  • i'm gonna take 25 hits of acid and listen to this song on repeat for the next 6 hours, what a good sunday night.

  • @robmadore1 you lucky bloke

  • @dudewtfpasswind Laughed at all the people that think sudden philosophers are somehow less philosophical than any other philosopher.

    ;P

  • I saw them live in Warrington on the day Kid A came out in 2000. I spent 4 hours waiting outside HMV in Manchester so I could buy the album first thing! Good memories.... It has aged better than the Bends in my opinion.

  • @timticklerful Where abouts in Warrington, i live there :)

  • I listened to Radiohead when I played Limbo :)

  • Who else is hearing the whole album through?

  • Optimistic sent me here

  • im sure he just means that everyone has their, own limbo they live in, perhaps an imagination of how they want their world to be, insteed of realising how to world really is. sry for my english.

  • @Isosurfer No worries, If you want to know how close you were, compare to my edit...

    "

I'm sure he means everyone has a personal limbo of perception rather than the reality that remains.

    "

    ;)

Worth repeating, if you ask me.

  • @dudewtfpasswind What if we're all living in a world that isn't real?

What if we're all part of something bigger?

    What if we're all connected?

WHAT IF WE LIVE IN THE MATRIX!!!!

  • @dudewtfpasswind Wait, I'm not? Shit.

  • Long live Radiohead.

  • Spoken lyrics are just another tone in the song stop thinking and just listen to the sound.

  • music for communist nihilists, or drug addicts.

  • ONE OF THE TRIPPIEST SONGS EVER

  • @TETTSUUO untrue

  • Big thanks to everyone whos helping clutter the comments section with uninspired derogatory finger-pointing. It really helps distact from the music, and at the same time adds nothing significant to anything you're apparently trying to discuss. Nice job.

  • @dudewtfpasswind Oh-so-offended.

  • @dudewtfpasswind Do you say that because you're also a brainless addict? Or you just like to troll around?

  • @dudewtfpasswind Being a mediocre Radiohead fan, i'd say hardcore Radiohead fans are some of the most pretentious people i've ever seen

  • @lordaborter and when your gay, your high as hell

  • i'm so high

  • You can download limbo for free from megafire.org\?nlVnuN ¸

  • when your high, your gay

  • Kid A's a funny album; the impact was so different back in 2000 after like, two years of intense OK Computer loving. Looking back, this is one of my favourites, although comparatively understated. Relateable message, I think.

  • I might as well be listening to silence. This was boring before it was repetitive.

  • @Interation01 you're boring and repetitive. and you suck

  • @Interation01 eat shit

  • Favorite song off the record

  • Tonight, I'm falling asleep to Kid A. Is it crazy? Probably.

  • @Stiny114 Best album ever to listen to before bed. You're in a for a treat.

  • @MEYERS3000 I dunno. Never listened to it before bed but love it in the morning! :)

  • @Stiny114 Laying in bed with all of the lights off, listening to Pink Floyd or Radiohead. It's insanely cool.

  • @CoastersForever Ditto.

Especially In Rainbows and Dark Side of the Moon. Good stuff.

  • @CoastersForever I don't know about "insanely cool." I listened to this album in bed at 4AM, and it scared the shit out of me.

  • Yeah, this and "Kid A" are the best songs of the record

  • This is my fav. track off kid A

  • They sound good no matter what-sober, not sober, psychotic, take your pick I guess....incredible is one of the few words in the English language that come to mind when listening to these guys :-) They are ALL so f***ing WICKED at what they do!!!!

  • Thom's right, I am living in a fantasy. But since Radiohead is here with me, how could I complain?

  • There's some incredible drumming on this song. Fuck yeah Phil

  • Winception

  • the intro is pure magic

  • You should delete this.

  • @AmonOfTheSahelijos You should go away.

  • I love that guitar intro.

  • better then ok computer?

  • @Dominic078 they're about equal I'd say. I did like Kid A more at first though, which is weird, cause for most fans its the other way around.

  • One person hasn't seen inception.

  • this is a great playlist, a much under-appreciated album. Not sure how long I would let another band get away with this sort of thing, though!

  • so funny. my favorite Radiohead song changes from day-to-day [throws up hands] --- maybe i should just give in and think of their music as one continual song ... and *that* will be my favorite ...

