Imagine if Rose had been there...I dunno, I'm just picturing her kissing him all old and stuff. But imagine if she HAD been there. The story would have been a lot different. Maybe even better.
@OwlCityFan26 I don't think Rose would be as strong as Martha, no offence but I see Martha as a bit more stronger and more disciplined. That's probably why she joined UNIT.
Because if he hadn't grabbed onto the TARDIS, it wouldn't go out of control and go to 100 Trillion and wouldn't have met Yana which would not hav driven him to open the watch so he wouldn't take over the world
@adamcbourke Personally, I think the Doctor never should have abandoned Jack in the first place, or tried to run off a second time. I love Ten to pieces, but he's made pretty bad decisions and the way he treated Jack was certainly up there. Hey, he could have stuck around in Cardiff for a few hours and sorted things out. But then again... poof goes the plot.
They say American TV is the best at this kinda stuff...I say...this is Doctor Who, and it comes on BBC1, and made in Wales. This 3 episode story alone easily beats most of the top scifi movies.
Alright, scene 20 was deleted, so I can't point out where I heard it, but you hear a voiceover of a man saying something along the lines of "the toclaphane, they're killing us" and it sounds like Mickey. I swear it's Noel Clarke's voice Am I insane or does it sound like his voice to you too?
@liongirlfc John barrowman is scottish he moved to america with his family and kids at skool teased him because of his accent so the spoke in an American accent and still does except on certain things only shown in the uk. Jack himself is from a different planet and lived in America until the 2nd world war when he came over to fight
I think that this is the best cliffhanger for a series finale of the Russell Davies era. The others are good, too, and The Stolen Earth is the most sensational. It depended upon the sudden shock of The Doctor regenerating. In this, the buildup is up and down and gradual: it looks like they have a plan with the filters that can work, then everything falls apart. The Master disables The Doctor, and all falls on sweet little Martha on some lonely mission. But The Last of the Timelords is poor.
@alphasia91 I didn't think was a jerk. He was the straight man to Saxon so had to be serious and seem to be trying to stay patient, and he wasn't really any more serious than you'd expect him to be in that situation. British people (at least those from Southern England and a few other places) do tend to be more reserved than Americans, especially our politicians who are more business-like. Maybe the writers had the president act more like we do and it can be interpreted as arrogant in the US?
@alphasia91 I'm an American and I do not think he was a jerk did he destory most of earth while smiling and laughing I don't think so pus Americans play the Doctor and Jack himself is an american.
There's been worse, I think the President was portrayed as Americanish, but a good kind, he called the Master an ass and didn't like him, and if you don't like the villain, you're a good guy.

Fantastic episode! The Master is such an awsome enemy! The best ones are always the ones who are as good as the hero!

I love how they made the American president into a complete jerk. Do all British people think that Americans are ridiculous?

@liongirlfc Jack's not american. He's a time agent who grew up off-world, then time-travelled through mostly english history.
