I love the Capucon brothers, but I don't always agree with Renaud's slides. I know he can get to notes without them.  But that doesn't mean he's a bad musician. We just have some contrasting views. But that's okay.

Portamento (sliding) is an indispensable element of 19th-century violin style. Capucon should be commended for using it.

How ridiculous! People are talking about her outfit and not about the music! She obviously likes this outfit, take a look at her 1999 performance of the Liszt #1 concerto in Beppu, also on Youtube...