  • Before I read the lyrics to this, I heard "Another message I can't read" as "I'm living in a fantasy"..... which seemed appropriate, given the tone of the album.

  • what is it with this picture,,,white montains surounded by electric smog needled by black tunnels of deviance?

  • this reminds me of...long lost memories. especially the intro. and 2:13 on. all of it is amazing, though

  • A great tune. "Kid A" is an album that gets stronger every year. I think it's the most important record of the past decade.

  • am I the only one who doesnt like Kid A ?

Like, its an okay album with this song, Idoiteque, motion picture soundtrack and How to disappear completely, but otherwise, I dont really like the album.

And, all the songs on the album sound different, so why are people judging Radiohead's songs based on the albums?

People should be comparing songs, not albums. I can't find a Radiohead song that sounds the same to anything I've ever heard.

I like the song Life in a Glass House and Let Down XD

  • @Vincentskater1 Yes you're the only one who doesn't like Kid A

  • @Akshay8585 forever alone

  • @Vincentskater1 the problem is albums are meant to be listened to as a whole, and judged likewise. Especially with radiohead, because each album is its own amazing trip.

  • @Vincentskater1 Faggot

  • @Mr11MUSICMAN a perfectt prime example of someone who doesn't truly love their mother. ^^

  • @Vincentskater1 A perfect prime example of a full blown e fag.

  • You hear this album, and then you hear "King of Limbs", and you think, "Man... what happened?"

"Kid A" and "Hail to the Thief" are mind-blowing. Their last two albums, not so much.

  • @SamiasCaesar what?

In Rainbows and, especially, Disc 2 are incredibly awesome.

  • @DDevilized I don't know, man. In Rainbows was great. Don't get me wrong. But in my opinion, it still lacked something. I think their lives have become overwhelmed by age and family. It's by no means something I shun them for. I believe their talent is still there, but their creativity has already passed its prime.

  • @SamiasCaesar I agree. OK Computer and Kid A (and possibly Amnesiac) represented the zenith of their career. It doesn't happen to every musician (look at Tom Waits), but I think they've gone a bit soft in middle-age.

  • @NotHomelessAnymore In Rainbows is pretty sweet mate

  • @SamiasCaesar I have to disagree with In Rainbows. I thought In Rainbows was pretty awesome. I tend to avoid Hail to the Thief, because I don't agree with it politically, but musically it's pretty good. I'll agree that King of the Limbs was pretty underwhelming. It was pretty clear that Radiohead didn't really dedicate themselves to it like they did with Kid A or Amnesiac or, hell, In Rainbows.

  • @shdowhunt60 King of Limbs was WHAT? >:C

  • @shdowhunt60 Lol sorry, but King Of Limbs is a lot of post-in rainbows organic yet electronic jazzy win.

  • I never really knew this song because whenever i listened through Kid A I just thought it was still part of Optimistic so whenever i looked at the track listing i was like wtf is In Limbo?

  • kid A and radiohead are the opposite of music so people who like them do not like music. they have managed somehow to replace running out of ideas with WE'RE EXPERIMENTING you dont fool me.

  • in limbo with saito

  • As good as there stuff has been to this day, including king of limbs, it lacks the magical, ethreal quality of Kid A. The music on this album is so out of this world and mind blowing it's hard to believe it was created by humans. It takes you to other dimensions. It's simply one the best albums ever created.

  • Dear Radiohead: You may keep the heart that I so willfully gave you. It truly belongs to you.

    Love, Mike

  • @magnacore11 Haha, Love it :)

  • i wish i was in limbo. so i didnt have to listen to this song. queens of the stone age rule

  • @GianTheMan91 I understand what you're trying to say, but how would being in limbo help? Limbo is one of the layers of hell. You can't control how you are tormented, so maybe they'll only play this song for you.

  • @GianTheMan91 Oh you are SOOOOOOO clever. Trollin on Radiohead vids. Mmmmhmmm, great example of a wasted life right here

  • This song fits the game of the same name

  • @Coljj It honestly does xD

  • best song on kid a

  • i'm listening to the lyrics now, they're amazing!

  • @ForgottenHamster your cant listen to lyrics lol..

