!..Nothing changes there then!

As a nation, you are a bunch of self serving arseholes - You are getting yours now and will continue to do so - Arabs are good for something!

  • @Crecybowman

By my calculation, our 'history' has us handing you your arses once, and saving your arses another time. But mainly I think it's funny to listen to a brit piss and moan about having 'their' history/gold looted. How do you think a good chunk of that gold got into your treasury? Here's a hint . . . ask an Indian. You guys slay me. You do.

  • @maxhoffa Funny...I did ask an Indian! A native American...Says you fucks STILL piss down their backs and tell them it's raining! I wish you were slayed you retard!

Your calculation is a worthless as your nation.

  • @Crecybowman jealousy isn't in good form Nigel... Gee, i wonder who started fucking the Indians over.... Jolly olde bloody-fucking England. Where did the whites come from? JOBFE. Where did we get our wasy of doing business and dealing with folks? JOBFE most of the whites that settled the frontier still retained their ENGLISH accents, while killing and taking Indian lands. King George lost, PERIOD. You are a sore loser and so are most of you Limey fucks..... Get over it and go on.

  • @Landotter1 Ahh another retarded Americunt!.......A nation of pricks, your screwed up country is more third world than most!..What a dip-shit!

  • @Crecybowman Nice try Nigel....

  • Comment removed

  • @Crecybowman I did not start this with nasty words, you did, so I feel you need to hear things differently than your so called belief system. Americans have gotten their ways from England and never changed so don't just blame us. You had a hand in it also. You'd probably feel just fine about it all if George and his boys were still in power.... You English aren't blameless either, so shut your fucking pie-hole, you ball-bag.....

  • should it be in a museum? Gold what a suprise something know one has seen before!

  • @Crecybowman if i was in your shitty country id take them home

  • @Crecybowman put a sock in it...

  • @Crecybowman What about indian treasures .......could we claim them back....

  • @Crecybowman My VDI meter is reading +94 on the envy the Yank scale.

  • @Crecybowman omg...you people actually exist. wow!

  • @Crecybowman If I find anything I'll be sure to call you, is your number still 1-800 RAT-FINK

  • @orange70383 No, I changed it to 0800 - FUCK-YANK-CUNTS

  • @Crecybowman He is taking it back to the U.S, so we, United State citizens, can cherish and learn about your great country.

  • @Crecybowman Sore loser or what?

  • @Crecybowman Rain on your parade is a dreadful euphemism. What the hell is wrong with you? Were you going to find it? Have you been to this place searching? Do you think that he, as an American, has some kind of secret metal detector technology that you don't have? Bullshit ! He has the same available machines as us in UK but with one big difference; he knows HOW TO USE IT. Get out there and find your own gold coin you sore loser.

  • @Crecybowman Yea, but look how much money HE spends to get over their...and the cost to eat, sleep, travel. So this brings money to YOUR country. You allow metal detecting their....so YOU trade your "history" for NEW coin. Besides.....if you look back not much over 200 years ago---it was HIS "history" too. So shut up...wanker.

  • @XRayCam

so what your saying is we can go over to america and take all the colonial antiques... because as you say its our history

  • @tharronn91, well tell you what....you spend your money getting over here, pay for your own motel bill.....eat out at our restaurants "or at my place".......spend your money in our community, and you can have ALL the coins you dig up from private lands that you have permission to hunt. We gotta deal?? I bet you probably don't even take the time to visit your local museum to see all your precious "history".

  • @XRayCam

What the point in saying you'll bet i probably don't go to a museum? you don't know anything about me, so that bet and assumption isn't based on anything. lol

p.s nice ghost orb videos... though they are flies.. thought i'd let you know.

  • @tharronn91, a "bet" and "probably" are most definitely based on my assumption...and by the way you answered it>>I know proof FACT that you don't take your lazy ass to ANY museum, although you MIGHT have been there ONCE...I can't claim that here yet. You probably have a hunch back...so go TROLL around somewhere else and start more trouble. Flies will be buzzing long after you are gone.

