Actually the Taliban was left in power after the CIA stopped operating in the country. That's a proven fact, but hey you chose your own form of government. Also with Iraq we could have bought oil at a cheaper prices if we left Saddam in power. When your a super power you end up with plenty of critics. Most of the worlds conflicts are Muslims not get along with their neighbors. I'm sure we'd all be better off as part of a Islamic empire, but I'll keep my western values.

I guess it has to do with the personal freedoms and better standard of living and everything else. You can't sit in a liberal university and talk badly about a country any where in the Middle East.