  • "YOU LIVE IN A FANTASY WORLD" Genius at the start of 2:57 they should have made that piece another song.

  • When I bought my copy of Kid A this song wasnt in, it only played when I tried to turn my CD Player off.

  • HAPPY 10TH BIRTHDAY, KID A!

  • 'You're living in a fantasy' - we all agree with you :)

  • When you're high, on pot at least, Radiohead kind of lose their meaning. It just becomes an incredible trip, which I used to love. But I've since realized that listening to this music while sober is much more moving, and much more emotional. The point of Radiohead is not to listen to while high, but to become high from the music itself and truly escape all your problems without getting altered.

  • @milkshakejiggle one use isnt better then the other just more meaningful

  • @milkshakejiggle agree

  • @milkshakejiggle your a genius! :D

  • @milkshakejiggle Words of wisdom.

  • @milkshakejiggle wow really true.. great comment

  • @milkshakejiggle

I wholeheartedly disagree. Whenever I am in trips, I am extremely emotional. And this song helps elate me into euphoria. when it's just weed, i delve into it. when it's something else, it uplifts me, and I contemplate the beauty that is seen so vividly in the imagination, and eventually reality.

  • @milkshakejiggle this is music for pot smokers.

  • @milkshakejiggle you're a fagg stfu you straight edge pos.. ohh look at me, i overcame POT! hahaha loser!

  • @milkshakejiggle So true, so wise. Good for you.

  • @milkshakejiggle

who are you to say what happens to other people on weed?

who are you to say what the point of an artists work is? All you can do is speculate, so don't interfere with other people's experience by trying to enforce your own fucked-up reality on them [ =

  • @milkshakejiggle if you want to escape your problems. there is no escape and getting high helps you forget about your problems more than just being sober.

  • @NoSurprisesPlease0 Yeah, but your just "escaping" your problems by getting high. Your running away from the things you don't have the courage to face. People with no problems in their lives don't need to do drugs because they face their problems head on instead of running away like a coward. Drugs are the cowards way out. And I realize you said that getting high "helps", but your problems only increase during your absence away from them.

  • @JimmyPageMarley1 alright so let me get this straight, you have no idea what my problems are and you saying im a coward. thats pretty funny. if you were in my shoes you wouldnt be saying things like that. i get high to help myself relax and relieve stress which in my opinion is not bad at all. i know youre the kind of person who has a really good life so you shun people who have problems.

  • @NoSurprisesPlease0 And all I know is that you have a horrible life, but I could be wrong. Listen, everyone's lives are different. I was wrong to assume that if someone takes drugs, their life is automatically worse than what it would be if they didn't take drugs. We both have different perspectives on drugs. You seem to use drugs to help relieve stress, that by getting a high, you're "escaping" reality. My perspective is, is I have lost so many friends to drugs, that I'm totally against drugs.

  • @JimmyPageMarley1 well i see what you mean and im not going to judge you. because drugs arent so innocent either. but please do not judge people who you do not know. not everybody's life is perfect , and ive lost my fair share of close ones as well. we can end it at this if you would like.

  • @NoSurprisesPlease0 Sometimes, I wish I could get to know people on Youtube or Xbox Live or whatever, just because of how mature they seem. But alas, I cannot. Thanks for not going off like a child. And I apoligize for going on like an old man. And while I've been wasting my life writing these comments, I've listened to this incredible song like 10 times.

  • @NoSurprisesPlease0 That's not a solution...

  • @lukeskymac there's no solution.

  • @NoSurprisesPlease0 I'm sorry, but unless your problems involve realizing you are an immortal demon that will soon rampage and destroy civilization (or something else big, bad, and unavoidable), saying that just makes you seem a loser.

  • @lukeskymac hahaha as if i give the slightest shit if you think im a "looser"

  • @milkshakejiggle I prefer Radiohead either way.

  • @milkshakejiggle i dont smoke to 'escape'. it just heightens all my senses and helps me to appreciate their multi-leveled music on multiple levels. the sober mind isnt nearly as powerful. ever heard of lsd? yeah, take some of that and listen to radiohead. welcome to the first day of the rest of your life

and lol @ you lames acting like an anti-drug commercial. there is such thing as responsible use for the purposes of meditation and understanding

  • @sansdeity420 Ugh, again the "makes my mind more powerful" bullshit. Also, the only confirmed therapeutical use for any non-pharmaceutical drug is giving marijuana to TERMINALLY ILL CANCER PATIENTS WHO DONT EAT ANYTHING. Anything besides that makes you either a hippie or a tool. Alas, those two sometimes share similarities.