  • @XRayCam

how can you apply your assumption to me since we have never met before? you don't have any evidence to suggest whether i do or dont visit museums, when you say i probably have a hunch back or i probably havent visited a museum what information have you based your assumptions on? im not the one trolling, your the person getting upset and insulting people over the internet. p.s you started the trouble

  • @tharronn91, okay...you are right. I must have invited you into my conversation with another person.

Whom I couldn't understand WHY he was calling these items HIS treasures :-)

But if you hadn't snapped at me FIRST...I wouldn't have included "you" in this distress. Take a look at my earliest conversation....was I talking to you?

  • @XRayCam i got involved because i disagree with what you said.. taking history from another country isnt right in my opinion and if you look back you have been the only one sending abuse

  • @tharronn91, Ahh...you say "flies" trying to stir up something. I don't care. You stuck your nose into another conversation and you got insulted...(teach you to step up-out of place) still haven't answered the question (museum) *but you don't need to* and if you look at the original text that I commented to (besides not your business at the time...) you will see that I was defending (although....yes--rudely) another mans RIGHT to visit and detect-LEGALLY in a foreign land-to not be called THIEF.

  • @XRayCam

i only said that because you snapped at me and another guy without even saying anything to you. step out of place? who the fuck are you? i do go to a museum i dont know the relivance to any of this but if it pleases you, also look back he didnt say anything about stealing. dont bother replying you're not going to win.

  • @tharronn91, shut up. your 20 years old or something. Your opinion means very little to me. Hopefully you will get to live as long as I...And you are stupid. The guy didn't actually use the word THIEF but it ment the same thing. Of course with you being ONLY a boy of age near 20 then you might not have this perception called "common sense". Go have a beer or something...you guys do drink BEER don't you?? By the gallons I suppose. LOL. Go lay down and lick yourself......

  • @XRayCam

if you had common sense you lost it long ago, maybe you should just die peacefully

  • @tharronn91, Oh...so now your trying to kill off my character....homey don't play that.

    What's a matter....mommy won't let you play anymore?? Cough..."looser".....

  • @tharronn91, Oh...and when I die, I'm taking you ALL with me ;-)

  • @Crecybowman shut up you fool, jealous much !! prick

  • @Crecybowman Shut up, a history that would have sat in the ground never to been appreciated.

  • It was 5 gold for the trip and the trip was 2 weeks. All the items were properly applied for and approved. The items were picked up on my next trip over. I have several coins registered with the Celtic coin Index, a celtic gold in the Colchester museum as part of a recorded hoard. I have recorded 9 Treasures in the last 6 years. I am also about to donate one of only 2 known mideval hawking whistles to either the Colchester on London museum.

Yank yes, theif No, Lover of history absolutely!

  • @chicagoron61 nice one Ron

  • yeh bby.... u say 5 gold in,one week? in theory'its NOT EVEN A WHOLE WEEK? its ONLY THURSDAY! fact FACT THAT YOU HAVE JUST bluntly told every one yr a thief,.LEAVING MY COUNTRY in the mornin WITH 5 GOLD COINS IN YR POCKET tuttut no respect for the TRESURE ACT 1996'' OR ENGLAND, I BET YOU GOT TRILLIONS OF ARE ARTIFACTS IN YR HOUSE STASHED THAT YOU HAVENT DECLEARD,,GO RAPE YR OWN LAND. we suffer enough wid immergration as it is, WE DONT NEED YOU helping yrself to ENGLISH PEEPLS TREASURE'S

  • Thieving yanks

  • Wonderfull feeling ai?....congratulations!, i cant wait till next year to hit the spots.

until now home improvement is going on.

    Greetz from the Netherlands

  • That's pretty wild, and exciting.

  • Incredibly, I found an 1863 Victorian 'Shield' Gold Sovereign whilst investigating a field without a metal detector in Cheshire back in 1976. I later returned there expecting to find more with the metal detector, but only found a badly corroded 1894 Farthing!

  • Sweet!!!! I found one too in New York!!!!!!!

  • Friday Mor.....Thursday Ni.....Thursday aft....eh....afternoon, its about 11 o'clock...

Haha mate, I think that gold find went to your head! :P

Only messing thou, cracking find, id be loopy too!

