  • Hello KennyChumsky, I have a question for you on that ring with the Copper in it Iv'e done two fans already the ring with the copper I had noted the the ring had metal in the inside of ring & aluminum in the outer-side of ring what would you classified this as?

  • @fdlkfoo Irony Aluminum =) Your non-ferrous junk yard should take it =)

  • @KennyChumsky Thank you it will go into my Non-ferrous pile of goods:) Happy Hunting.

  • @fdlkfoo You too... Happy Scrapping!

  • Your vids are just amazing, Thank you for weighing out the final metal and precious metal in the end to let me know the money worth. This information alone to me is worth gold! I will make my first scrapping trip tomorrow! keep making these vids plz, already subscribed!

  • @jay429429 Thank you VERY!! Much Comments like these really mean a lot to us!

  • i been scrapping for a few yrs now and i came across ur video where u were taking apart a ceiling fan u used to just scrap it but after ur video i been taking them apart to get the copper thanks for the videos!

  • @tdubb505 Your Welcome! It means a lot when you take take out to comment. Have you subscribed? Just wondering could not tell by looking at your channel. If not, subscriber because every 100 subs we do a fun bonus video. Thanks again!

  • That fan is awesome. You could of used it as a boat anchor. That's some good profit out of such a small unit! Good score in my opinion

  • Question to everyone. I found a small bucket of used cabinet knobs which initially I thought were brass then under closer inspection I noticed where some are worn from hands grabbing, the color on those areas is silvery, polished bright silver. They're real heavy/dense and brass color even down the screw hole threads, but the silvery worn part has me confused.. or does brass do that from skin oil over time? They're non-magnetic. Whatcha' think?

  • @xIntoThePitx My guess would pot metal, but maybe you will get lucky and they will be white brass. When in doubt put it in with the brass and let the scrap yard point it out to you, or just separate and ask the yard their opinion.

  • @xIntoThePitx one way to find out will be to smash it with a hammer or cut into it the inner metal will tell u what it is remember u get paid for the metal not the finish!

  • getting top dollar from scrap requires time! by that i mean breaking things down and separating them copper, aluminum, brass, sheet iron! even tho metal is sometimes only $0.02 its still worth saving i scrap and i break everything down for the precious metal retrieval it pays off in the end!

  • @tdubb505 Absolutely!!! When we first started scrapping we use to not scrap metal... Now we scrap it all.... Can't ignore that it all adds up!

  • the chains are not i repeat not always brass!

  • @tdubb505 You are right. We added an annotation to the video. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

  • I just started scraping and I did my first tv the other day. Thank you for the video I would not have been able to do it without your video.

  • @geekygirl76 You are welcome! Thank you for taking your time out to comment!

  • It sucks here in Nova Scotia..you can't really scrap like that here because garbage day only happens once every 2 weeks and the only thing that is aloud to be put out for pickup is actual garbage..like food waste, paper, food jars and cans.of coarse refundable cans and bottles`are aloud as well but it's illegal to take those from the curb. the only time you can scrap around here is in the spring and fall at cleanup time when appliances and other heavy metal stuff is put out for pick up. :(.

  • @percaine I hear you... I know some people in areas like that are using craigslist, facebook or newspaper ads to promote free pickup or even charge removal fees for appliances. That way they can scrap all year. I'm lucky where I am... Very easy to come by...

  • so how do you get this out hmm... bigger hammer hahahahaha. love the vids and you two keep them coming!!

  • great vids, me and my brother started scrapping a couple weeks ago kinda by accident. my mom ig getting work done on the front of her house and we took the awning and hand rails and a few other things to scrap, got a nice few bucks and we were hooked. its a lot of work but i think its fun

  • Man! Thats just pure scrappin' thuggary! Love it, just smash the christ out of it :)