  • @sansdeity420

well said man. I smoke occasionally but when I do my favorite thing to do is listen to music, especially Radiohead. and of course, responsible use is the most important thing

  • @milkshakejiggle It's because music is a drug! A lot of people won't agree or even listen to my point of view, but music makes us feel so many different emotions and we lose ourselves in the beat or catchy rhythm, and even know all the words to at least one song! Music alters our minds and feelings and is most definately a drug whether people acknowledge it or not

  • @evilbelow that assumes that the concept of a drug is something that makes you feel good. Which is not. And that totally makes you look like an apologetical addict.

  • @evilbelow Drugs manipulate neurotransmitters... this does not.

  • @brncosdood41 doesn't it? have you heard of dopamine, serotonin, etc?

  • @evilbelow Music is ritual...

  • Why do people who seek to impress others by saying that a song is better to listen to whilst high always get thumbed up? Its pretty lame.

  • @hudsonmarco The reason is because they try to impress others and then succeed. But personally I just get high off this song.

  • @qpwo6 You don't need drugs to feel like you're tripping out while listening to this song. Lmao.

  • @hudsonmarco because its fucking awesome on acid dude

  • i always play radiohead as loud as i can when i drive... love the outro to this song, it makes me melt in my body

  • @rdaidsicoghoelafd I'M melting at this very moment.........aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh yesssss.......

  • Anyone notice a similarity between the lyrics of this song and the idea of being in Limbo in the movie Inception? Snap, my brain just exploded

  • @Desperado8600 fucking EXACTLY. "you're living in a fantasy"

  • Comment removed

  • @Desperado8600 YES i noticed the same thing. Inception was a great movie!

  • @Desperado8600 Oh my God, you're right.

As soon as I saw the title for the song, I thought "...Inception?"

    XD

  • everytime i hear this song i'm in limbo

  • in an interview he said he love swimming in the sea so i can bet when Thom wrote this song was thinking bout how beautyful is have a bath in the sea far from the shore..just far from the world.. completely agree with him

  • lsd + shroomies + kid A= mystical trance

  • fave radiohead song atm, so nostalgic somehow.

  • The lyric is actually "Lundy, Fastnet, Irish Sea, I got a message I can't read". (It's from the BBC Shipping Forecast.)

  • @skonkfactory I don't know why skonkfactory is getting thumbs down, he's right :)

  • StooOoOoOned.... =)

  • Does anyone know what time signature this song is in?

  • I am guessing 8/4 would be the best way to say that; 4 beats of lyrics and 4 beats of instruments is how most of it goes.

  • it sounds like simple 4/4 timing fits

  • 6/4? The guitar plays triplet quavers over the top, so you could argue the guitar plays in 18/8.

  • The chorus is then in 4/4

  • I think it's 6/4 with triplet quavers

  • I think you're a dashing specimen who's out to make a difference in the world

  • @Kevosk I think Youtube comments have never made any difference in the world and never will anyway so fuck off

  • I think you have a really weird way of accepting compliments, but I still love you.

  • @Kevosk I think I made a mistake by taking your reply in another way I also suffer bipolar disorder so sorry...you're cool

  • That's okay, I'm pretty sure I'm depressed. Let's enjoy radiohead

  • Podkład muzyczny genialny.

  • the guitar part to this song is mesmerising. every time I listen to this album it's this song that sticks in my head all day.

  • They're pretty solid whilst sober too. =)

  • ha... whilst.... (^_^)b

  • @Fehklar Im hungover

  • best band to listen to high ever...period

  • @LC1Banana nope, my bloody valentine are but RH are the best band ever

  • @LC1Banana pink floyd man? idkkkk close

  • Relaxing as always. Typical Radiohead! =D

    5/5

  • @K7K7K1 i always found radiohead to be a very chaotic lull, actually, very unrestful - that's why i like it.

but it is all interpretation, permeates differently for all of us.