  • Love the video, Btw, Is it Friday or Thursday?, and is it not 11 in the morning rather than in the afternoon?

  • did u say u gonna melt gold???

  • Great find Ron. Congratulations, Bill and Carol Ann

  • your so lucky

  • whats the deal in England.....if you find "anything" technically you have to turn it into the government? Or is it just treasure valued over a certain amount

  • @inkey2, I'm pretty sure it has to do with something like exceptionally rare items, or when you find something like 4 or 5....plus items found within a very close proximity to each other to consider them a HOARD. That they become property of the country....but then you are given FAIR market value (split) between you and the landowner.

  • i'll bet England has to be the most fun place on the planet to treasure hunt....thousands of years of history

  • hihihi!!! lol

  • ur reaction is very funny :) i am happy on ur success, that is quite a find! I have just started detecting as a hobby and so far all i have found is small placer nuggets, like couple of pennyweight. oh well whether or not i find a fortune, its just the hunt that makes it fun! good luck to u sir! thanks for sharing.

  • @MarcfromTreasureNet1 hello, i live in Brétigny sur Orge(91) essonne, 30 kms of south of Paris, near to the forest and the country, and you where do you live, if you want to come with me and my friend for a spectacular Dectection party, call me 06 77 54 48 53.byby

  • this is not gold this just bull sheet :)

  • how much is a gold coin like that worth

  • @sciontcdude i would guess, with todays gold prices, the gold value could be as much as $700+ (hard to tell the size of the coin)....then add the numismatic, coin collectors value.....and the sky is the limit.....could be worth at "least" 2000

  • nice piece, gold baby gold!!!!! if you want too see my collection private, i had 2 pieces of gold 20 dollards find in france, in the forest, it's probably one military in the war 1939-45 who'd lose this beutiffull money in gold: 2 piece 33 grs gold, 1892 and 1925 , estimation 900 dollards for one, come in france my friend it's magic!!!

  • @Jules91100 julienmenivalle@hotmail.fr read me and take photos

  • lol Gold-dance

    what detector you using?

    nice find

  • @plectrumKing At the time I was using the Whites MXT. I am now using an Explorer SE.

  • Ron..your enthusiasm is infectious!! Really interesting..especially your visit to the British Museum. I'm sure one of your local Chicago TV companies would be interested in your videos.

  • @troikagirl Thanks! Hope one of them see your post and give me a call! LOL

  • In England, in centuries gone by, people used to "clip" little bits of gold or silver off the edge of the coins, and then pass the coin on. After they had built up their free "booty" they would sell or trade it.

This was a capital offence..if caught, you would have been hung.

The government introduced "milled" edges to high value coins, to deter "clipping".

  • @troikagirl also.....in the USA I have seen antique "clipping detectors"...an item that you can check a coin to see if it had been clipped. It was just a slab of brass or steel with coin sized indentations in it for each of the denominations...the 5 dollar gold piece, $10, $20 etc. You placed your gold coin in it....if there was some play or movement back and fourth....that would indicate it had been clipped

  • If Americans are stealing your gold. I guess the Spanish stole Americas gold! Ya know that gold may have been mined in the Americas! So I guess it's going back to it's home!

  • Nice coin, I have fields to detect all around Colchester but yet to find anything decent. So far only found a 1625 hammered silver been detecting about 10 years. It's true there isn't that much in UK fields. Do some research and you can find some things. I have Roman sites and older but still find plenty of crap...

  • Crazy cool! Nice find! Have to love the UK!

    Best,

    Chris

  • Holy crap :-O!!!!!!

  • That looks like a 2 Escudo Spanish Doubloon. Very nice what ever it is.

    mike from germany

  • that is one bad ass coin!!!! thats a dream find! great video!

  • NICE coin! Whats does milled actually mean? is it NOT us currency?? Thanks and HH to you!

  • Milled refers to the way the coin was made. Prior to the late 1600's coins were hammered ( hand made with a hammer and 2 dies) After that they were made by mechanical means, pressed between 2 dies ( milled ) by hand crank and later by machines.

  • Cant bellive you !

  • LOL you lucky git !
